Chapter 166 The Secret of Dragon’s Hill

Just then, Joey arrived and stumbled across the tense scene.

She did not expect the kidnappers to have guns on them, and she was even more stunned to find Caspian confronting the kidnappers as well.

However, her focus was on the critical situation. The kidnappers were already firing their weapons. Caspian and Carla were in danger!

At the most crucial moment, Caspian crouched to the ground and brought Carla down with

Macy’s arrogance had surprised her.

Even though Macy saved the young girl, she also killed three men.

In Joey’s eyes, what Macy did was also a crime.

“You’re under suspicion of illegally possessing a firearm, and you’ve also killed three men. You need to come with me to the Inspector General’s office for further investigation,” Joey said as she got ready to handcuff Macy.

Macy went forward and studied the traces carefully.

Joey followed her.

“What’s going on here? How strange!” Joey remarked after seeing the marks.

As she came from the investigative division, she had keener senses.

The two women checked the surrounding area, and soon, they found an underground passage behind a dense thicket.

“What’s this?” Joey exclaimed.

Caspian came over to take a look.

The passage went on without end.

“How unusual. Could there be some kind of underground tomb here? Did someone come over to rob it?” Macy suggested.

“What a load of nonsense. How can there be a tomb in a place like this? Since it’s a fairly large mountain, I guess there could be mines in there,” Joey said after scanning the surroundings.

“Whatever,” Macy said indifferently. As long as it did not pose a threat to Caspian, she did not

care what it was.

As Caspian’s wound had split open, he needed to get it treated as soon as possible.

Since the crisis was over, they left Dragon’s Hill.

That being said, if Macy had not insisted on dragging Caspian out of the hospital, his wound would have not split open.

Thus, while Avon tended to Caspian’s injury once more, Macy slunk back to the hotel in dejection.

Ever since Caspian ruined Nicholas‘ face, the latter spent his days wallowing in the Archer

residence.
