"Why don't you spend your weekend here dear? It's been three weeks you visited here" Ruby's voice was worried. "Aunty next week I'll be there and you have a surprise!" Harika replied with a grin."Really! I'm waiting to meet you dear! Don't make me wait for a long time like your mom!" She complained. "No worries aunty, next Sunday by this time, I'll be there!" She said with assurance."Ok dear! Take care" she replied with care and ended the call. "Mom! Will Harika visit our home this weekend?" Adhi asked with amusement. "No dear! She will visit next week" his smile vanished hearing her reply."Nowadays Why she is avoiding to visit our home?" He asked with a rage. "She is in her final year, she has several works to do. So we can't force her. You should always remember that she is here for her studies not for picnic" Ruby answered sternly"Whatever?" He muttered and left the place. Ruby never supported him in his wishes for Harika. She always treated her as her own child and never thought to hurt her. Everytime she prayed to God that Adhi's behaviour shouldn't hurt her.Harika was busy in her studies for the whole week. She hardly had time to chat with Harish. He was busy with his business too and he understood her state and never disturbed her.She breathed in relief once her work got completed. That night she slept happily to welcome her mom the next morning...Harika woke up early in that morning. She was very excited to receive her mom. She got ready in the dress which her mom presented for her last birthday. Her face glowed up with a pretty smile. She reached the airport and waited for her mom.Flight landed and Harika's long time wish came true that day. She happily welcomed her mom. "Mommy!" She hugged her tightly once she saw her.She hugged her back with same intensity of love and kissed her forehead. "How are you my angel?" She asked with a beautiful smile. "Fine amma! But I missed you a lot" Harika replied from her heart. She smiled keeping her in her embrace.They both reached her hostel in the next half an hour. Devi got freshened up and both strated to Ruby's home. "Mom! Aunty is going to be dumbstruck seeing you after a long! It's gonna be a great surprise for her" Harika expressed her happiness.Devi smiled as a response. She never thought to visit India but now she couldn't deny it for her daughter. She gazed the beautiful city, "city changed completely!" She uttered surprisingly."Yes mom! There are many changes happened even in this last four years. You're visiting here after twenty years, so it will be surprise for you to see this new city" Harika agreed her statement.They both reached Ruby's home in the next half an hour. "Mom! You stay here! You should come only after getting my call! Okay?" She instructed and Devi nodded her head with a smile.Harika reached the main door and pressed the calling bell. Adhi opened the door and his eyes dazzled seeing her. "Hi Adhi! Where is Ruby aunty?" Harika asked eagerly, his smile vanished."Mom!" Ruby reached the main door hearing his voice. "Harika! How are you dear?" She greeted happily seeing her. She hugged her and kissed her forehead. "I'm fine aunty! As I said there is a surprise for you" Harika exclaimed happily. Ruby looked puzzled. "What's that dear?" She asked with a smile. Harika called her mom and Devi entered her home.Ruby's eyes welled up with tears. "Devi!" She hugged her tightly once she saw her. Harika's heart fluttered in happiness seeing their bond.They both had a beautiful time after a long time. "You're nice Harika! You made my mom's day happy! Thank you for that" Adhi thanked her, for which she smiled as a response. They both left Ruby's home in the evening. "Mom! Shall we meet Harish today? If you are tired let's meet him tomorrow" Harika asked, "no problem Harika! Let's meet him today" she said with a assuring smile making her more happy."Hello Harish! Are you free now? Shall we meet for dinner?" Harika asked, "Yeah sure Harika! You said mom will be visiting today right?" He replied."Yeah Harish! She is with me. Let's meet for dinner today" Harika said and ended the call. She was very excited to introduce her mom to Harish. Devi also felt excited to meet Harish as he was the one who changed her daughter.Harika and Devi reached the venue and waited for Harish. He reached the place after five minutes. "Sorry Harika! I was late" he apologized. "No Harish! Just now we too reached" she replied and took him to the table she booked."Ma! He is Harish" Harika introduced him to her. She greeted him with a beautiful smiled. "Hi aunty! Pleasure meeting you!" He greeted her with a grin.They three had their dinner by discussing about some random stuffs. Harika noticed that Harish easily mingled with her family and that brought a strange satisfaction in her heart. "Really Harish! I need to thank you" Devi said making his eyebrows knotted. "Why aunty?" He asked surprisingly."I never seen my daughter this happy before. She never enjoyed her life, she will be a bookworm always with books and spending her most of the times in library. Several times I thought, I was the reason behind her not so happy nature. She never had friends too! I always had a feeling that I was the reason for her nature because I never spent my time with her.The main reason for my visit is to meet you. Thank you!" She thanked him heartily."No aunty! She naturally has that charm but she refused to show that to the outside world. Now she is being herself! You don't wanna thank me" Harish said with smile making her happy. Harika was not with them at that time, she went to bring dessert for them both."What's going on? You both look so serious?" Harika asked handing over the sweet bowl. "Nothing much madam! We were just discussing about your studies" he said and they three had a good time.Harish left bidding them good bye. Harika and Devi stayed in a hotel."Mom! I have several things to talk with you!" Harika ejaculated. "I'm going to spend my next one with my loving daughter and I am happy to listen to all of your stories" she replied lovingly hugging her.Harika's heart fluttered, she never had such a beautiful time with her mom in her life. She always longed for that moment.She made Harika to lie on her lap and heard her stories. Harika started from the day she visits India and she continued about her college days, hostel, her roommate and the fight she had with her senior" Devi listened everything with a smile and caressed her hair until she fall asleep.Once after she slept, Devi thought about the reason she accepted to visit India. She was surprised when Harika started talking about Harish and one day she got a call from Harish which surprised her a lot.He was the one who let her know about Harika's wishes. He said whatever she missed in those nineteen years. She never complained her in those days but she longed for her endearment. Harish made her understood what she failed to give her daughter.She thought giving a secured life and luxury environment will keep her contented but she realised Harika yearned for love and care which she failed to give as a mother.For some reasons she refused to show that love and affection to anyone around her but because of her trauma she failed as mother. That though pierced her heart making her eyes wet.She took a deep breath gazing her daughter's beautiful face.
