Layla's POV

I wanted to sleep.

But I dragged myself to go down in the main living room to tell Theo that I'm back.

Last night I slept beside Sinn after our little steamy time. And when I woke up he was already gone.

But he left me breakfast and a note;

'Don't miss me too much.'

I smiled when I read it and kept it in my pocket.

I'm keeping it with me.

I ate my breakfast while in peace. I didn't turn the TV on.

No, I didn't even put on Attack on Titan cause I'll make Sinn watch it with me.

After I was done with my breakfast, I washed the dishes and took a deep breath walking down the stairs.

I took slow steps so that no one notices that I'm walking down the other staircase.

The one that has their rooms.

My heart was in my throat the whole time I took every stair carefully and when I finally reached the last one I sighed closing my eyes.

"So this is what's been making him late for the past 2 days?" Yuri's voice filled my ear and I jumped back.

He had a big smirk plastered on his face as he looked at me arching his brow.

"Hey Yuri, I'm back." I waved at him and saw Leo behind him with a cheeky smile on his face.

He came to stand beside Yuri in front of me and I smiled nervously cause I was exposed.

"Well well, I see you two finally got together." Leonardo chirped and I bit my lower lip wishing to get past their teasing remarks.

"Fucking finally!" Theo's voice came from behind Leo, and I saw as he came to stand before me with Luca. Both of them smirked at me.

They're all having the time of their lives from doing this.

I held onto the railing of the staircase, preparing to turn back on my steps and run back up to Sinn's floor.

"Leave her alone." A deep voice emerged from behind all of them and my heart jumped recognizing it immediately.

All of them turned to face him making him visible to me. Cause they were all standing in front of me like a wall.

Sinn walked towards me, he was wearing his signature black turtleneck and his black oversized coat hung over his shoulder.

He had his usual hard expression on his face which was able to make Mattheo and Luca back away a bit, intimidated.

Yuri and Leo chuckled, smiling at him.

He stopped giving Mattheo and Luca a hard look. "Get back to work."

They immediately nodded their heads, frightened by him as they backed away. Mattheo stepped on Luca's feet which made him curse.

"Fuck, man!" Theo turned around only to hit his head with Luca's making him wince.

I looked at both of them trying not to laugh out loud. They're a bunch of fools.

I felt Sinn's hand grab mine making me look at him. He held it firmly climbing the stairs.

I heard Leo and Yuri laughing behind us watching Mattheo and Luca.

When we reached his floor, Sinn left my hand and wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me to his side.

He leaned down to my ear whispering, "Only I get to tease you."

I felt the throbbing in between my legs as his lips grazed my earlobe.

"I don't know how to feel about it," I said sarcastically and he arched his brow at me cause he knows exactly how I feel about it.

I felt turned on.

"Did you eat breakfast?" He asked me and I nodded my head. He glanced at the kitchen island and turned to me again.

"You didn't have to wash the dishes. I would've dealt with it." He told me, his brow slightly furrowed indicating that he was upset that I washed the dishes.

"It wasn't a big deal. Now tell me," I tried to change the topic and held his arm.

"When will you get back?" I asked him cause I know he has to get back to work.

"I am back." He answered and I stared at him in confusion for a second before he explained.

"I took care of work in the morning to spend time with you." His words made me almost jump in excitement as I grinned widely at him.

"Really?" I couldn't hide my excitement and I saw his lips curve upwards in a smile.

And for the first time, I saw Sinn Phoenix smile. And I saw his dimples as he did making my heart squeal.

"Come on, we have some anime to catch up on!" I dragged his hand taking him to his room.

"You'll make me watch anime in my spare time?" He asked and I turned on the TV putting on Attack on Titan. I gave him a look.

"What's wrong with that?" He went to sit on his large bed, removing his coat which hung on his shoulder.

"Nothing, whatever makes you happy." He said and I smiled as I turned the volume up and went to the bed.

He was leaning against the headboard but I was in the middle cause I wanted to have a clear look at the TV.

Levi made an appearance and I almost squealed. "Damn Levi, you get hotter every season."

I had my gaze fixed on the screen but I felt another pair fixed on me instead.

Sinn's strong arms wrapped around my waist and I was pulled in between him, my back feeling his hard chest.

The episode with Levi in it continued and so did Sinn's hands as they traveled under my shirt.

The coolness of his rings made contact with my bare skin making a shiver run down my spine.

His other hand pulled away my hair from my neck as he buried his face, kissing my collarbone.

I wasn't focusing on the anime. It only played in the background as Sinn sucked on the skin on my collarbone, leaving his mark.

His other hand turned my face to him as he joined our lips, kissing me passionately.

"Let's continue watching." He said, leaning his back on the headboard and pulling me to his chest like he just wasn't devouring me a moment ago.

But I couldn't focus on the screen anymore.

I leaned my back against his chest, feeling my body comfortable with his.

We spent our time catching up on anime.

And I didn't know when I fell asleep leaning against his chest.

But when I woke up in the morning, as usual, he was gone leaving me breakfast.

It was almost dark now and he still wasn't back. I guess yesterday's time off cost him a lot.

I was watching TV in his living room when my phone buzzed with a text.

I got excited thinking it might be Sinn but when I opened it my eyes widened.

It was my mother.

I read the name again to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, it was from her.

All this time I was away from home, I texted her multiple time and even tried calling her. But she never replied. I guess she was too scared of father.

I felt a burning sensation in my eyes as I read her text;

'I miss you, my princess. My heart aches to stay away from you. Meet me at our house today. You're father's out for work and won't be home for a few days.'

I reread her text and smiled reading it. After 3 years of being away from her and not being able to talk, I can finally see her again.

'Mom! How are you? I miss you so much. I'll come to see you.'

I texted her and she immediately replied.

'Can't wait to see you again, my princess.'

I smiled staring at the screen as I sighed heavily.

It was rare that my father stayed out of home for days. But when he did I used to get to be free and do as I wished without listening to his insults.

It was the best time I had when I lived with him.

And after 3 years finally, my father's leaving for a couple of days. I can see my mother again.
