Chapter 41
I Quit Being The Male Lead’s Rival
Chapter 41
The Circumstances of a Trivial Villain (3)
âThe slave black market owner here is Reidâs best friend. He must have been hiding here.â
âOh, I see! So can we just sneak in and find Reid?â
Aaron frowned and asked.
He didnât even ask how I knew this place.
I must have been on good terms with Reid from the outside, so he seemed to think that I was a similar human being.
âSo what are your plans to find that person?â
âFor now, we have to pretend we came to buy a slave. Anyways, here we have to wear masks to keep each otherâs identity a secret, so we wonât have any problems entering.â
âItâs really amazing that I can do something illegal as soon as I find my sister.â
Aaron replied excitedly.
âIf I hadnât grown up in the Duke of Wades, I wouldâve quickly become evil because I wouldâve had more fun⦠No, I cannot be tainted by my sister.â
âThatâs a good thing.â
I sighed once and continued.
âAnyways, weâre going to get the owner of this place. And if he doesnât tell me where Reid is, Iâll have to kill him.â
âItâs just plain kidnapping and intimidation. All right.â
Aaron hesitated and added.
âBut this is a scene of obvious illegality, so shouldnât we be accused of it? As a member of the honorable knights of Wades, I feel a sense of responsibilityâ¦â
âI will file a complaint tomorrow.â
I said clearly.
After all, Ian, Robert, and Cessianne were going to destroy them all tonight.
It was enough for us to act independently.
Well, maybe we would run into each other, but I didnât know.
âThen where do you get the mask?â
âThis is a general store. Buy it here.â
âUh⦠Itâs pretty lame, isnât it?â
âItâs not like weâre overturning this place⦠Itâll be enough to deal with one person quietly, so itâs okay to be a little relaxed.â
So, Aaron and I bought masks at the general store.
Of course I had no money.
I poked Aaron in his side at the checkout counter, and he took out his wallet and paid.
After putting on our masks, we found the secret door behind the general store building and knocked on it.
âWho showed?â
With a blunt voice, an old woman wrapped around a twisted apron opened the door.
I said the code quickly, as in the original text.
âBlue!â
âCome on in.â
The old woman suddenly straightened her back and politely put her hands together.
Aaron whispered as he entered the secret passage.
âIsnât the password simpler than I thought?â
âItâs not that simple⦠The color of that old womanâs apron changes from time to time. It means itâs not a place you can just easily sneak in.â
âOh oh.â
Aaron could not hide his admiration and continued.
âItâs the first time Iâve been to such a bad place, so Iâm a little excited. It was amazing to have a hidden gangster sister.â
It was an admiration that was difficult to answer.
âI guess I mean, it feels like the horizon of my life is broadening?â
In fact, it was my first time coming here too, but I didnât think anyone would believe it even if I tried to make excuses since I knew the password.
It almost feels like I was the original and not the reincarnation.
âThis password⦠Robert was able to find out only after a long search.â
Today, the male lead, Ian, and the female lead, Cessianne, meet for the first time.
Cessianne, who had just become an apprentice saint, received a message secretly sent to her temple by Robertâs men a few days ago.
[Iâm trying to stop black magic, but it may take some divine power. Weâre recruiting people with good faith who want to be helpful.]
Of course, Robert never revealed his identity so as not to get caught by anyone else.
She was the only person in the temple whom Robertâs men contacted, because she had good faith and she was also naive since she had just become an apprentice.
Without revealing who he was or who was behind him, his attendant told Cessianne where to head to and how to get in.
With the purpose of, âgo and help those in need.â
Objectively, Cessianne made a rather reckless choice because she was obsessed with the phrase âhelp those in needâ.
It wasnât a loss at all for Robert, but it was something that had to be done.
Besides, he had been suspicious of the temple for a long time, so he thought it would be better if someone from Prince Carlonâs side could catch it, and then he proceeded with the plan.
As soon as Ian and Robert entered the slave market, they couldnât contain their anger and were in danger of being caught.
Ian was then hurt from black magic while fighting.
Then, miraculously, Cessianne appeared and rescued him.
She saw Ian being injured by black magic and immediately reasoned that he was a âgood person who tried to stop black magicâ.
So Ian, Robert, and Cessianne entered the slave auction house.
Slave auctions took place in several different secret chambers.
Originally, Ian and Robert planned to separate.
Cessianne decided that there might be a need for further treatment of Ian, so she entered the auction room with Ian.
They ended up upsetting the slave auction house, and failed to arrest Morriett.
However, while they were together at an auction, the two became close and fell in love.
âWhatever the original is, I donât care. All I have to do is find and kill Morriett.â
He was Reidâs best friend.
So I started walking down the secret passage with Aaron.
It had been a long time since I met him, but it was true that I was not yet familiar with the younger brother who was discovered to be related to me today.
I was awkward, so I started pouring out questions that would be asked by relatives I hadnât seen in a while on a Korean holiday.
âUh, um. How is your job?â
âSince I have already reached the rank of lieutenant in the Knights of Wades, my goal is to hold on till my retirement age without being swept away like a fallen leaf in the rain.â
âWhat about your parentsâ business?â
âIt doesnât suit me at all. My parentsâ job is my parentsâ job, and Iâm going to do my own thing.â
âDo you have a lover?â
âNo.â
âArenât you interested in that?â
âI am very interested. I just havenât found anyone yet.â
âWhat kind of woman do you like?â
âWellâ¦if you look at the Rainfield mansion⦠Everyone thinks like youâ¦â
âWhat do they think of me?â
âThey look at you and think of Rainfieldâs money? I wish it wasnât like that.â
âIt is reasonable. But in the first place, people of the same kind recognize each other, donât they?â
I said coldly, hoping that Aaron would never meet a woman like me.
âIf there is a girl you like, tell me. Or Iâll just find out.â
It was then we walked quite a bit through a secret passage that led in one direction while having a small conversation between siblings.
A luxurious entrance stood out, like a door to another world.
âWelcome.â
A tall man in a mask greeted us politely in front of the splendid entrance.
It was just the beginning.
âPlease give me the entrance fee for todayâs auction first. Itâs 5 gold per person.â
And it cost money from the beginning.
âI didnât know there was something like that, oh my.â
Of course, I couldnât help but not know because it was my first time coming too.
I shamelessly nudged Aaron on the side once again.
âUh⦠Ummâ¦â
Aaron rummaged through his wallet and whispered awkwardly.
âI donât have up to 10 golds. Why is the entrance fee so high?â
The story of the entrance fee did not appear in the original.
I didnât think I would need cash either because I didnât intend to buy a slave.
I whispered because I was also embarrassed.
âHow come the Rainfieldâs son donât even have 10 gold?â
âWho carries so much cash?â
Seeing that there was no such content in the original, Robert or Ian seemed to have carried it around with them.
Aaron rolled his eyes and muttered.
âHey, do you want to spread rumors of slaves in the Rainfields? Is there anything you can do to not ruin the house?â
âThen at least you wonât have to worry about inheritance rights. I guess itâs true that if you lose one, you get one.â
I admired his patience once again.
I couldnât believe Ian had this kind of person as his deputy.
Of course, I wasnât the only one clicking my tongue.
âYouâve come all the way here, but you donât have the admission feeâ¦â
The manager, who asked for the admission fee in front of us, spoke slowly.
âI donât think youâre an ordinary customer.â
He slowly raised his hand.
Finding a dark energy in his palm, I quickly prepared for battle and told Aaron.
âAaron, thatâs black magic.â
âOh, myâ¦! My life horizons are getting too broad just because I found you. Iâve never seen black magic before.â
Actually, it was my first time seeing it too.
