Those are some weird ass pigeons
Blood Traitor//Derek Hale
"Is someone...?" Allison pointed at the seat in front of Scott
"No! No, no, no, no. No, it's all you-- all yours. Uh, it's totally vacant."
"Wow, real smooth, alpha." Snorted Luke and Scott covered his face with his hands. Their phones suddenly beeped with an incoming message.
""The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth, flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness." This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class. Phones off, everyone." The new teacher said and the class groaned.
"How the fuck did she get our numbers?" Whispered Luke to Stiles and the teen shrugged. They were each given a worksheet and began working. Luke stared at the text with way too many adjectives that had him scratching his head to remember the meanings of them. Scott had to leave early, so that source of entertainment was gone.
"Hey, Lydia." Stiles never disappoints. "What is that? Is that from the accident?" Luke turns to look and sees the bandage on her ankle.
"No... Prada bit me."
"Your dog?"
"No, my designer handbag." Luke covers his mouth as a snort flies past his lips before he can stop it. "Yes, my dog." Lydia says slowly.
"Has it ever bitten you before?"
"Mm-mm."
"Okay, what if it's, like, the same thing as the deer? You know, like, how animals start acting weird right before an earthquake or something?"
"Meaning what? There's gonna be an earthquake?"
"Or something. I just... maybe it means something's coming. Something bad."
"You're being paranoid, Stiles." Luke pipes in.
"It was a deer and a dog. What's that thing you say about threes? Once... twice..." Lydia trails off as she stares out of the window. Luke looks too and sees black shapes in the air. Birds. One of them hits the window and the class flinches. Then another. And another.
"Get down, everyone! Get down! Down! Get down!" The teacher yells and the students scramble under their desks. The window broke and the birds flew in. The students screamed as the animals hit the walls, ceiling and desks. Blood dropped down onto the floor in front of Luke and he drily swallowed.
-Time skip-
"This is... weird." Stiles said in a deadpan voice.
"That's the conclusion you've come up with?" Luke looked at him with an unimpressed look.
"Well, what do you think? You're the oldest one here. You had to experience this somewhere, no?"
"Never."
"Mr. Argent? You wouldn't have any insight into this, would you?" The two overheard the sheriff asking Chris Argent.
"Me?" Chris said, alarmed.
"Yeah, all this bizarre animal behavior, it's... You must have seen something like this before, right?"
"I'm not sure why I would, or why you would think I would..."
"I'm sorry. I-I could've sworn I overheard my son talking about how you were an experienced hunter..." Allison, Chris and Luke shot Stiles a look.
"Ah, right. Well, not anymore."
"Everyone is very smooth with their lies today." Hummed Luke and rubbed his nose. The smell was starting to get to him.
This is a three months worth of work. I hope you're proud of me because I sure as hell am not. That's right, I hate it and can't wait for it to end :D Anyway, if you enjoyed leave a vote or a comment and all that. Thanks for reading and for your patience.
