Harika spent that whole week with her mom. She felt those were the blissful days of her life. She sent her off with tears."Chill Harika! Anyway next month you will be visiting your home right? So no worries!" Harish said making her smile a bit."Harish! Shall we go for a drive? I'll feel better if I could catch some fresh air" Harika asked with hesitation but he agreed happily.He reached her hostel in next half an hour. They both went for a long drive.He took her to a beautiful spot and Harika loved his selection. They both were silent for some time. Harish broke that silence."Hey! Why are you looking so dull? I took you here to make you happy but you're looking so dull!" He muttered."I'm missing my mom Harish! In these twenty two years, I never spent a whole week with her. She rarely stay in my home. Everytime she will be busy with her business life but it never meant she doesn't care me.She cared me a lot and that's the reason she worked very hard. It's really tough to survive as a single mother for a girl child but she bravely took that responsibility and she too succeeded in that. Not only as a mom, she was successful in her profession also. She is an iron lady!" She exalted making him puzzled."Single mother? Means your dad?" He asked with confusion. Her face turned red in exasperation hearing that."Hey! I'm sorry if I asked something wrong" he apologized. "No Harish! You're not wrong but my dad is a wrong person.How could a person leave a gem like my mom? But he left her without any concern. He left us when I was kid and mom strated to work hard for my secured future.She will never visit me because I mostly resembles my dad. She always says that my eyes were exactly like his. That was the most bad complement I heard.I hate that person a lot Harish! I really want to meet him once and I should question him! My mom, she is really great.She never complained him nor allowed me to talk bad about him even after his betrayal. How could he leave a person like her?This is the reason, why I lost interest in every relationship! I never got emotionally attached with anyone in my life and I completely lost trust in men" Harika blurted out the truth which she hide within herself all those days.Harish looked her with astonishment. He never thought she would be having a bitter childhood. Earlier he understood that she is longing for her mom's love. Now he understood she that she is a puzzle."Cool down Harika! Everything happened for a reason and never forget that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction! Same like that for every criminal, punishment is a cripple, but it will arrive for sure" he said making her smile."Don't be upset! Cheer up!" He made her smile more. They both stayed there for a long time discussing about several things which made her laugh wholeheartedly at the end of the day.He dropped her in her hostel in the evening and returned back to him home.Next day,"Today I'm going to talk with that patient!" Harika said making Varsha confused."Whom you're talking about?" She asked, "that patient in 101!" She replied with a grin."Don't you know his name?" Varsha asked annoyingly. "Yeah Varsha! I never noticed his name. Don't you know about that patient? He is the most critical case!" Harika said."Why are you so interested in dealing with mentally affected people?" Varsha annoyed. "I love to explore people! I truly wanna understand the different personalities of people. So I decided to join MD in Psychiatry after my MBBS" Harika declared her mind making Varsha more surprised."Varsha I need your help in this. Stay here and let me know if someone come" Harika said making her stand infront the door."Harika you're taking unwanted risks! Do you think it's necessary now?" She asked worriedly. "Please Varsha! For my satisfaction" Harika convinced her and entered into his room silently.First thing she remembered was Varsha's comment.She thought what she said was true, how long she will say room number 101, so she decided to find his name. She took his report and found his name."Karthik! Hmm nice name!" She thought and took a glance of that document. She decided to talk with him, so she went near him. The past thoughts flashed in her memory making her shiver but she managed and walk near him.She found his eyes were closed but she could find movement in his eyes. When she was exploring his face, he opened his eyes suddenly making her jump in fear.His face was fully filled with rage once he saw her. He stood up immediately and walked near her making her gulp in fear.He held her hand with strong grip. "Varsha! Help" she screamed and her hand bag fall on the ground because of his strong grip. He tried to injure her arms with a needle. She shouted in fear. Varsha heard her scream and opened the door immediately. She was stunned seeing her miserable state, with her eyes welled up with tears."Karthik! Please listen to me. I didn't come here to hurt you or to give medicine. I'm your friend! I came here to talk with you!" She managed and talked with him looking his face but he didn't listened her scream.  He just decided to pierce the needle into her skin. He took the needle and brought that near her hand."Harika! Be careful!" Varsha screamed witnessing the horrible scene infront of her eyes. Harika's eyes welled up with tears. Her hands were shaking terribly. She thought she is going to die but like a magic, he dropped the knife and stood near her like a statue with wide eyes.Harika breathed in relief. She couldn't understand what miracle just happened to stop him from hurting her. But at the same time, Varsha entered the room with few nurses and ward boy.They seperated him from her but she understood that he was calm. She couldn't realize the true reason for his sudden behaviour change. She thought something calmed his agressive action.She decided to find out the cause and she believed that will bring a change in his state. She felt happy even in that miserable situation.Varsha was the one who worried a lot. She applied the medicine on the wound happened because of his strong grip. She also injected a pain killer."Take rest Harika! Hereafter never think to explore his case. It's his fate and he is experiencing that. So you please don't try to help him putting yourself in a critical situation" Varsha adviced while giving medicine but nothing went into her head as her mind was occupied with those thoughts..."What happened Adhi? You're looking so dull nowadays" Adhi's friend enquired gazing his sad face."I'm worried and at the same time I'm afraid to loose her" Adhi replied merely making him confused."What are you talking about?" He asked. "I'm talking about Harika! You know right! She is my lifeline but now I'm fearing that she will not be mine" he muttered sadly."Why? What happened?" His friend questioned and Adhi said about Harika's friendship with Harish. "I couldn't see her moving close with Harish! I'm feeling unsecured nowadays!" He said what he thought."Don't worry Adhi! First confess your love to her and come for a conclusion after getting her reply" his friend advised him. Adhi thought he was right and decided to propose her once he saw her next time.I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle.
