Chapter 174: The First Appearance of the Male God



Shen Jintai kept remembering that they slept without clothes, so much so, that he woke up early the next morning. His arms moved forward but he didn’t feel Yan Qiuchi’s solid chest. His pajamas were neatly folded and placed on Yan Qiuchi’s pillow.



The curtains were drawn with a little light peaking through. He first glanced at the camera in the bedroom and saw that the towel was still covering it. He sat up and look down at his body then got up and washed and got ready. He found that Yan Qiuchi was already busy in the kitchen and a camera was already following him.



This was the first time he had seen Yan Qiuchi cook. He went over to him and asked: “Are you… cooking?”



Yan Qiuchi glanced back at him: “Go wash up and we’ll have breakfast together.”



Yan Qiuchi was making a Western-style breakfast. It was relatively simple but exquisite nonetheless. The table was set up for six.



“You can cook.” Shen Jintai said with some surprise. This was truly an eye-opener. Not only was Yan Qiuchi quite capable in bed, he was also quite capable in the kitchen as well. Shen Jintai washed up and got dressed before coming back out but was pulled back into the bedroom as the program team wanted to interview him.



Shen Jintai sat on the bed and looked at the people in the program group.



“Do you want to film it after putting on makeup?” One person from the program team asked him.



“Isn’t your reality show about striving for authenticity?” Shen Jintai smiled and said: “I’m use to doing this and I rarely put on makeup. Is there a problem?”



The people in the program group flattered: “No problem at all. I feel that your beauty is quite natural.”



Shen Jintai smiled, then raised his eyebrows and glanced at the editorial director. The editorial director asked: “I was surprised to see Yan Qiuchi cooking just now. Did you know that he could cook?”



Shen Jintai smiled and said: “I really didn’t. Usually, we’re both relatively busy so we spend very little time together.”



“So this is the first time he’s cooking for you?”



Shen Jintai nodded, his ears were reddish, and his eyes were shy: “It’s not just only for me. Everyone else has a share.”



“Then have you cooked for him?”



Shen Jintai immediately smiled and said: “I can try but someone will have to dare to eat it.”



“Yan Qiuchi said that as long as you make it, he will dare to eat it.”



Shen Jintai sat up straight: “Do you want me to cook for him? I thought this was just an interview for me?” He found that although the program team claimed to have no script, they were actually very good at manipulating them from behind-the-scenes. Still, he can cooperate on such trivial matters like cooking.



The simple interview was over soon. When he came out of the bedroom, he saw Zheng Siqi and the others had already sat around the dining table. The cameramen were all standing against the walls all pointing cameras at them.



Everyone praised Yan Qiuchi for his breakfast. Yang Lizhi once again lamented Shen Jintai’s fortune. His luck really was unspeakable. Not to mention his flourishing career, he also found such an excellent man.



The breakfast between the six of them was exactly the same. Yan Qiuchi did not give Shen Jintai any preferential treatment. Even this point was important as he wasn’t unintentionally being ostentatious.



It’s easy for celebrities to overdo their performances on variety show as people can’t help but show off in front of the camera. Yan Qiuchi’s concern however were solely focus on Shen Jintai. Compared to the love that’s deliberately exposed to the camera, his texture handily wins.



Shen Jintai’s performance was also very good. He wasn’t coquettish nor did he put on airs to be pretend to be affectionate. He behaved naturally like himself, who’s lively and able to adjust to any atmosphere.



In contrast, the Wang Siyi and Tang Ye pair was too fake and overacting. They’ll most likely be scolded once the broadcast airs!



Compared to other traditional travel reality shows, the program group was unique. After touring the Seine River last night, they will leave Paris this morning.



“I finally came to Paris and really want to go to Notre-Dame Cathedral, Versailles, the Louvre and Fontainebleau.” Wang Siyi said.



“There’s so many travel programs that have been to these, so the program team thinks it’s nothing new, right?” Tang Ye said: “There are too many tourists’ attractions in France, so Paris is just our transit station.”



And they were a couples variety show in additional to being a traveling show. If all they do is just go around seeing different tourist spots, the process will eventually become boring, and they can’t make any big splashes to become hot. There were six people total and four of them were single men and women. The only true couple was Shen Jintai and Yan Qiuchi, but it was impossible for them to act coquettish and cutesy like a straight couple.



The program team still need to pick some tourism projects that can create ambiguity and romance to promote sparks between the couples. For example, the next stop that they are going to.



“First, please choose one of you to draw lots to decide where you will go next.” Director Guo Weimin held two envelopes: “One is to go to Val d’Isere, a famous French ski resort, and the other is Evian, a famous French hot spring town.”



“Evian, is it the Evian endorsed by Siqi?” Shen Jintai asked immediately.



The director said: “Yes, as we all know, France has many world-famous hot spring resources. Evian hot springs is a resort town located in Evian of the northern Haute-Savoie province in France. It’s also the birthplace of the Evian water. It’s close to the snow-capped alps and it’s also the only place in the world where you can taste Evian water for free.”



“Do you know that Vichy, Avène and La Roche-Posay* were all named after French hot springs resorts?” Tang Ye saw his opportunity and interrupted.



*These are all skincare brands under the parent company L’Oréal.



Wang Siyi also chimed in: “How do you know?!”



Yang Lizhi couldn’t help but lowered his head and rolled his eyes.



“Then Siqi must draw this.” Shen Jintai said with a smile.



Zheng Siqi was not polite. He was stepped up to draw the lot. Shen Jintai looked behind and saw Guo Weimin shaking the enveloped in his hand smilingly. The implication was obvious. The program team had already decided where they would go.



Zheng Siqi was notoriously good-tempered, so he cooperated with them by putting on act of thinking hard about it. Shen Jintai heckled: “Choose the right hand, the right hand!”



Zheng Siqi smiled and selected the envelope in the director’s left hand. He opened it, glance at it, then smile. He showed the contents to the camera first before showing it to everyone else.



Wang Siyi applauded: “It’s the hot springs! Way to go!”



Shen Jintai glanced at Yan Qiuchi beside him with a smile and stretched out his hand to rub the milk stains on the corner of his mouth as Yan Qiuchi handed him a napkin. Soaking in the hot springs was definitely more suitable to build an ambiguous atmosphere than skiing and the program need such a thing in order to film a lot of materials.



“I think everyone brought a lot of things when they came,” Guo Weimin said suddenly.



“Tang Ye even brought hot pot and mahjong!” Wang Siyi said.



Yang Lizhi who’s been haughty all this time wanted to laugh when she heard this.



“I thought that if we have nothing to do in our spare time, we can have some hot pot and promote Chinese culture!” Tang Ye said.



“Since we’re going to Evian, the journey is relatively long so we can’t bring all our luggage. Next, we’ll give everyone six minutes to choose…”



“What?!” Yang Lizhi frowned.



Guo Weimin smiled and said: “After listening to me, I will give you ten minutes to bring the luggage you need. The rest will be left to the program team who’ll check them in to your next residence in Italy. Note that each person can only bring one suitcase.”



“How can one suitcase be enough!” Yang Lizhi said anxiously.



“The countdown begins now.” Guo Weimin pressed the stopwatch ignoring Yang Lizhi’s comments.



Everyone immediately dispersed and returned to their rooms. Shen Jintai and Yan Qiuchi hurriedly entered the bedroom and began cleaning up.



“How can a single suitcase fit two people’s thing.” Shen Jintai said.



“It’s one luggage per person.” Yan Qiuchi said.



“Oh, oh, oh. Then I will take care of mine, and you will take care of yours.”



“You can rest. I’ll sort out your things. You won’t be able to do it.” Yan Qiuchi said. He carried all the suitcases in one hand and arranged them into a row as he opened them. With four suitcase aligned next to each other, each being more organized than the other, it was comparable to watching a scene from a secret agent in the movies.



This shows the benefits of being male and that their lovers. Everything was neatly organized and there were no miscellaneous things like jewelry and the likes that female stars often have. Underwear, shirts, pants, and shoes were all clearly organized into their own section.



The people in the program group watch at the door in awe seeing such a scene. Yan Qiuchi spoke so little and was very icy, but his personal characteristics was too clear. When the show is broadcast, he’ll definitely attract fans.



Shen Jintai pointed and said: “This, this, this, this.” Whatever he pointed to, Yan Qiuchi would pack.



“Just take your underwear. It’s all the same anyways.”



“But the model is different.” Yan Qiuchi said.



Shen Jintai was taken aback for a moment, and his face flushed slightly as he suddenly remember Yan Qiuchi’s big package.



“Anyways, I can still wear it,” Shen Jintai suddenly remembered his skin care products in the bathroom so he hurriedly ran to the bathroom to get them. When he arrived in the living room, he heard Yang Lizhi’s scream from next door, apparently tossing out her queenly demeanor: “It won’t fit. It won’t fit!”



Women loves beauty so they had too many clothes and shoes that they were forced to make some tradeoffs and couldn’t take every single thing. Zheng Siqi was beside her anxious and embarrassed watching the scene unfold.



As the countdown neared, Wang Siyi yelled even louder than Yang Lizhi: “Director, wait a minute, wait a minute. Ahhhhhhh!”



Director Guo Weimin was counting down as Shen Jintai pointed to the two packed suitcases, then pointed to Yan Qiuchi and shrugged at the camera.



“No way, someone is too capable.”



It was a naked, bare, undulated show of affection.



After packing their luggage, they first flew to Geneva, and then drove from there to the small town of Evian. From here, the crew started to create conditions for them to be alone as the six people were divided into three cars.



Yan Qiuchi drove to take the lead and Shen Jintai sat in the passenger seat to guide him. When they were halfway there, he suddenly received a call from the director’s team saying that in Evian, they would not arrange cameras in their rooms.



After hanging up, Shen Jintai’s ears turned red, and he asked puzzledly: “What do they mean?”



What they didn’t know was this matter was a result of discussion between the director’s team this morning. They believed that between lovers, if they don’t have the chance for some private intimacy, their state would be drastically different than a normal couple. The crew was compromised of married men and women so this was the summary from their experience.



Whether a TV series can catch fire will depend on the first week and the first episode. They have to put good material at the beginning and thus this trip to the hot springs was aimed at using Shen Jintai’s well-known good figure. Moreover, from what they visually observed about Yan Qiuchi, he definitely had a figure that was muscular and healthy, suitable for a male god.
