Part 31: Talk at nightIt was 8 o'clock at night. Everyone was busy with their work. Riya was completing her homework when a notification came on her phone - Dhirav: "Sunny..."Riya immediately replied:Riya: "Tell me..."Dhirav: "I will tell you one thing...the truth."Riya: "Hmm. Tell me..."The typing was going on for a few seconds, then the message came:Dhirav: "I lied to you about one thing..."Riya: "Okay...but now you are telling me. What was it?"Dhirav stopped typing. Riya thought, maybe there is something serious. Just then she got a video call - Dhirav's.Riya picked up the call. Dhirav's face was a little tense. The light was dim, but there was something different in his eyes.  He remained silent for a few seconds, then said:Dhirav: “I thought you would get angry if I told you the truth…”Riya: “And now?”Dhirav: “Now I feel… you deserve to know the truth.”A small tear came out of his eyes. Riya’s heart trembled a little.Riya: “Hey you crazy monkey… what is this? Are you crying?”Dhirav: “No… just… it feels wrong.”Riya: “I am not angry. Actually… I am happy. You keep hiding from me, that feels worse.”Dhirav: “Sorry…”Riya: “Enough… don’t make such a sad face. I can’t see you.”Dhirav: “Bye…” (and cut the call)Riya kept looking at the screen. A strange silence had spread… but a connection had been formed – which only both of them could feel.
