Lord Chapter 28
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 28 Die Knowing Why
âWe havenât confirmed the hotel yet. On the day of our wedding, you can go to the Stewart Residence
first. Iâll have the driver pick you all up in a limo and take you to the hotel.â
Caspian didnât mention the Jade Dragon Grand Hotel. If he did so, he would spoil the surprise.
âSounds good. We will go to the Stewart Residence on that day and wait for you to pick us up!â
âThe wedding is just a few days away. Iâm getting more and more excited.â
âSince Willow and I are so close, Iâll definitely attend her wedding.â
After exchanging pleasantries, Caspian drove away with Willow and Zoey.
âCaspian, are you sure about inviting my classmates to the wedding? Do you have the confidence to
make the wedding a success?â Willow asked.
âHoney, why would you still doubt me?â Caspian chuckled.
âItâs not that I donât trust you. Iâm just curious.â
Willow had her eyes opened today. Caspian was definitely not a good-for-nothing.
There was more to him than met the eye.
At this moment, Caspian felt like a stranger to her. She realized that she didnât really know who Caspian
was.
Zoey chimed in, âWillow, Iâm looking forward to your wedding now.â
Willow nodded absentmindedly and asked Caspian, âWhy are you so good at fighting?â
âIâve told you before. I served as a soldier in the military for a few years. Thatâs why I learned some skills
in martial arts.
âThis is normal. Seven or eight people canât do much against me,â Caspian said calmly.
âHow about Sylvia? Whatâs your relationship with her?â Willow continued.
âShe is the daughter of one of my chiefs in the military,â Caspian answered.
âWhy were the people accompanying her armed with guns?â Willow had more questions for Caspian.
She was determined to get to the truth.

âYou wouldnât know about that. Isnât it normal for the entourage of a chiefâs daughter to carry weapons?â Caspian said.
âI see that all of them treated you with utmost respect. Do you have some special identity?â Willow asked.
âI saved the chiefâs life. Besides, I have quite a high position,â Caspian replied.
âOh, what position do you have?â Willow pressed further.
Caspian was speechless. Willow seemed prepared to get to the bottom of this.
âItâs quite an important position. After all, I made significant contributions by saving the chiefâs life,â Caspian said.
He felt that if he was pressed with more questions, he wouldnât be able to come up with more stories.
âCould it be that you are the b*dyguard of the military chief?â Willow guessed.
âThat doesnât matter. You only need to know that Iâm your husband,â Caspian said sternly.
âIf you donât want to tell me, fine. Thereâs no need to be so secretive. I think youâre a b*dyguard, anyway,â Willow sulked.
âJonathan and Timothy wonât seek revenge on us in the future, right?â Zoey asked with a worried
expression.
âNo, donât worry. They will disappear from Southlake City soon,â Caspian reassured her.
In a private room of the Regal Hotel, Sylvia had her men beat up Timothy and Jonathan severely after
Caspian left with Willow and the others.
Both of them suffered greatly and could only beg for mercy on their knees.
Xenia and Mandy had sl*pped away in the confusion.
Sylvia ordered, âTake these two scoundrels away!â
Some of her men immediately escorted Timothy and Jonathan away.
âWhat are you going to do to us?â Timothy was filled with anxiety.
âShut up and move!â Sylvia said.
âI didnât do anything! Why are you arresting me?â Jonathan feared for his life.
âYou offended someone high up!â Sylvia answered.

As Sylvia ordered for her men to take Timothy and Jonathan away, a group of officers from the police bureau arrived.
Other customers in the hotel heard sounds of a fight going on, so they made a call to the police bureau.
When they received a report of a brawl, some officers were dispatched to the scene.
Upon entering the private room, the officers were greeted by a gruesome scene.
There were fresh bloodstains on the floor.
Sylviaâs men were escorting Timothy and Jonathan out of the room.
As Sylviaâs subordinates were dressed in plain clothes, the officers had no idea of their identities. They assumed that they were all involved in the brawl.
Without wasting any time, the officers drew their weapons on Sylvia and her subordinates.
Similarly, Sylviaâs men pointed their guns at the officers. The atmosphere was fraught with tension.
The police officers were caught by surprise. Who were these men carrying weapons?
âThereâs no way to escape. Put down your guns and we will be lenient on you. If you resist, we will shoot to kill!â The leader of the police officers spoke up.
âEveryone, donât act rashly. Itâs just a misunderstanding. Look at this.â Sylvia had anticipated a scenario like this and prepared accordingly.
âLook at what? Reveal it right now, donât dawdle!â the team leader ordered.
Sylvia reached into her clothes and pulled out an identification card. She handed it to the team leader.
With one glance at the card, his face turned pale and he started trembling inexplicably.
âHold⦠Hold your fire. Put away your weapons,â the team leader stammered.
The officers of the police bureau were stunned.

Why was their team leader so terrified just by looking at the identification card? Who was this seductive
woman in front of them and what was her background?
They didnât dare to ask any questions and followed orders, putting away their weapons.
The glimmer of hope in Timothyâs and Jonathanâs eyes disappeared. They were in despair.
Sylviaâs background was definitely extraordinary. Otherwise, why would the team leader of the police

âThese two individuals are involved in murder and the illegal use of firearms. They should be handed over
to the police bureau.
âBut they are also suspects in an important case. I will take them away for further investigation,â Sylvia
said.
âOf course. Please, go ahead.â After the team leader learned of Sylviaâs status, he was at a loss for what
to do. He didnât dare to go against Sylvia.
Sylvia waved her hand. Her subordinates escorted Timothy and Jonathan out of the room.
âPlease save us! Why is the police bureau turning a blind eye to us?â Jonathan wailed incessantly.
At this moment, he realized that something was amiss.
These men were much more terrifying than the officers at the police bureau. He would rather go to jail
than be taken away by them.
However, the team leader of the police bureau knew of Sylviaâs identity. He didnât dare to say anything
more.
âTake the others away!â The team leader gestured to his officers. They would deal with the other men
lying on the ground.
Timothy and Jonathan were brought to a desolate area dozens of miles away from Southlake City.
Seeing that the area was deserted, Timothy asked nervously, âWhat are you planning to do with us?â
He sensed that things werenât going to turn out well for him.
âYou will be sentenced to death for daring to point your gun at Lord Caspian!â Sylvia spo
âLord Caspian? Who is he?â Timothy was dumbfounded.
Jonathan was even more startled.
calmly.
âSince both of you are going to die, it would be better to die knowing why. The man you offended just now is Lord Caspian, ruler of Diatoran!â Sylvia explained.
Timothy and Jonathan were in utter shock. The man whom they thought was a loser was actually the famous Lord Caspian himself!
âYou were even planning to harm Lady Willow. You really donât know your place! Prepare to die!â
Sylvia didnât want to waste her breath. She gestured to her subordinates.
