Chapter 310: From the Bottom 6

Cale then heard Tasha's voice. The voice that made it through the water sounded worried.

"...This is bad. W, we can't handle this much."

Everyone frowned at the urgency in her voice.

"Whatever situation they are in is not good." tcf!Cale suddenly has a bad feeling about what they will find out.

Tasha looked toward her subordinates while standing between Litana and Choi Han who did not know what was going on.

Although some of them were left behind in Section 8, the best of the Dark Elves in the entire Dark Elf city were by her side right now.

"Where in the Jungle?" tcf!Tasha was surprised that it will seem like they will help the southern Jungle.

"With the dark elves and them" tcf!Litana has mixed emotions about what she read.

She's delighted that she got help for whatever the situation the Jungle was in.

And fear that it'll mean the situation was dire enough to need outside help.

All of them had stiff expressions on their faces.

Tasha bit down on her lips.

'...There are so many.'

"Is there a lot of enemies again?" tcf!Lock anxiously ask remembering how the young master-nim was surrounded by enemies.

She had smelled a sweet yet bitter fragrance as soon as they entered Section 7 underwater. That was the fragrance of dead mana that was like a fountain of strength for them.

Dead mana

Everyone absorbed that information.

"No wonder I needed help from dark elves" tcf!Litana thought with dread that her land was in danger with dead mana.

She was happy to smell it at first.

However, she started to feel suffocated the farther they walked up the river.

There was too much dead mana for them to absorb. Just how much death had to have happened for this much dead mana to be here?

Everyone did a sharp intake. "For even a dark elve to say that.."

"How much dead mana is there?" The queen of the jungle was worried for her citizens' life.

tcf!Cale's eyes sharpen as he read the word 'death' "are humans is being made a sacrifice to make dead mana?" He frown hard at that thought.

Tasha subconsciously looked toward Mary.

Her father, the current mayor of the Dark Elves' Underground City, had told her a little bit about black magic.

Some are very interested to hear more about the necromancer and black magic.

Knowing more means knowing how to protect and fight back.

'Protect Mary.'

'Excuse me? Father, what do you mean?'

'It is an order as the mayor. Mary might...'

The Dark Elf mayor who had lived for over five hundred years blinked before continuing to speak.

'Yes, this may all just be nature taking its course. It is finally time for someone to receive the will of the Sage of Death.'

'The Sage of Death?

Who is that?'

Some have the same question. "Who is the sage of death and what is their will?"

"Am I going to receive the will?" Both Mary thought not knowing what to feel about it. But she does feel happy at Tasha and the mayor for wanting to protect her.

Tasha was confused, but the mayor continued to speak in a serious tone.

'Take our best warriors with you. I'll send some more as reinforcements as well. However, you MUST protect Mary. We must protect the only necromancer in the world.'

Tasha had planned on protecting Mary even if the mayor had not said to do so.

Alberu was her nephew by blood, however, she felt just as close to Mary. Tasha had still not forgotten about when she had saved the ten-years-old Mary.

"Ah, so there really related by blood" tcf!Cage was slightly surprised. She knows that they were acquainted but not by blood.

"She is the daughter of the mayor.. so his Highness has the strong backing of the dark elves since he is related to the mayor" tcf!Taylor thought that how his Highness is incredible for hiding this without anyone suspecting.

tcf!Alberu suddenly feels pleased, he felt like someone just complimented him.

"I know it! His highness is the one who was giving me trouble" tcf!Cale clicks his tongue thinking that his Highness use underhanded tricks to force him into doing troublesome task.

He ignored the fact that he knows full well that he can also use underhanded tricks to make it in his favor and not force to follow someone's order.

tcf!Alberu suddenly feels sullen, he felt like someone was wrongly blaming him.

"This is bad."

Tasha flinched and turned toward Eruhaben. She knew the true identity of this ancient Dragon, unlike the other Dark Elves. The other Dark Elves were probably debating whether this was real right now and questioning whether Eruhaben really was a Dragon.

The golden dragon scoff "why would they think I'm not?" But then he thought that maybe he was hiding his identity there.

Tasha tightly clenched her eyes after hearing the stiff ancient Dragon's comment.

"It looks like the Empire's goal from the beginning was to destroy the Jungle."

"What!" Rage-filled voice was said by the Queen of the Jungle.

"How dare they!" But the worry was still laced within her as she thinks of the citizens living there.

An urgent voice shot out through the water after a moment of silence.

"...Just what? What do you mean?"

Litana, the Queen of the Jungle, responded back in anger. Tasha slowly started to explain the power that they were feeling from throughout Section 7.

Both Litana and Choi Han's pupils started to shake after hearing Tasha's explanation.

"S, so, what you're saying is... There are currently dead mana bombs throughout Section 7 and although the Dark Elves may eventually be able to absorb all the dead mana, it will be hard to deal with it at the moment of explosion?"

"No.." tcf!Litana slumped in her seat at the devastation of what they were facing.

"I must know more" she steeled herself. She will not succumb to her emotions as she remains rational. She needed to know if there is a way to keep her land and people safe.

Litana's voice was shaking as she stood there with a blank expression while trying to calmly assess what Tasha had just told her.

"That is why we might not be able to save everyone, and Section 7 might be destroyed as well?"

"My people.." the Queen of the Jungle can't help but be worried about her citizens.

As everyone else doesn't like the situation.

She could hear the low voice of the mysterious Archmage who started to speak as if he was responding to her.

"They plan on creating hell."

tcf!Cale clicks his tongue as anger swells up in him.

"You're face says you want to create hell for the empire" og!Cale suddenly said as he add "which I support by the way" as he smirk evilly.

"Yeah, do what you're best!" tboah!Cale supported as he continue "wrecking havoc!" said with an evil glint in his eyes.

tcf!Cale suddenly feels calm with bloodthirsty idiots beside him muttering tortures.

He also doesn't like how he saw the young Dragon have sparkling eyes while listening to the two idiots' graphic mumbles.

... He ignored it.

Hell.

Litana felt chills on the back of her neck as soon as Eruhaben said that word.

She tightly clenched onto her spear. Her gaze headed toward a specific person at the same time.

Cale Henituse.

The queen also looks at tcf!Cale who was in the center as if looking for hope and answer.

"Why are you looking at me?" tcf!Cale wanted to ask both the Litana on the screen and the one with them here. But decided not to... for his peace of mind.

Her gaze had subconsciously headed toward this man.

'Why am I looking at him when he probably can't give me any answers?

"Yes, don't look at me! I'm just a shrimp in the midst of you people" tcf!Cale nodded with his thought

"... What am I doing there anyway?"

He frowns.

He ignored that thought.

This was not something any of us expected.'

The Queen of the Jungle looks away dejected "It was stupid of me to push my problem to him and to look for the solution from him" She hated the feeling of helplessness as what to do to save her land and people.

Who would have known that the Empire wished to destroy Section 7 instead of taking it over out of greed?

'Should I have told them to run and resist?'

Litana recalled how she had ordered her people to not resist and remain still. She also thought about her decision to wait at Section 8 instead of barging in right away.

"Damn it!"

She noticed Cale's expression as anger started to fill her eyes.

"...Young master Cale?"

She then subconsciously called out to him.

It was because he was smiling.

"Huh? So your angry while smiling?" tboah!Cale said, "stop making it hard to imagine!" He was already having a hard time imagining things with just words and sounds.

"Yeah! Just act angry if your angry and happy if your happy!" og!Cale agrees with his past self.

"You're really full of contradiction"

tboah!Cale and og!Cale said in unison.

"I am very straightforward" tcf!Cale scoff at their nonsense.

He had no other choice.

One of the ancient powers was continuously talking in his mind. I'm hungry. I can really eat and eat and eat nonstop.

"That's one hungry ancient power" tcf!Bud commented, not being surprised anymore.

tcf!Cale also keeps hearing the glutton in his mind.

-Cale, eat that weird-looking dessert and ask the slime to get fish and chips, Herring, waffles...

He drones it out as the list goes on.

It was the glutton saying that her appetite was endless. Remember what the wind told you? The wind said to use her if you want to run and the Super Rock if you want to protect your home. Use me for this.

The glutton was serious. I am the only one here who can, 'grow.'

Fire, water, wind, and earth.

"So many ancient powers"

Some still couldn't completely comprehend how someone got multiple ancient powers.

"Too bad your plate is still weak even if you did complete the ancient powers" tboah!Eruhaben suddenly commented.

"What?" tcf!Cale thought. He thought that his plate will be stronger when he complete the ancient powers. He frowns.

He looks at the two beside him. And smirk.

"This is your fault" he addresses the two.

Gasps!

tboah!Cale and og!Cale was speechless at that smug look.

"Goldie gramps! what do you mean? Is my human going to be ok?"

Raon asks while pressing his hand and face in the glass-like wall.

The golden dragon gives a sigh. it's not a fond sigh... it's not... " Ahem. It means it just got bigger but it's still easily can break"

"So don't overuse your ancient powers" tcf!Eruhaben advises the self-sacrificing transmigr-son no! transmigrator.

"I'll, of course, won't be using it often" tcf! Cale nodded. He will only ever use it in emergencies.

While a certain crybaby thinks "why do I feel like I'm going to be overworked?" He suddenly feels like he wants to cry.

Those were things that had existed from the beginning.

However, wood was different. Wood is a living being, like humans.

It is born and it dies. It is alive. And I am the, 'Indestructible,' wood.

"Ah, the indestructible shield." tcf!Rosalyn thought of the beautiful shield that the young master Cale use to protect the people from the mana bombs.

"Can the shield protect the whole section 7?" She highly doubts it but she still hopes.

The Queen of the jungle was also having the same thought.

Normal woods break.

However, the glutton was an indestructible existence.

That was why she could grow without stopping.

She could lower her roots into the ground, absorb the sunlight, air, water, warmth... She could eat everything over and over and continue to grow.

"Can she eat humans?" og!Cale suddenly asks a terrifying question to tcf!Cale.

"Let's hope she won't eat you" tboah!Cale horrifyingly whispers to tcf!Cale.

"Of course she won't" tcf!Cale firmly denies their nonsense.

".. You won't right?" But he still asks the glutton.. just to be sure.

-Eww I rather eat dirt than humans, I still have some humanity! And I'll certainly won't eat you Cale! Because you eat the most delicious foods!

"So if I don't eat the delicious foods I might get eaten?" He ask himself because he was dreading the answer if he ask her.

- Oh Cale! eat that awesome-looking bread!

And he immediately eats it.

She couldn't survive on her own, but she could reach anywhere and everything as long as she had a sill to connect her.

And that sill had been created for the glutton.

Everything she needed existed inside this plate called Cale. Do you know why I died in the land of boulders?

"I always thought it was of hunger but then if she's asking like this.." tcf!Cale frown. He doesn't like how she died of hunger but it makes it sounds like she still died horribly.

Meanwhile

"Boulders!" A certain pink dragon has sparkles in his eyes.

The glutton asked Cale while laughing.

She then soon answered her own question. There were not enough trees there. There are only boulders.

Cale quietly chuckled.

It could not be helped. I was born in the Jungle.

He couldn't help but laugh after hearing what the glutton had to say. The Jungle was dark back then. The trees were all black. That was why this was called the Forest of Darkness as well.

"Black trees.." tcf!Alberu thought "if my guess is correct, the trees absorb the black mana, if it's true then that's an amazing power"

Cale recalled the conversation he had when he had first gained an ancient power in this world. This was what the owner of the Indestructible Shield had said to him.

'There weren't tasty things like this during ancient times. The things that the bastards in the Forest of Darkness gave me while saying that we were people who served a god were tasteless.'

'Of course, I was kicked out of there. They said that I was too greedy for food. What nonsense. My friends came out with me. We planned on fixing the issues of the world.'

He had thought that she meant the Forest of Darkness that Choi Han had come from, but apparently, he had been wrong.

There was a different Forest of Darkness during ancient times. Do you remember what I told you in the beginning?

"A different one?" tboah!Choi Han thought "so there are two Forests of Darkness in the past?"

Ancient times.. the indestructible shield was previously from ancient times.

Some are curious about the previous life of the ancient power.

Cale nodded his head at the glutton's question.

Of course, he remembered. It was the moment he first gained an ancient power.

It was what the glutton priestess had said when the shield was etched on top of his heart.

'I will protect you.'

The shield had been protecting Cale ever since that moment.

It would protect him this time as well.

"What great power" tcf!Paseton said in awe remembering the rumors of how the young master used it to protect everyone from the mana bombs.

"It's a good thing that the young master got that power" tcf!Witira agrees with his brother. She still feels grateful to the young master.

Cale started to speak to those who were looking at him.

"We will proceed with the original plan."

He then started to think about the layout of Section 7.

He had seen it before when he visited because of the Sun God Twins.

"Ah, so that's where we meet" tcf!Jack gasps remembering that fateful encounter that they've read.

"The encounter that opened my eyes to the real enemies" tcf!Hannah thought fondly and then it change into bloodthirst as she thinks of her revenge.

All of the people and buildings, including the palace, coexisted with the trees. The buildings were built between or on top of trees, making the entire city seem like one large forest.

"Young master-nim, then the Empire can detonate the dead mana bombs and destroy Section 7!"

"Bombs, and not any normal bombs but dead mana bombs" tboah!Cage bristle in anger.

Everyone remembers the plaza incident.

Tasha urgently shared her opinion and Cale nodded his head before responding.

"Please don't worry about the explosion."

"...Excuse me?"

Cale smoothly repeated the shield's words to Litana who asked in confusion.

"I will eat everything up so that nobody gets hurt."

"You will what!?"

Everyone was dumbfounded at that declaration.

"Who are you Natsu?" og!Cale commented with incredulity.

"Stop with the reference" tcf!Cale hiss at him "and he eats fire not explosion" he huffs thinking why did they even listen to their team members' nonsense.

"How will you even eat the explosion?" tboah!Cale ask indecorously "like taking a long deep breath? I'm pretty sure my body doesn't have that much lung capacity" he commented as og!Cale agrees with him.

"It's the ancient power, it's not literally me!" tcf!Cale defended.

"The ancient power will give you a large lung capacity?" og!Cale asks with a scrunch face.

tcf!Cale sigh. He reaches his hand to tboah!Cale as if asking for something.

"Paw!" tboah!Cale said in glee at the same time he place his hand on tcf!Cale.

"What 'paw'? I'm asking you to give me the wine" he really needs a drink.

In a flash, tboah!Cale was at the very edge of the couch hugging his wine "No!" He said pouting.

tcf!Cale hand that was still reaching out twitch.

"Paw!" Raon place his paw on tcf!Cale's hand.

"Paw!"

"Paw!"

As On and Hong also joined in.

"Human this fun!" The cute dragon said with twinkling eyes.

"..." tcf!Cale just let them be. (It's not like he thought it was cute or anything).

He prepared to head above water.

"The dead mana will not hurt the forest nor the people. Please trust me."

All of the group members heard Cale's statement.

"We also do not have many opportunities. We do not know what will happen in the future. It is not time to look back."

"...Young master Cale."

Litana bit down on her lips and started to contemplate things in her mind. She trusted Cale, however, a lot of people's lives were on the line.

"That's right, don't just trust me" tcf!Cale thought "she needs to think carefully of what she needs to do."

It was at that moment.

"Cale-nim."

The quiet Choi Han finally chimed in.

"Will you be using an ancient power?"

Ancient power. Those words made Litana flinch. She had heard from Rosalyn and Choi Han about how bad Cale's current situation was, but that he continued to push himself regardless of what was going on to his own body.

"Pfft, what nonsense is she saying" tcf!Cale scoff at their exaggeration.

"Wanna bet he'll faint again?" og!Cale conspiracy whisper to tboah!Cale

"I'm going to bet he'll go into a short coma" tboah!Cale whisper back being game on the bet.

"I can hear you" tcf!Cale said deadpan as they both know he's sitting in the middle.

"Exactly!" tboah!Cale and og!Cale snort.

It made her think about how Cale had almost fainted after putting out the fire in Section 1.

"He'll be the one to extinguish the fire" tcf!Litana now understands why she places her trust in him. "He even extended his help in our land" She was moved once again by the noble deeds the young master has and will do.

She looked toward Cale who was thinking Choi Han was smart as he answered back.

"Yes."

Litana bit her lips at this casual answer of a single word.

Many people lived here in Section 7 of the Jungle.

One person was putting his own life on the line in order to save these people.

Everyone was worried for the transmigrator who was the weakest here and yet has a strong heart.

"Me? Putting my own life? Pfft," tcf!Cale scoffed once again at the nonsense that he was reading.

'...We have no way of knowing how the Empire would act.'

They might destroy Section 7 and run even if the Jungle did not do anything because the declaration from the other kingdoms would put them in danger.

"Other Kingdoms?" tcf!Alberu mumbled, "Is she saying that we have more allies in different kingdoms?" He already has an inkling that the Roan and the Jungle will form an alliance since his people are with them.

They would do it so that the Jungle would be too busy dealing with this situation to be able to participate in the war or at least delay their entry into the war. It was possible that the Empire would aim to do that.

"War" a battle thirst Toonka thought as he was excited to fight strong opponents.

"It was inevitable," almost everyone thought in dejection.

With these many adversaries, they need allies to counter them.

Litana calmed down.

"Shall we go?"

Cale heard Raon's voice once the decision-maker made up her mind

'There are no guards here right now!'

Cale kicked off the bottom of the river. He soon shot out of the water.

Chhhhhhh-

Gold dust covered Cale and the others who cut through the water.

Eruhaben had turned them invisible once again.

That was why nothing was visible even though they shot out of the water.

"As expected of an ancient dragon" tcf!Cale thought. He then frowns "I need to make sure he lives long" It's because he needs the ancient dragon's help... that's the reason...

"Ha."

Cale let out a small scoff as soon as he came out of the water.

It was as Raon had described.

There were hundreds of cylindrical water-tank looking things throughout Section 7.

Beep- Beeeeeep-

They each had a beautifully shining orb on top of them. However, these beautiful orbs were giving off some odd noises.

"Are those the mana bombs?" tcf!Pendrick let out a quiet gasp.

"A hundred of them.." Litana's eyes shook in worried if they can save everyone.

Tap.

Cale, who landed on the ground with a quiet noise, could hear Litana's voice that was full of despair. However, there was no other way to describe them.

They were bright.

Although all of the houses in Section 7 were dark without even one lit light... Although the people of the Jungle were probably curled up inside while being too afraid to even breathe...

"Those poor citizens" tcf!Jack claps his hand together with worried eyes.

As the Queen of the Jungle grips her hand hard as blood drips from it.

The light from hundreds of these beautiful orbs, the light from the palace that was taken over by the Empire, and the light shining down from the airship floating above the palace were all making Section 7 brighter than ever before.

It was as beautiful as a fancy city.

"That will soon turn to hell if they made a wrong move" tcf!Mila said frowning at the situation.

Cale quickly gave the order after taking a quick look.

"Please move to your positions."

He couldn't see any of them, but he could feel them starting to move.

Cale looked at the four directions and the center before continuing to speak.

"...And destroy them."

There was no need for a response.

Tap.

He soon heard footsteps. The group had split into the four directions and started to move. Human! They are all moving quickly! They will all get to their spots soon!

Queen Litana and some Dark Elves were headed East.

Tasha and some Dark Elves were headed West.

Mary and some Dark Elves were headed South.

Choi Han and some Dark Elves were headed North.

"I need to make an alliance with the dark elves" tcf!Litana decided "no.. with the Roan Kingdoms crown prince" she corrected as she knows the crown prince Alberu has enough authority with the dark elves and also has strong subordinates.

She was thinking that Choi Han and Cale Henituse were currently the crown prince's subordinates.

Cale heard a voice behind his back.

"I'll head over as well. You and the little kid make sure to do a good job."

"I'm not a little kid!" Raon shouted looking at the golden dragon. He's a smart dragon so he knows his gramps was talking about him.

"Aigoo" the golden dragon (fondly) sigh.

While tcf!Sheritt smile at his cute son.

The final person.

The ancient Dragon Eruhaben slowly started to float up into the air.

He was headed for the center.

He was aiming for the airship.

Eruhaben was in charge of dealing with it.

"Be careful Goldie gramps!"

Meow

Meow

The golden dragon who was surrounded by healing potions (aka requested by the children to the slime) let out fake coughs.

Ahem

Ahem

Cale opened up his hands. The group would no longer be invisible as soon as the attack started. They would all be revealed to the enemy.

A different operation would commence as soon as all of the gazes were focused on them.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Cale could feel his heart beating wildly.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Shaaaaaaa-

He could hear it.

He could hear the sound of leaves fluttering in the wind.

He could feel it.

He could feel that this was a forest, that this was the Jungle where a significantly large number of trees existed.

"That feels familiar.." og!Cale said trying to recall it.

Then he finally remembers "Oh Pocahontas!"

"Who's that?" tboah!Cale asks thinking the name sounds awesome.

"A princess that sings hearing the voices of the wind or nature" og!Cale smirks.

"Oooooh, a princess" tboah!Cale dramatically said as he claps his hand to the side while batting his eyes as he looks at tcf!Cale.

tcf!Cale scowl at them, then he pauses. "Why would you even know a princess story?"

tboah!Cale also pause. "Yeah, why would you know?

"Meh, I have a niece that I take care of" og!Cale said with a shrug.

Cale could hear a very quiet sound.

Shhhhhhh-

It was the sound of the leaves.

However, it was different than before.

Shhhhhhh-

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh-

"Is this the part where you'll sing?" tboah!Cale mischievously asks tcf!Cale.

"Don't know" tcf!Cale nonchalantly shrugged "I'm not sure if this body can even sing," he said with a smirk.

Offended Gasps!

"I have you know I was praised with my singing when I was wearing a disguise in a bar" og!Cale defended loudly.

"That's right!" tboah!Cale supported in outburst.

"What disguise and where?" A chilling voice ask.

His former butler was giving them a very scary smile that can freeze the place.

As everyone also looks at them.

"Uhh.. look important information!" og!Cale and tboah!Cale said pointing at the screen.

It was coming from the trees that were located in places where the Empire's fancy lights could not reach.

The branches of the trees that were touching the buildings where the Jungle's citizens were hiding were slowly starting to move.

It was at that moment.

Baaaaaaaaaang!

Cale opened his eyes.

He could see what was going on in the North. Human! It has started!

He could see a black-haired swordsman flying up to the top of the golem. The black aura was destroying the golem.

Choi Han was the first to make a move.

Baaaaang!

Baaaaaang! Baaaaang! Baaaaaang!

The Cales flinch every time they hear that 'bang' sound

"How vicious"

They unanimously thought.

He heard noises from the East, West, and South as well.

Cale lowered his head.

He could see himself turning visible again.

An alarm started to sound from the airship above Section 7.

The silence of the night was destroyed.

Cale started to smile as he looked toward the airship.

"I will create hell for you."

"I'm pretty sure you're also creating your own hell" og!Cale said as a matter of fact.

"With what he's been doing, I'm not surprised" tboah!Cae sagely said.

tcf!Cale ignores them.

Tonight would be a nightmare for the Empire's forces.

Shhhhhhh-

The trees started to cause a breeze in the area.

"It feels like the wood ancient power will be something awesome!"

The Cales feels excited on how the ancient power will create chaos on the enemies.
