His Rebel

Layla's POV

My body tensed up at his words.

He'll punish me if I tried to disobey him? Why did it sound so fucking kinky to me?

He freed me of his grip, and I stumbled forward due to it. I turned around shortly after I regained my balance and gazed at him. He had stepped back from me and his hands were now in his pockets.

Even after all he did, his black coat still hung over his broad shoulders completely unbothered. On the other hand, my hood which I had over my head, had already fallen off when he earlier spin me around and all.

"Practice what I taught you, you don't have much time. We're going on missions from next week." He told me blankly. His hairs were still styled back and only a few strands fell over his forehead.

"I-" I was about to say something before he cut me off and exited the room leaving me behind.

I wanted to fucking sleep but now, I'm stuck here practicing. Well, he took away my sleep a while back though.

---------------

After a few hours of practice, I had now showered and changed into a new pair of hoodies cause I was exhausted and just wanted to eat something and go to sleep.

I was hanging out with Mattheo and Luca in the living room now. We were eating hamburgers which they had ordered while I was showering.

I could barely now keep my eyes open. My hairs were open for them to air dry, they kept on hitting my face and I felt their coldness which somehow helped me to stay awake.

"You look fucking dead Layla," Mattheo announced from beside me and I ignored him, continuing chewing on my hamburger.

"She looks more like a zombie," Luca muttered from in front of me and I glanced at him blankly. "What kind of torture did you go through? The Lucifer sure isn't going easy on you even though you're the only girl here." Mattheo scoffed.

"Shut up, I'm not in the mood to entertain you right now," I mumbled, from in between chewing the hamburger.

"You sure aren't," Mattheo chuckled and I sighed heavily. My body is screaming at me to lay down and go to sleep but on the other hand, my stomach is cursing at me to feed it. It wins, so I'll have to eat before I go on a long deep slumber.

Mattheo left me alone, as he continued conversing with Luca. I don't know about what, I just pretty much zoned out from here before my phone ringed loudly. I didn't notice it before Mattheo nudged me to pick it up.

I put aside my almost finished hamburger and brushing the crumbs away from my hands and face I picked up my phone and saw who was calling me at 10:30 pm.

Suzie's name popped up in the caller ID, and my brow instantly furrowed. I squinted my eyes to see whether I'm seeing it correctly or it's just my sleep-deprived head messing with me.

Nonetheless, I picked it up and held it against my ear, "Hello?" It's been a while since I last talked to her. The last time I talked to her was when I was leaving for here.

There was silence on the other end before I heard the heavy breathing of someone. "Layla," I immediately recognized Suzie's voice. "Suzie, what's wrong why do you sound so breathless?" I asked her, rubbing my eyes as a yawn escaped.

"Help me, Layla," I almost instantly stopped yawning, sitting up straight. "What?" The word left my mouth, and I heard shifting on the other side with her heavy breaths.

"Help me please Layla," Suzie's voice was urgent. It seemed as if she was trying to hide from someone. I stood up, the sleep left my eyes almost instantly as soon as I heard her paranoid voice.

"Where are you right now?" I asked her, panicking myself now. My feet tapped against the floor and I waited for her answer.

"I don't know! I was out buying some stuff when I lost my way. And now few weird men are after me. Please save me from them, Layla." She told me and I pulled on my hair. Mattheo and Luca were now standing beside me, looking at me carefully. Mattheo raised his eyebrow at me and I shook my head, my eyebrows furrowed in anxiety.

"Look, listen to me, Suzie. What do you see around you? Any banner or something? Where were you shopping at?" I shot her with question and I heard her breathing told me she was searching for something.

"I was buying from where we usually did, and it's very dark here, I can't see anything." She told me and I remembered the place where I used to go with her. It was not that safe of a place so I used to go with her. It was always better than one going there alone. And I always had my dagger on me so if anyone tried to mess with us, I'll just scare them away with it.

But she went there alone and it's not a shock to me that someones after her now. That place is known for weird people roaming around there and hurting people, especially females.

"I'm coming to you Suzie, don't worry just stay hidden," I ordered her and I heard her sobs from the other end.

"I need you Layla, please save me."
