Chapter 215
I'm Sorry My Love Novel
Chapter 215 Just a Little Coaxing Will Do Aidanâs eyes darkened. His Adamâs apple bobbed a little.
âThatâs not enough.â Leanna cocked her head to the side as if she was trying to think what would
convey enough sincerity. At the very next second, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed
him. This time, she carefully stuck her tongue out to lick his lips. All at once, Aidanâs hands tightened
around her waist. He reached up one hand to cup her head before deepening the kiss. She was a little
uncomfortable at first. Her lips stung in pain, but since it was their wedding anniversary and she hadnât
prepared a gift, she figured that he was upset. Slowly, she began to respond to his kiss.
She sensed that Aidan was a little different today. He was a lot gentler than usual. It was the kind of
gentleness that intoxicated her. Just then, someone opened the door to the private room. Elijah was
stunned to see the sight in front of him. His fists clenched. After a pause, he turned around and left at
once. When Leanna heard the door closing, she immediately pushed Aidan away. Her face was bright
red as she stammered, âT-Thereâs someoneâ¦â âIgnore them.â He pulled her head near and kissed her
once more. It was much, much later when he finally released her. Leanna was nestled in his arms and
gasped a little. Her fingers gripped his shirt as she asked dazedly, âArenât we going home?â Aidan
stared at her glistening eyes and asked hoarsely, âWhat do you want to do when we get home, hm?â
His stare made her feel a little embarrassed. She looked away. Her heart was about to leap out of her
chest. He smirked and caressed her head. âWe canât today.â This was enough. If he took advantage of
her now, once she sobered up, anger would be a gross understatement of what her reaction would be.
He carried her in his arms and murmured, âIâll take you home.â Leanna hummed in acknowledgment
and grabbed his shirt tightly. She was dozing off by the time they came out of Patheon Club. Aidan
placed her inside the car carefully before instructing, âTurn the temperature up.â âGot it,â Jonathan said.
âPresident Pearson, President Parker has left.â
Aidan acknowledged it with an unconcerned hum. He put his jacket around Leanna and pulled her back
into his arms. Jonathan cleared his throat. âPresident Pearson, what would happen if Mrs. Pearson
finds out about this?â âShe wonât remember anything,â Aidan said. âElijah Parker wonât ask her about it
either.â President Pearsonâs a cunning man indeed. What an underhanded way to deal a blow to his
love rival. âWhere are we going now, President Pearson?â Jonathan asked. Aidan glanced at the
woman in his arms. âSend her home.â âAlright.â âThereâll be some changes happening to the Pearson
Family soon. Instruct more people to keep an eye on them.â âWhat⦠sort of changes?â âGeorgina
Crossley might be getting engaged to Justin,â Aidan stated off-handedly. Jonathan was taken aback.
âHas Mr. Justin agreed to it?â âIt has nothing to do with his wishes. The marriage alliance is merely a
way to solidify the relationship between the Pearson Family and the Crossley Family.â Furthermore, it
was Lloyd Crossley himself who suggested the match. âI will make sure our men keep an eye on them.
Iâll continue to look into the Crossleys as well,â Jonathan said. Aidan didnât say anything else. He had
his arm around Leannaâs shoulder as he remained quiet in thought. ⦠Zoe was in the middle of her
skincare routine when she heard the doorbell ringing. She ran to get it. âLeanna, why are you home so
late? Did that b*sâ¦â Well, if she had her way, she wouldâve continued with, ââ¦tard make things difficult
for you again?â However, Aidan was standing at the doorstep with Leanna in his arms and staring at
her with a straight face. Zoe was mortified. She wanted to dig a hole and die. âWhereâs her room?â he
asked. Zoe retreated robotically and pointed the way. He strode into the house.
Once the room door closed, Zoe gasped and took a deep breath. It felt as if she just had a near-death
experience. In the room. Aidan laid Leanna on the bed and stared at her for a while. Just as he was
about to leave, she reached out and circled her arms around his neck. Her eyes opened, and she
stared at him hazily. âDid I make you mad again?â âHm?â Leannaâs nose was red. âWhy are you
leaving?â she asked aggrievedly. âI wonât leave if you answer a question of mine,â he replied. She
nodded. âDo I treat you well?â She was not expecting that. Leanna averted her eyes in avoidance.
However, he held her by the chin and forced her to have eye contact with him. âAnswer me,â he said.
âYou treat me well sometimes⦠and poorly other timesâ¦â âDo I treat you well or poorly most of the
time?â Again, she didnât want to answer that. Doesnât the b*stard know the answer already? Why does
he keep asking all these? âWhat do I need to do for you to forgive me?â he asked. Leannaâs voice was
very soft. âJust a little coaxing will do.â âReally?â âMm-hmmâ¦â She lowered her eyes. âBut you wonât
coax me. Youâll never do that. All you do is scold me and look at me with disdain. I didnât lie to you. I
didnât try to use the child to force you into anything. If you didnât want the child, I wouldâve just gotten an
abortion. I didnât know they would do thatâ¦â Her eyes were teary. Droplets of tears clung to her lashes.
Aidanâs tone was soft as he attempted to soothe her. âAlright, Iâve got it. Iâm sorry. Itâs all my fault.â Once
Leanna was sound asleep, he kissed her forehead and got up to leave. As soon as he exited the
bedroom, Zoe, who had been standing in wait for quite some time now, gave him a 90-degree bow and
said loudly, âIâm sorry, President Pearson!â Huh? He tugged at his sleeve and responded coolly,
âThereâs no need for you to bow.â Zoe quickly straightened up and asked carefully, âDid Leanna have
too much to drink?â âYes.â His answer only made her even more puzzled. âThatâs weird. She rarely
drinks and would always limit her alcohol intake as well. She has never gotten drunkââ Before she
could finish, a pair of eyes fell upon her. She immediately changed the subject. âDonât worry, President
Pearson. Iâll take good care of her.â
Aidan took a few steps forward before turning around to look at her, but he didnât say anything. Zoe felt
as if she was walking on a tightrope. âI-Is there anything else, President Pearson?â âDonât tell her Iâm
the one who brought her home.â She nodded without the slightest bit of hesitation. âWhat should I tell
her then?â âYou went to Patheon Club to pick her up. She was alone in the room when you arrived.â
âNoted! Will do!â âAre you sure?â he asked. Those three words sent chills down her spine. It was not a
question! It was a threat! âAbsolutely sure! Donât worry, President Pearson. I wonât spill the beans by
accident,â she said with a gulp. Aidan withdrew his gaze and left.
