Chapter 28 Die Knowing Why

“We haven’t confirmed the hotel yet. On the day of our wedding, you can go to the Stewart Residence

first. I’ll have the driver pick you all up in a limo and take you to the hotel.”

Caspian didn’t mention the Jade Dragon Grand Hotel. If he did so, he would spoil the surprise.

“Sounds good. We will go to the Stewart Residence on that day and wait for you to pick us up!”

“The wedding is just a few days away. I’m getting more and more excited.”

“Caspian, are you sure about inviting my classmates to the wedding? Do you have the confidence to

Willow had her eyes opened today. Caspian was definitely not a good-for-nothing.

There was more to him than met the eye.

was.

Zoey chimed in, “Willow, I’m looking forward to your wedding now.”

in martial arts.

“This is normal. Seven or eight people can’t do much against me,” Caspian said calmly.

“How about Sylvia? What’s your relationship with her?” Willow continued.

“She is the daughter of one of my chiefs in the military,” Caspian answered.

“Why were the people accompanying her armed with guns?” Willow had more questions for Caspian.

She was determined to get to the truth.

Caspian was speechless. Willow seemed prepared to get to the bottom of this.

“It’s quite an important position. After all, I made significant contributions by saving the chief’s life,” Caspian said.

He felt that if he was pressed with more questions, he wouldn’t be able to come up with more stories.

“Could it be that you are the b*dyguard of the military chief?” Willow guessed.

“That doesn’t matter. You only need to know that I’m your husband,” Caspian said sternly.

“Jonathan and Timothy won’t seek revenge on us in the future, right?” Zoey asked with a worried

expression.

“No, don’t worry. They will disappear from Southlake City soon,” Caspian reassured her.

In a private room of the Regal Hotel, Sylvia had her men beat up Timothy and Jonathan severely after

Caspian left with Willow and the others.

Both of them suffered greatly and could only beg for mercy on their knees.

Xenia and Mandy had sl*pped away in the confusion.

Sylvia ordered, “Take these two scoundrels away!”

Some of her men immediately escorted Timothy and Jonathan away.

“What are you going to do to us?” Timothy was filled with anxiety.

“Shut up and move!” Sylvia said.

“I didn’t do anything! Why are you arresting me?” Jonathan feared for his life.

“You offended someone high up!” Sylvia answered.

As Sylvia ordered for her men to take Timothy and Jonathan away, a group of officers from the police bureau arrived.

Other customers in the hotel heard sounds of a fight going on, so they made a call to the police bureau.

When they received a report of a brawl, some officers were dispatched to the scene.

Upon entering the private room, the officers were greeted by a gruesome scene.

There were fresh bloodstains on the floor.

Sylvia’s men were escorting Timothy and Jonathan out of the room.

As Sylvia’s subordinates were dressed in plain clothes, the officers had no idea of their identities. They assumed that they were all involved in the brawl.

Without wasting any time, the officers drew their weapons on Sylvia and her subordinates.

Similarly, Sylvia’s men pointed their guns at the officers. The atmosphere was fraught with tension.

The police officers were caught by surprise. Who were these men carrying weapons?

“There’s no way to escape. Put down your guns and we will be lenient on you. If you resist, we will shoot to kill!” The leader of the police officers spoke up.

“Everyone, don’t act rashly. It’s just a misunderstanding. Look at this.” Sylvia had anticipated a scenario like this and prepared accordingly.

“Look at what? Reveal it right now, don’t dawdle!” the team leader ordered.

Sylvia reached into her clothes and pulled out an identification card. She handed it to the team leader.

With one glance at the card, his face turned pale and he started trembling inexplicably.

“Hold… Hold your fire. Put away your weapons,” the team leader stammered.

The officers of the police bureau were stunned.

Why was their team leader so terrified just by looking at the identification card? Who was this seductive

woman in front of them and what was her background?

They didn’t dare to ask any questions and followed orders, putting away their weapons.

The glimmer of hope in Timothy’s and Jonathan’s eyes disappeared. They were in despair.

lying on the ground.

Timothy and Jonathan were brought to a desolate area dozens of miles away from Southlake City.
