Afterword

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for reading my book! I’m sorry about the cliffhanger ending, but I couldn’t help myself. Not to worry, I’m in the process of writing book 2 and will be posting it in a couple of months. I’ll give you more details when I know for certain. In the meantime, if you find yourself missing this world, I have a prequel that takes place almost two years before the events of this book about Fay and Aspen. Winter: A time for love and revenge.

As of right now, book 2 is called: Midnight Revelations. I thought I’d share a little unedited snippet from the rough draft of book 2:

Sel’s gaze dipped to my bandaged neck as I opened the orange juice and took a large gulp. “I have a few potions I could use for you. They’ll be able to help you sleep,” Sel quickly said when I made a face at the thought of taking a potion.

“Absolutely not.”

Sel whirled around to face my dad, having not noticed he was there. Her eyes widened, and I cringed, expecting her to make an inappropriate comment like Fay. “What’s a hunter doing here?”

“That’s Rhea’s father,” Addie said, sharing a look with Sel.

Sel’s gaze bounced between my dad and me. “Then how the fuck did she not know about the supernatural world?”

“He and Cass shared the belief she should be kept away.”

“That’s fucked up,” Sel said, shaking her head. “Well, scratch the potion then. It won’t work on you anyway.”

I gave Sel a confused look. “What? Why?”

“Goddesses above,” Sel muttered under her breath. “Did nobody teach her anything?”

“We’re trying not to overwhelm her.”

Sel sighed rubbing her forehead. “Anyone with hunter blood has some natural resistance to some—not all—spells and magic. It’s what makes them equipped to hunt us down.”

“It’s how you had some resistance to Ezra’s lure, even before you…started getting intimate with Cass,” Addie added, pausing to glance at my dad before that last part.

This was not a conversation I wanted to have in front of him. Ever.
