Chapter 202
I'm Sorry My Love Novel
Chapter 202 Stop While Youâre Ahead He drove her to a holiday home. Elijah got out of the car and
went around to open the door for her. âThank you,â she said. âNo prob. Letâs go inside.â Leanna looked
at the holiday home. It was lushly decorated, and she thought it felt like a house owned by intellectuals.
A servant came to welcome them. âMr. Jackson is waiting for you in the tea room, sir.â Elijah nodded.
He took Leanna to the tea room. Before they went inside, he whispered, âJust say nothing and watch
what happens, Leanna.â Leanna nodded. âSure.â A man with gray hair sat in front of the table, and he
was making tea. This man was Mr. Jackson, and sitting before him was a middle-aged couple. Leanna
was surprised to see the couple here. Mr. Jackson heard the sounds of footsteps, and he put his teapot
down. When he saw Leanna, it caught him by surprise.
âAnd this is?â Elijah said, âThis is Leanna, my friend.â He told Leanna, âThis is Mr. Jackson, my fatherâs
mentor.â Leanna said, âHello, Mr. Jackson.â Mr. Jackson smiled. âYou have a gorgeous friend, Elijah.
Come. Sit.â Annaâs parents looked at each other. Anna told them Elijah knew Leanna, but they didnât
expect him to bring her here. Mr. Jackson poured a cup of tea for Elijah and Leanna. He said, âThis is
the first time Elijah brought someone here. You must be really close to him.â Leanna was a little dazed.
She had no idea how to answer that. Elijah smiled. âSorry, Mr. Jackson. I brought her here for personal
and formal reasons. She needs your help.â âIs that so?â Mr. Jackson said, âWhat happened, girl? Tell
me. Iâll help as long as I can.â Annaâs father said, âItâs just a misunderstanding, Mr. Jackson.â
Mr. Jackson looked at them and frowned. âYou have something to do with this?â âMiss McKinney has
bad blood with my daughter, but itâs nothing big. Kids fight all the time. Iâve apologized to Mr. Parker,
soâ¦â Annaâs parents came to talk about the partnership with Constellation Tech. Ever since Anna got
on Elijahâs bad side, he canceled the partnership unilaterally. Annaâs parents broke their backs just to
get this chance, and they wouldnât give the partnership up. Since the cancellation, theyâve sought Elijah
out countless times. But Elijah refused to see them, so they pinned their hopes on Mr. Jackson.
Previously, Elijah only agreed to the partnership thanks to Mr. Jacksonâs help. They thought Elijah
would rekindle the partnership if Mr. Jackson intervened. He was just a young lad after all. Mr. Jackson
said, âAlright, thatâs confusing. Did you apologize to Elijah or Miss MicKinney?â
Elijah smiled. âLet me explain, Mr. Jackson.â Leanna looked at Elijah, and he nodded at her, telling her
to calm down. Elijah told him about what Anna did at Leannaâs workshop. She wasnât the kid like her
parents claimed. That woman was a spoiled brat who thought she could do as she pleased just
because she was rich. The Pearson couple looked upset, but they had no argument against that. They
knew how spoiled Anna was, but nobody in the family lectured her, since Leanna was just a nobody. In
the end, Annaâs mother got upset. She said, âThatâs our family matter. Donât you think youâre
overstepping it a little, Mr. Parker?â Leanna looked at her coolly. âIs it a family matter, really?â âWhy
youâ¦â Anna wanted to say something, but her husband pushed her down. Annaâs father said, âMiss
McKinney, I know Anna did wrong by you, but itâs all in the past now. Sheâs already learnt her lesson.
Please, forgive her.â âYeah. Sheâs still under house arrest. Donât push your luck any further, Miss
McKinney.â
Leanna smiled. âThatâs what she deserves. I didnât ask for her to be put under house arrest.â Annaâs
mother shot up. âJust because Elijahâs supporting you doesnât mean you can sh*t on us, wench! Youâre
just used goods Aidan tossed out of the family! You think youâre a bigshot now that you hooked up with
Elijah? Well, let me tell you something. Youâre still nothing!â Annaâs father quickly stood up and held her
down. âIâm sorry, Mr. Jackson. Weâ¦â he apologized. âEnough! How much longer do you want to bow to
them? Iâm a proud Zielinski, and I bow to no one!â She picked her bag up and was about to storm off.
He kept bowing at Mr. Jackson. âIâm so sorry, Mr. Jackson. She didnât mean what she said. Donât take it
to heart.â Mr. Jackson sipped on his tea. âI canât help you at this point.â Annaâs mother looked at Elijah,
but he spared her no smiles. She gnashed her teeth and left in frustration. Once they were gone, Mr.
Jackson sighed. âIâm sorry for not vetting them, Elijah.â
âItâs alright, Mr. Jackson. I just thought I should make things clear for you.â Mr. Jackson said, âItâs their
fault, girl. Donât take what they said to heart. I never wanted to deal with the Pearsons and Zielinskiesâ
problems, but Winston used to be my student, and Iâd like to help his family if I could.â Leanna smiled.
âThank you, Mr. Jackson.â A servant knocked on the door and told them dinner was ready. Mr. Jackson
stood up. âWell, itâs time for dinner.â Elijah and Leanna followed behind. Elijah whispered, âSorry for not
telling you earlier, Leanna.â He pursed his lips. âI wanted them to apologize to you though.â Leanna
said, âItâs fine. I never expected their apology.â Anna and Sienna could apologize until their tongues fell
off, but it wouldnât work on Leanna. She would feel nothing but disgust.
