***GULFMEW'S ROOM***

Mew fisted his husband's shirt and bit his lips to control his cries. He had cried enough over Glaze. Gulf drew comforting circles on his husband's back. Gulf felt at fault for not finding Mew sooner. Mew smiled through his pain and Gulf felt so bad. Mew said, "I never got anything from Glaze after my eighteenth birthday. I think he himself had enough of all that." Mew dug his face deeper into Gulf's chest. "So that's why you hate pity so much?" Gulf asked in a breaking voice. Mew nodded. Gulf had much more to say to Mew than he had imagined. He just got another situation to clear.

"I wonder why he even bothered to send me a plushie that year," Mew sadly marked. Gulf's guilt was eating him up. He could not stay shut on this matter anymore. Gulf spoke up, "Because, I was there!" Mew got up. "What do you mean by you were there?" If Mew was getting it correct then Gulf was claiming to be... his Glaze? "I was there! When you were crying by the pond. I even brought dad with me to meet you! But..." Gulf lost his voice. Mew was confused and curious, "But what?" Gulf sat up. "But then you started cursing me. I wanted to run to you but dad stopped me" Gulf replied. "Tell me everything!" Mew ordered.

----------- FLASHBACK (GULF'S ACCOUNT) -----------

Gulf was standing near a tree by the pond. He was sure that his doughnut would come there. His intuitions told him so. He dragged his dad with him because he wanted him to meet his Doughnut. March had always been curious of this friend his son had made. Gulf would go to his grandparents' house every day since he was six years old. But he won't stay with the old couple. Gulf would run off to his 'secret playground'. But he would never reveal where that playground was. All he ever said was, "My Doughnut must be waiting for me." And then he would only return after the sun had set already. March even tried to send bodyguards with his son. But the notorious kid would slip through.

March remembered the tantrums Gulf threw when they had to move away. Gulf even said that he could live on his own. But Fon somehow made him agree with going with them. March told his son to go and bid farewell to his friend. March and Fon weren't even sure if this 'Doughnut' was actually a person or just an imaginary friend their son made. Gulf returned home crying. He cried, "Doughnut only had me. And you're taking me away from him." Fon had asked him, "Did your Doughnut say all this to you? Is he stopping you from going?" Gulf shook his head and cried more. He said, "His eyes tell me he's hurt. Why can't I just stay here for him!?"

Gulf sent presents for his friend for five years. He even sent his report cards' pictures in the letters. He wanted to tell Doughnut that he was doing fine. And before the teenager knew, he already had a crush on his Doughnut. And his love never faded for the boy he first met crying.

Looking at this dedication of his son, March decided to move back to Bangkok. Gulf was the happiest kid on earth at that time. March asked to meet this friend of his son. Gulf agreed to bring his dad with him.

They were hidden behind a tree near the pond, waiting for Doughnut to come. Gulf wanted to surprise him. But when Doughnut arrived, Gulf saw the tears in his eyes. He wanted to run to him and ask him what was wrong. But he held back. He didn't know why but he held back. And then Doughnut started cursing him. Gulf wanted to hug his Doughnut so tight but he couldn't move from his position for some unknown reason.

He never pitied Doughnut. He really wanted to be friends with the older. Gulf sent him those presents all these years because he wanted his Doughnut to know that even if they have been apart he never forgot about him. He sent all those presents from the money he saved from his pocket money. He would save that money for the whole year and would buy something for his Doughnut. He even insisted on paying the shipping charges of every letter and presents. He was this mature and responsible just because of Doughnut. And this was why his parents were so grateful to this friend of their son they didn't even know.

When Gulf was ready to go to Doughnut, March held him. "Why don't you try proving yourself for him?" he asked his son. Gulf didn't understand. "Right now, you can not defend him from the world all by yourself. You will need my support," March said. Gulf was just staring at his father. March continued, "Why don't you grow up to be so invincible that no one can go against you. And then you will be able to keep your Doughnut safe from everything." Gulf understood what his father meant.

---------- FLASHBACK END ----------

"And after that, I started helping dad in his business to gain experience and knowledge. And dad let me have my own company. Many of his investors who had worked with me, invested in my company. That's how GD got a high reputation so early on," Gulf said. Mew was trying to absorb all this new information. "You mean to say you are Glaze... then why didn't you ever contact me again?" Mew was tearing up again. "I got too busy with all of it. I was studying and working at the same time. I also wasn't sure if you still wanted to hear from me. That day you seemed so angry," Gulf replied. He was already crying.

"Since when did you know that I am Doughnut?" Mew asked. Gulf had a slight look of apology. He answered, "Ever since you came for the interview. I just had to look at you once to recognize you. And then checking the address on your form, I knew I was not wrong. You don't know how hard it has been for me to not tell you that I was your Glaze." Mew still couldn't believe all the words that were entering his ears. It was too much information for him to take. "And dad knows about it too? What about mom?" Mew asked. Gulf just nodded his head a few times as a reply.

------- FLASHBACK (5 YEARS AGO) -----

Gulf was twenty-three years old now. He had his own company which had been doing perfectly fine since it started two years ago. His father's old friends and some investors were happy to invest in Gulf's own company. All of them knew that Gulf would not disappoint them. They knew his potential.

After running this company for two years, Gulf realized one thing. It was really hard to manage his schedules on his own. He would mess it all up if his father's secretary never helped him arrange things. But Gulf also knew that he couldn't always pester his father's secretary. And so, he decided to get one for himself. He was going to interview all the people who were interested in taking the job. His friend and colleague, Yibo, was sitting by his side.

"So you gonna chose a hot girl or something?" Yibo asked with a smirk. Gulf shook his head, "Should I tell your babe about you asking for a hot secretary?" Yibo faked hurt, "You can't do that to me! I'm your only friend." Gulf chuckled at this idiot sitting beside him. Gulf said, "You know I won't find girls attractive. And of course... I'll tell lies to Xiao Zhan if you do something stupid. You know how much I love seeing him get mad at you!" Yibo frowned, "What's so entertaining about a cute and happy couple fighting?" Gulf sighed, "It's so satisfying to see you beg for his forgiveness. And that bunny of yours... Damn! he can really make a man of no apology get on his knees, begging." Yibo faced the other side.

"Just wait till you fall in love... this 'Ice Cube' facade of yours will melt like the snow after winter's over!" Yibo was trying to be philosophic. Gulf smacked his friend's head, "We live in Thailand, you idiot! There's no snowing happening here" Yibo imitated Gulf's words animatedly, "The interview's about to begin. Get your back straight." And the two changed from goofy to serious.

The first some of the interviewees weren't capable. They were underconfident. They were too clumsy. They were not suitable for the job. Some were here just to waste everyone's time. But no one was even close to the secretary Gulf was hoping for. They just won't fit.

Then the next one walked in. Honestly, Gulf was done with this. He wanted to cancel it now. He just wanted to stop this headache. But this new man in the room had something in his aura, it was attracting Gulf. Gulf felt like it was something he was very familiar with. Gulf looked at him. His jaw dropped. Doughnut! My Doughnut! Gulf wanted to hug the man. But he couldn't. The situation won't let him. Gulf rummaged through the pages and got his hands on his Doughnut's portfolio. Mew Suppasit? So this is Doughnut's real name, Gulf wanted to smile but didn't want to look like a fool.

Gulf read the whole portfolio and his form too. The address and date of birth confirmed that this man in front of him was his Doughnut. He saw him after so many years. But Doughnut seemed like a different person. He wasn't smiling as he did. It was just a business smile. He couldn't be relaxed around Gulf like he used to be. In fact, Doughnut, sorry, Mew didn't even know that he was sitting in front of his Glaze. Mew was the perfect choice. He fit every criteria Gulf had in mind.

"Thank you Mr. Suppasit. You can start working tomorrow," Gulf said. He dismissed all the rest of those who were left. He was excited to see his Doughnut after so many years. But then the happenings from Mew's eighteenth birthday played in his brains. But would Doughnut be happy to know that it's me? Gulf asked himself. He changed his plans a little.

Earlier, he thought of telling Mew everything. But then he wanted to keep it a secret. The last time's words that Mew had said about him did affect him somewhere. Though Gulf knew that his Doughnut can't be angry with him, but he didn't want to take chances. So he would just let time and fate play their game.

Mew's first day at work was great. Mew handled everything like those who have experience of decades. But it was only Mew's second job. Mew seemed to have resigned from the previous one because of some private reasons. But Gulf won't let Mew resign from here. He was going to do everything he could to make Mew stay. He was not going to lose his Doughnut again.

-------FLASHBACK END-------

Mew was still not done interrogating, "Why never tell me about this?" Gulf frowned a little, "Would you believe me if I simply came up to you and said that I am Glaze? You would resign then and there! I already had enough of not seeing you around! I couldn't afford your resignation." Mew asked his last question, "Tell me something that only me and Glaze know."

Gulf got up and left the room.

He returned after some time and met with a frowning Mew. "Here. My evidence," Gulf said as he handed Mew a photo frame. Mew took it and observed it carefully. It was the picture from the night Glaze had stayed at his place.

The little boy had pleaded Mew to take pictures together when he saw the polaroid camera in the house. Mew had gladly taken their photos and given one of them to Glaze. The photo he gave the younger was of them together. Glaze was hugging him tightly and kissing his cheek while Mew was visibly blushing.

Not wasting another second, Mew hugged Gulf tightly. "Now you believe me?" Gulf asked. Mew nodded and pulled Gulf down to the mattress again. Gulf was about to say something but Mew captured his lips. And their lips started to slow dance together. This time, Mew was the one to initiate the kiss. He was happy to know that his Glaze had never really left him alone. He was happy that he had married the man he loved for years. Of course, he felt bad that he had been pushing Gulf because he loved someone else who turned out to be... Gulf? But all that mattered right now was that Gulf had managed to make him fall in love with him twice. Once when they were kids and didn't know each other's reality. And again when they were adults and knew who they really were.

Mew couldn't be happier. And Gulf too was thankful to fate that out of everyone else, Mew had come to interview for his secretary.

There's more left to happen on the same night.

Do you people also think that I detail some parts too much that it takes chapters to complete one event? And then I just give barely any detail to some parts and give a huge time skip?
