Chapter 193
I'm Sorry My Love Novel
Chapter 193 The Romance I Want to Give After returning home, Daniel looked at the door behind him
thoughtfully. Just then, his cell phone rang. The call was from Elijah, who asked, âHowâs it going?â
Daniel sat on the couch and crossed his slender legs. âI did it personally, so of course, I succeeded.â
âGeorgina is smarter than you think. She has contributed a lot to the recent events of the Pearson
family,â uttered Elijah. âIâll stay alert. Besidesâ¦â Daniel paused before saying, âHe came back early.â
âWhen did he return?â âToday, I think.â Elijah inquired, âHas he met Georgina?â Daniel got up, opened
the refrigerator door, and took out a can of beer. âYes. I took Georgina out on purpose.â âShould we
bring forward the plan?â âNo,â replied Daniel. âBy the way, I saw Leanna today with Aidan.â There was
no response from Elijah. âThere are so many beautiful women out there. Why must you have Aidanâs
woman?â
âYou wonât understand.â Before Daniel could answer, Elijah hung up the phone. Daniel snorted while
holding the phone, raised his head, and drank half a can of beer. Todayâs plan was initially for him to
get acquainted with Georgina first so that he could facilitate future plans, but he didnât expectâ¦
However, it seemed that Georgina had lingering resentment toward Aidan. Otherwise, she would not
have said those things in public and embarrassed him. After finishing the rest of the beer, he squeezed
the can with one hand and threw it into the trash can. It was a goal. ⦠Zoe looked at half of the cake
and burped, âI canât eat anymore.â Leanna looked at her and instructed, âPut it in the refrigerator.â âNo
way. Didnât Daniel say that it wonât be good if we eat it tomorrow?â Zoe wanted to take another bite, but
she was too full now, so she simply slouched on the couch. âHeâs weird. Why did he bring the cake
over but not even take a bite? I ate this all by myself!â Leanna did not respond to her, but she found out
why Daniel came here today. His purpose was to inquire about the relationship between her, Georgina,
and Aidan. However, Leanna could not figure out why he would want to know. After a while, she got up.
âIâm going to sleep now. Stop eating and rest up already.â Zoe snorted and stood up firmly, declaring,
âGoodnight. I have to walk a little. Iâm too full.â âThere are pills for digestion in the drawer. You can take
some.â âOkay.â The following days went by peacefully. Perhaps, Aidan was too busy settling the
cooperation that he did not pester her. Leannaâs tense nerves also relaxed a little. Just as she was
looking out of the window in a daze, Zoeâs voice rang. âNana! Nana! Come and look.â Leanna got up
and walked out of the office, asking, âWhatâs wrong?â âThe environmental conservation project has
been completed,â Zoe exclaimed emotionally. âLook! The scenery is so pretty now, and the air feels
much better, and guess what?â
âWhat?â âBesides green plants, they also planted babyâs breaths of various colors! Babyâs breath
symbolizes that you miss a person, that a person is pure, that the person gives you hope, that you love
them, that youâre happy to have them, and that is the romance you want to offer them.â Leanna was
speechless. âArenât you curious about the anonymous philanthropist who did this?â Zoe continued. âNot
at all.â âThatâs a pity.â Just then, Elijah came in from outside, heard their conversation, and asked,
âWhatâs a pity?â Zoe chuckled dryly, âN-Nothing. Itâs nothing.â After saying that, Zoe questioned, âElijah,
have you been busy recently? I havenât seen you often.â Elijah nodded. âI just came back from a
business trip abroad.â âNo wonder I noticed you seemed to have lost weight recently.â Elijah smiled.
âItâs Thanksgiving tomorrow. Do you guys have any plans?â Zoe sighed. âI donât even have a boyfriend.
With whom shall I celebrate the festival? But weâre going to have a barbecue at home. Would you like
to join us?â When Zoe was talking, she winked at him desperately. Elijah seemed a little hesitant, but
he looked at Leanna, asking for her permission, âDo you mind if I join?â âOf course not.â Anyway, she
also invited Louis and Daphne, so it did not really matter if there was one more guest. Elijah breathed a
sigh of relief. âShould I bring anything?â âBring me a boyfriend,â Zoe lamented. Elijah did not know how
to respond to that. Leanna covered Zoeâs mouth and smiled. âSheâs joking.â
After gobbling half of the cake that night, Zoe had thought it through and decided to give up on Daniel.
Since she had vowed to be a playgirl, she could not possibly be held back by one man! At that
moment, Elijah lowered his head and glanced at his watch, saying, âIâll see you tomorrow then. I have
to go now.â Zoe asked, âAre you in such a hurry?â âI happened to pass by, so I thought Iâd check up on
you two.â âOkay, see you tomorrow,â uttered Leanna. Elijah nodded before turning to leave. After
walking a few steps, he noticed that the surrounding environment seemed to have changed. The green
plants seemed to appear out of thin air, standing in front of him, as if they were silently declaring war on
him. When Elijah left, Zoe muttered, âWe have Louis, Daphne, and Elijah, so thatâs five people in total.
Seems like itâs gonna be quite crowded tomorrow.â âDo you want to invite Daniel?â inquired Leanna.
âForget it.â Zoe whispered, âHe probably prefers canned food more than barbecue.â In Pearson Group,
Aidan put down the pen in his hand and pinched his nose, asking, âIs there anything else today?â âNo,
but there is a meeting at nine oâclock tomorrow morning, so you have to come to the company early,â
replied Jonathan. Aidan sighed deeply, got up, and uttered, âYou may go home now.â Jonathan
followed closely behind and inquired, âPresident Pearson, there is somethingâ¦â âWhat?â âDaphne said
she canât attend the dinner party tomorrow night.â âWhy?â Jonathan could not come up with an answer
because Daphne did not elaborate. Aidan stretched out his hand and ordered, âPass me the phone.â
Jonathan immediately searched Daphneâs number and dialed it, then handed it to Aidan.
The phone rang a few times before being connected. âIf you donât attend the dinner tomorrow, it will be
treated as absenteeism,â said Aidan. Daphne went silent. After a while, she argued, âPresident
Pearson, you are being unreasonable. You only notified me of the dinner party this afternoon, but I
promised my friends to spend Thanksgiving together the day before yesterday.â Hearing that, Aidan
paused before questioning, âWhich friend?â âA pretty lady.â Aidan went speechless and halted in his
footsteps. After a few seconds, he asked, âWhere is it?â âHer home.â âYou donât have to attend the
dinner event tomorrow, but I have one condition.â
