Chapter 526 - Let’s Go, Burning Legion!
A Stay-at-home Dad’s Restaurant In An Alternate World
âBoss Mag!â The door opened, and Mondâs bleary eyes immediately snapped alert at the sight of Mag. He abruptly turned, and yelled into the yard, âBoss, Boss Mag is here!â
âD-demon!â Anna took a couple of steps backward in fear and almost fell over.
âDonât be scared, Big Sister Anna. Bald Head No. 2 isnât a baddie.â Amy hurriedly supported Anna and offered words of comfort.
âHow could you be so careless, Mond! Youâre scaring the kids! Is that something that we lava demons should be doing?â Sargeras emerged with a stern expression. However, that was soon replaced by a smile as he turned to Mag, and said, âHello, Boss Mag and Amy, why have you come here this late in the night?â
He then turned to Anna with a bashful smile, revealing rows of pristine and even teeth as he said, âHello, little girl. Mond isnât a bad guy. Heâs not too handsome, but you donât have to be scared of him.â
Kiel and the others also made their way to the entrance. All of them looked outside with curious expressions, but they refrained from approaching Magâs trio upon seeing Annaâs fearful expression.
However, the bald, burly, and intimidating Sargeras wasnât any more likable than Mond, so his words didnât soothe Angusâs fears. Instead, she sidled up even closer to Amy, and looked on with fear at Mag and Sargeras. The ones that had been hunting them down this entire time were demons, so why had Mag taken her to a den of demons? Was he trying to sell her?
âDonât be scared. They may be demons, but theyâre not bad people. There are good demons out there.â Mag offered gentle words of comfort to the fearful and wary Anna.
âNot bad people?â Anna looked into Magâs genuine eyes, then into Sargerasâ eyes. Her grandfather had once taught her how to identify whether someone was good or bad, and he had told her that oneâs eyes couldnât lie. She couldnât see any ill intent in Sargerasâ eyes, so he was indeed different from the demons that had tried to hunt them down.
âBig Bald Head isnât a baddie. He even helped us beat up baddies in the past. He may be very ugly, but heâs surprisingly a good person.â Amy nodded to support Magâs words. âEr, am I supposed to feel good about thatâ¦?â Sargerasâ expression was a little peculiar. In any case, he was already used to Amyâs unintentionally sharp tongue, so he turned to Mag as he asked, âDo you need us to do something for you, Boss Mag? Feel free to tell us if youâre experiencing any difficulties. Weâll definitely help you to the best of our abilities.â
Mond and the others all nodded in agreement. Their eyes were filled with benevolence and even a hint of fanaticism as they looked at Mag.
âI do indeed have something that I need your help with.â Mag nodded in response. He passed the lunchbox in his hand to Sargeras, and said, âWeâre trying to save some elves who have been captured by a demon hunting party. This is your reimbursement.â
âBoss Mag, thereâs no need for reimbursement when employing our services. Are you looking down on our Burning Legion? We canât accept thisâ¦â Sargeras shook his head and tried to reject Magâs lunchbox, but his words suddenly cut off as he caught a whiff of the contents inside. âIs that the scent of the holy roujiamo?â
âThatâs right, there are roujiamos inside.â Mag nodded with a smile.
âOh!â All of the lava demonsâ eyes immediately lit up upon hearing that, and they turned to stare at the lunchbox in unison.
âThatâs⦠Boss Mag, youâre far too kind. You didnât have to.â Even though that was what Sargeras was saying, he had already taken the lunchbox from Mag and was hugging it tightly to his chest. He then said solemnly, âBoss Mag, your enemy is the enemy of our Burning Legion!â âThatâs right! Weâll f*ck them up!â the lava demons chimed in.
âThen Iâll have to trouble you tonight.â Mag smiled and nodded.
âLetâs go, Burning Legion!â Sargeras yelled as he raised the lunchbox high above his head.
âFor the holy roujiamo!â All of the demons chanted in unison, waking up all of their neighbors in the process.
Mag wanted to bury his face in his palm. They clearly had a badass name, âBurning Legionâ, so why did they insist on chanting such an embarrassing slogan? These demons really were quite adorable in their own unique way.
âFor the holy roujiamo?â Anna was also looking at the lava demons with a surprised expression. She didnât know what Mag had just given them to prompt such a vehement reaction, but it appeared that he really did have no intention of selling her. Instead, he had managed to convince these demons to fight other demons with them; that was quite extraordinary to her.
âDonât you guys want to eat some before we go?â Mag tried his best to suppress his laughter as he turned to Sargeras.
âNo need. Weâll have some when we begin the initial charge. Roujiamos can significantly enhance our combat prowess, and itâs quite dark, so we can use the lava flames activated to light our way forward.â Sargeras shook his head with a bashful smile as he asked, âBoss Mag, where are those bastards right now? Weâll go kill them!â
âOnly Anna knows their location, so weâll be coming with you. Letâs set off right away.â Mag helped Amy and Anna back onto the bicycle, and looked back at Sargeras with a smile as he asked, âYouâll be able to keep up, right?â
âDonât worry about us, Boss Mag. Weâll slow down to match your pace,â Sargeras replied confidently.
âWeâll see about that.â Mag shook his head with a mysterious smile. He then began to pedal his bicycle, and it shot forth like an arrow.
âHoly f*ck! Whatâs Boss Mag riding?â Sargerasâ eyes widened as he tucked the lunchbox under his armpit. He then picked up the foldable chair beside him, and yelled, âLetâs go!â
It took Sargeras and the others quite a while to arrive after Mag had parked his bicycle at the northern city gates. They werenât extremely out of breath, but it clearly hadnât been a leisurely jog for them, either.
âBoss Mag, whatâs that thing that youâre riding? How could it be so fast?â Sargeras was staring at Mag in disbelief. He didnât think that Mag could beat them in a contest of speed.
âThis is a bicycle.â Mag smiled in response. His physical condition was better than even that of the most professional cyclists in his past life. When riding a top-grade professional bicycle like this one, his top speed could easily exceed 100 km/h, so he held a significant advantage when traveling over flat terrain. However, he wasnât going to waste time on such explanations. He got onto his bicycle again, and said, âLetâs keep going. If we get there too late, they might have left already.â
After making their way out of the city, the road began to become bumpier. Under Annaâs guidance, Mag quickly abandoned his bicycle and continued on foot. Soon, an abandoned village appeared up ahead.
âBoss Mag, is that the place?â Sargeras wore a very excited expression as he handed out roujiamos to his companions.
