Lord Chapter 760
The Almighty Lord Caspian
Chapter 760 One Man Army
Aria coldly asked, âDid you accept the bribe from Skyarch Palace? Are you plotting against Lord Caspian?â
Tom was utterly dumbfounded by Ariaâs strange question.
Tom explained, âLord Caspian saved my life once. Why would I ever plot against him? Besides, I have a blood feud with Skyarch Palace in the first place. Why would I ever accept their bribe? I want nothing but to take revenge on them!â âThen, show me what it is youâre holding! Or else youâre not convincing anyone!â Aria had been trying to press on with her questions to shift Tomâs attention.
Tom shook his head and refused to let anyone know about Mirandaâs kidnapping. âAbsolutely not.â
Aria asked, âDo you want to die?â
She harbored some feelings for Tom, but if he were to pose a threat to Caspian, then she wouldnât hesitate to pacify the threat.
Tom explained, âI promise you I donât mean Caspian any harm.â
âThen, put your hands in the air! Or Iâm going to shoot!â
Tom realized he had no other choice but to do as she said.
He opened his hand, and a piece of paper dropped to the ground.
Tom immediately stepped on the letter to hide it, but Aria had already seen everything.
Aria threatened, âLift up your leg!â
She was convinced that something was off with Tom now.
He wouldnât need to be so anxious if he wasnât doing anything wrong.
Tom explained, âYou canât see it.â
Aria asked, âCould it be proof that youâre working with our enemy?â
âItâs not. Please believe me.â
Aria wasnât in the mood to talk. She simply kicked Tom away and picked up the letter.
Tom staggered for a few steps before regaining his balance. He never expected
Aria to actually kick him.
Aria was shocked after reading through the letter. âWhat? Miranda got kidnapped?â
Tom helplessly nodded his head. âThatâs right.â
âThen, why didnât you just tell me? Are you going to save her by yourself?â
âIâm still thinking about what to do next.â
âWhy donât we tell Caspian about this? Iâm sure he can help.â
Tom replied, âAbsolutely not! Didnât you read what the letter said? Iâm not supposed to tell anyone about it or ask anyone for help, or Miranda will be in danger! Just forget what happened here and leave Miranda to me.â
Aria explained, âYouâre just walking straight into their trap! They wonât just let you and Miranda go after you hand them the scroll!
âIâll do anything if itâs to save Miranda.â
Tom was extremely worried about Mirandaâs safety.
âIâll come with you. Two is better than one anyway.â
Aria was jealous of Miranda for having such a selfless friend like Tom.
âAbsolutely not! They only want me to show up. Please just forget everything. youâve seen here. Iâll be able to handle it myself. I donât want Miranda getting hurt because of you.â
Aria pretended to be convinced. âAlright, then. Be careful.â
She decided to follow after Tom once he left the house.
Aria could always just go to Lunar Lake by herself anyway.
Tom replied, âI hope you will keep this a secret for my sake.â
Aria nodded and replied, âOf course. I think you can make a copy of the Black Moon Technique Scroll and hand it to them. Itâs not like they can tell if itâs genuine or not. Just make sure that you get Miranda out in one piece!â
âItâs not as easy as you think. They arenât so stupid as to be fooled by a fake scroll. The consequences would be disastrous.â
Ariaâs idea was way too simple.
She waited for Tom to leave the house as she began her own action plan.
Aria wanted to follow after him, but she realized that Miranda might be killed if

any of the Skyarch Palace men noticed her presence. She decided to stay in the house.
Around the time for dinner, Caspian and Willow came to the living room.
Willow asked, âWhereâs Tom and Miranda? Itâs about time for dinner.â
Aria explained, âTheyâve left.â
âWhy didnât they tell us anything? Where did they go anyway?â
Aria quickly came up with an excuse, saying, âI guess they went on a date. They did mention that they wonât be back for dinner.
Caspianâs expression soured. âWhatâs their problem? The Skyarch Palace men are everywhere, and theyâre going out for a date?â
Aria explained, âMiranda said she was bored being locked inside the house, so Tom decided to bring her outside.â
âThen, why didnât you stop them from leaving?â
âIsnât Tom really powerful or something? I thought the two would be fine as long as they stay together.â
Caspian ordered, âItâs not safe out there. Give them a call and tell them to come home right away.â
He realized that Tom might stumble into danger outside when the Skyarch Palace men were tasked with killing him.
Willow pulled out her phone. âYeah, Iâll give them a call.â
However, Mirandaâs phone could not be reached.
Willow then called Tom instead, only to find that he had already shut off his phone.
Willow was puzzled. âWhatâs going on?â
Caspian felt that something was wrong. âAre they in trouble?â
Aria replied, âItâs not dark outside yet, so I guess probably not. Besides, the streets sound relatively peaceful.â
Caspian was genuinely worried about the missing duo. âDid they say where they were going? Iâll go and look for them.â
In the past, Caspian probably wouldnât have even bothered to worry about Tom and Miranda.
Aria stood up and explained, âLord Caspian, itâs dangerous out there with Skyarch Palace men coming after you. Iâll go and look for them instead.â
She wanted to excuse herself from the house and assist Tom.
Caspian nodded his head. âAlright, fine. But be careful out there. Call me if anything happens.â
âOf course. Iâll be going ahead, then. Enjoy your meal, you two,â Aria replied and left.
The Skyarch Palace men retreated from the premises after they confirmed that Tom had left Riverside Villa.
Tom tried to reach Lunar Lake by taxi. But none of the taxis dared to stop and pick up a customer wielding a large weapon in his hand.
It was a scary sight to see a man holding onto a weapon out in the streets.
Luckily, Tom knew of a shortcut toward Lunar Lake.
He carried his weapon with him, and he ran all the way to Lunar Lake.
