Layla's POV

Sinn looked at me without blinking his eyes as if he were trying to register the news I dropped on him.

When he didn't utter a word and a sharp pain started coming once again I winced as he held me up and I took his body as support to stay upright cause these contractions are starting to get unbearable.

"We need to get to the car. Let me hold you." He said, and I didn't protest as I don't think I'll be able to walk without feeling like I'll pass out any moment.

He held me in his arms as he started striding towards his car, which was parked on the other side of the road.

I had walked a not so small distance from the restaurant we were having our dinner at. Sinn took long steps but in doing so he kept on making sure that I was doing alright, which I wasn't as the contractions were only a minute or two apart not giving me much time alone with my thoughts.

He unlocked the car and opened it fully with his leg, and sat me down, buckling my seatbelt securely. He pressed his palm on my forehead, and I noticed him wiping the sweat that had formed on my face because of the pain.

I saw worry briefly in his eyes before he walked away and came to sit in the drivers seat beside me.

He hit the gas and got us out of the driveway. I held onto the seat and the grab handle as the contractions came, making it hard for me to sit in place.

"I don't think I can take this any longer. Call Sienna."

I didn't have to tell him twice as he had already searched her number through the screen in his car even before I told him to do so.

I could hear the ringing as his phone was on bluetooth.

"Hello," Sienna picked up, and I saw Sinn's grip on the steering tighten.

"Layla's in labor. Where are you?" He went straight to the point which I love the most about him in times of emergency. If I weren't agonizing from this pain, I would've kissed him.

I heard her surprised reaction from the way she replied, "We just dropped the boy. I'm on my way. Did you guys reach the mansion?"

She asked, her voice still surprised by the news.

"No, but I'll be there in 2."

He ended the call and stepped on the engine.

I held onto the handle for dear life as this pain felt like it could kill me. It's even worse than being shot or stabbed.

I felt Sinn's arm in front of me as he kept me in place from falling face front in the car cause of the way he was speeding up.

He must've been stealing glances my way, I couldn't be sure as the pain was clouding my senses.

Before I could say a word, the car halted, and Sinn was out of the car next. He opened the car door and picked me up. Everything happened so abruptly for me to process, but I didn't say anything.

I just wanted this pain to go away.

He laid me down on a soft surface, and when I registered where I was, I noticed Sienna's room, where she kept all her medical stuff.

I groaned in pain as another strong contraction came up, making me grip the cover.

"How long will it take her?" I asked in between breaths. I was sweating all over.

Sinn cupped my cheek gently as he pulled away my hair, which stuck to my face.

"She should be here any moment." But just as he said that, his phone rang, and he picked it up.

He didn't say anything as the person on the other end spoke, but then Sinn's face changed into one of anger, and he muttered, "What? You're stuck? The fuck are you doing?"

I knew by his reaction that Sienna is not reaching here anytime soon. I laid my head on the soft mattress beneath me as I groaned in pain.

"Do anything walk your way out but I need you here right now."

I felt pressure in between my legs followed by a sharp pain which left me breathless.

"Sinn," I groaned his name as his attention fixed on me.

He came infront of me and held my hand putting aside his phone on the mattress.

I looked at him as I said, "I feel something down there."

Sinn looked at me with his eyes widened as he put the phone beside me on speaker.

"Sinn, I need you to listen to me carefully." It seems like Sienna heard what I said.

"I might not be able to make it on time so you'll have to deliver the baby." Sinn looked at the phone and then at me, and I could see the uncertainty in his eyes.

"You've studied about it Sinn, I know you can do it." Sienna tried to motivate him.

"Studying it and doing it in practice is different Sienna. What if I do it wrong and it cost me my life? I can't lose Layla."

Sinn looked at me as he said it and the pain was so excruciating that I would've listened to him if I could.

"Sinn," I said as I tried sitting up and Sinn helped me do so.

"This pain would kill me anyway please, do as she says." I mustered up the words and Sinn looked in my eyes as he finally gave up,

"Alright."

He went to wash his hands and when he was back he looked me in the eyes as he said, "I'll need to check how far your cervix is dialated."

He asked for my permission and I nodded my head not able to muster the energy to say a yes.

He removed my trousers and underwear leaving me in only my oversized shirt which reached my thigh.

He checked my cervix and I saw him furrowing his brows.

"She's dialated to a 10." He said to Sienna from the phone and I heard her mutter a fuck under her breath from the phone.

The contractions started coming on full force not giving me a chance to even breathe, as my body started shaking.

"I can't stand this." I got off from the mattress as my feet hit the cold floor. Sinn held me from tripping

I felt an urge to push as I stood and I groaned as I felt pressure in my lower region making my whole body shake and my legs giving up.

Sinn held me as I pushed and he crouched down to check. He looked at me with a shocked look.

"I can feel its head. You're almost there Layla."

I nodded as I pushed when my body gave me the sign to do so. I grabbed Sinn's shoulder as hard as I could when the contractions became unbearable for me.

I screamed as tears left my eyes. I miss my mom.

"I can't do this. I feel like I'm going to die."

I didn't know when I started to sob but I felt Sinn's arm wrap around my waist as I looked down at his crouched form as I stood infront of him.

Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at me so intently that I would've hugged him if I could but I felt the urge to push.

Sinn kept on checking the baby and I pushed for another 10 minutes which felt like 10 hours to me but still it would not come out.

I felt like passing out when Sinn took hold of me standing up and hugged me. Tears left my eyes as my whole body trembled.

"I can't do this." I sobbed, the pain was unbearable, it was nothing I have ever experienced.

My mother must've felt this excruciating pain when she birthed me. I have Sinn by my side, who's willing to support me during this unbearable time. My mother had no one of the sort cause my father would certainly not accompany her, and even if he did, I don't think he was of much help or support to her.

Sinn hugged me as I sobbed and rubbed my back gently. "I wish I could do something to take this pain away from you."

I felt an insurmountable pressure in my lower body when I pulled away from him and my body pushed.

I screamed as I couldn't stop pushing and my legs gave up as I kneeled. Blood pooled out from me as I felt something strange and wet touching between my thighs.

I reached out and felt what was the head of my baby. I held it and pushed with all my might when I felt it coming out. I looked down as I pushed one last time with everything I had in me as I screamed feeling my body openeing when it finally came out of me and into my arms.

I looked down and saw the little being covered in my blood trying to cry but it couldn't. I looked over at Sinn who looked at me, and the baby I now held in my hands in astonishment.

When it registered to him that the baby couldn't cry, he took it out of my hands gently as I saw the umbilical cord still attached it to me.

Sinn tapped it's back thrice before loud wailing was heard in the room when I finally took a breath of relief letting my body go.

Sinn caught me before I would hit the ground. He came near me as he carefully settled me in his arms and gave me the crying baby still covered in blood.

"It's a girl." He said with a smile on his face and tears streaming down his eyes as I looked at her in awe. Just moments ago she was inside me and now in my arms.

I grazed her cheeks covered in my blood as I pulled her to me taking her existence in my embrace. Sinn held me firmly in his grip as his head touched mine.

I felt pressure in my lower region when I turned to Sinn.

"I still feel weird down there." I tell him and he furrows his brow before he realises something.

"Your placenta must be delivering." He said as he got up and grabbed something before coming to me. I didn't pay much attention to anything except for my newlyborn girl. I could look at her for hours and not get tired.

Sinn had scissors in his hand as he held the umbilical cord and cut it. He then looked at me gently.

"I need you to push."

I did as he said without questions and he pressed his hand on my stomach when I started to feel pressure building. Within the next 3 to 5 minutes I felt something come out of me and Sinn removed it from me.

"I'll need you to lay down to check if there's any tearing." He told me and I nodded as he picked me up and laid me down while I held our baby.

He bought a clean cloth for me to cover our girl and I let him wrap her with her still in my arms. She started crying again when I figured she must've been hungry and lifted my shirt and unhooked my bra to feed her.

He checked down there and did something while I stared at my baby feeding when Sinn was done.

"I've cleaned you up. There was no tearing." He had covered my bottom with a pad and underwear as I must be bleeding now and put over a clean sheet to cover my bare legs.

"Thank you." I told him genuinely. "I wouldn't have been able to do this without you."

I looked at him and he was looking at me with an intense stare. He held my hand as my other held our baby.

"I need to thank you for giving me the most precious thing I could ask for." He added, "And you would've been able to do this without me, it was you who pushed her out on her own I was only there to witness it."

"You are the strongest person I've met in my life." He pecked my hand as he put it against his face.

An exhausted smile reached my eyes.

"It hurt like a bitch. I don't think I can ever go through with this again." I said honestly.

I love my newborn baby girl with all my being, I will kill for her if the need be, but I can't for the life of me go through with birth again.

His hand didn't let go of mine, it was pressed to the warmth of his face. His eyes gazing me with it's intensity.

"I'll make sure you don't on my end."

He simply stated and I couldn't stop the smile on my face.

"My goodness Layla!" Sienna ran in the room and Sinn pulled away as she stopped before us with a stunned look.

"It's here! The baby's here!" She jumped in excitement and this is the first time I'm seeing her so excited cause usually she's pretty composed.

Sienna came to check on her and she had already fallen asleep after feeding.

"I fed her and she's asleep already." I told her and Sienna gave me a look with her eyes widened before she looked at Sinn.

"It's a girl!" She smacked Sinn's shoulder and Sinn just stood there unfazed but I saw a smile playing on his lips.

"Congratulations you both! Thank you for making me an aunt!"

She held my hand and gave it a warm squeeze. I nodded my head in reply feeling my throat hoarse from all the screaming I did before trying to push her out.

"I'll check how you're doing real quick and then I'll leave you to rest."

She checked me down there and had a smile as she said, "Well I think my brother is a better doctor than I am. You're all set Layla no tears and Sinn cleaned you up nicely."

"I only did that, Layla pushed her out on her own." Sinn said and Sienna looked at me impressed.

"My my Layla, you are one incredible woman." She smiled and I gave her a faint smile cause I felt exhausted.

"I did what my body told me to." I said and Sienna smiled.

My voice came out so hoarse that Sinn bought me water which I sipped from before I started rubbing my baby's soft head.

"Well then Layla I'll clean up your girl for you and run some tests on her, in the meantime you can rest here."

I handed her to Sienna and she held her firmly in her arms and took to clean her up.

My eye lids closed on their own as exhaustion hit me.

When I opened my eyes again I was in the familiar setting of Sinn's room. It was the same with only a new addition to his room.

There was a baby cot and my girl in it sleeping peacefully. I smiled as I tried getting up but I still felt pain so I didn't try to force myself.

"How are you feeling?" Sinn asked me as he entered the room and saw me awake.

I gave him a smile, the exhaustion still there, "Better since those contractions, but it's still uncomfortable down there."

Sinn acknowledged me quietly as he came to sit infront of me and beside the cot.

"It will take some time before your body recovers. You should relax and not exert yourself too much.

He told me and I smiled. "Yes doctor." I smirked and he gave me a playfull scoff.

I sighed as I stared at the baby cot and the baby sleeping in it peacefully.

"I can't believe I'm a mother of this little girl now. Do you believe it?"

I asked him and saw Sinn glancing at her. A soft expression on his face. "It feels surreal." He muttered and I couldn't agree more.

I remembered something when I caught his attention again.

"Have you thought of any names? I wasn't sure what we were having so I didn't think of any. I thought I'll know once I take it in my arms."

Sinn looked at me, "So, what name did you think of?" He smirked and I smiled back.

"Vivienne. Vivienne Phoenix." It felt right as I saw her move in her sleep.

"I couldn't have thought of a better name for her." Sinn told me as he grazed my cheek with his hand which felt so warm and soft.

"Vivienne! Uncle Yuri will cherish you forever! My number 1 girl!" Yuri exclaimed as he held her who was sleeping peacefully.

"Stop being so dramatic and move away, it's my turn to hold her." Leo said irritated as Yuri wouldn't let her go.

"Give her to me!" Leo said and took her from Yuri carefully.

"Vivienne, it's uncle Leo your favorite uncle. Don't listen to whatever uncle Yuri tells you cause it is I who will cherish you the most." Leo said cradling her in his arms while Yuri had his hands on his hips.

"No you don't. Stop copying what I say that's not what a cool uncle does." Yuri said and Leo ignored him.

I was in the living room with Sienna sitting with me and Sinn standing with them two to make sure they don't start fighting over holding her.

"This place feels so much warmer now that she's here! She's been here only 2 days and I already can't stop thinking how I'll spoil her." Sienna told me excited and I smiled at her.

"Layla, let's go it's time for you to rest." Sinn came to me with Vivienne sleeping cozily in his arms. He looks so much more attractive with my baby in his arms.

"Alright." I got up and Sinn came next to me and placed his hand behind me.

"That's no fair Sinn, I wanted to hold her more." Yuri complained behind us and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Times up, come back tomorrow." Sinn said and I heard Yuri complain "It's not fair!"

We walked up the stairs to his section in the mansion and we sat down in his room.

I layed down on the bed and he came to lay beside me placing Vivienne on the bed between us.

I placed my finger in the grip of her hand and kissed her it as I smelled the fresh baby fragrance on her.

"I have been wondering something since I encountered that little boy before I went into labour."

I continued looking at Vivienne and I could feel Sinn's gaze set on me.

"I wouldn't want my kid to be in danger. That day if we weren't there, that man would've taken the little boy with him and done god knows what. As a parent myself now, I want to get rid of people who'll cause kids harm." Sinn's gaze didn't move from me as I continued.

"So I want to continue doing what I do now. I want to get rid of the people who threaten kids or even anyone when I have trained so hard, I want to put it to use."

Sinn didn't say anything and I looked up from her and saw him staring at Vivienne with his finger in her tiny grip.

"I won't stop you Layla. Being a father to Vivienne has made me feel this one thing and that is I wouldn't want any harm to come to my little girl."

Sinn continued playing with her tiny hand as he added, "I've been wondering of continuing my studies. I didn't get the chance to since Papa Don wouldn't let me breathe without his permission. Now with him gone thanks to you, I might practice medicine and make sure no harm befalls you and Vivienne.

Sinn looked at me, his grey eyes shining as he met my gaze. "I'll be there behind you like a shadow. You'll find me when you need me."

My eyes lit up when he said that he'll continue his studies. He's finally going to do something for himself and not what Papa Don wants. "I'm proud of you Sinn, you'll make a handsome doctor."

He raised his eyebrow at me as a playful smile lingered on his lips. "Handsome? That's the first I'm hearing someone address a doctor."

I smirked as I popped up my arm and rested my hand on it. "We all have firsts in our lives."

Sinn smiled at me and I took my other hand and placed it on the side of his face. I love this man more than I could express.

I grazed his face and looked into his grey eyes which were filled with so much affection for me.

I joined my lips with his and gave him a soft yet intense kiss conveying my feelings to him without saying it.

And when I pulled away and saw him lean back in again and kiss me with even more intensity, I knew my feelings had reached him and he was conveying me his.
