Chapter 224 Some Advice and Old Saying

Nova nodded. “Alright then. Hot pot! I couldn’t remember the last time I had hot pot!”

“Yeah!” Zona seemed especially excited. “A draw today, but a perfect result! Rory, you can definitely take

over the company now, right?”

Rory beamed and nodded. “Yes. If it weren’t for Nova, I might have trouble taking over the company.

Nova, thank you.

Nova felt Rory’s soulful eyes staring at her, which made her a bit uncomfortable. She looked away and

smiled.

“We’re friends. It’s nothing. Don’t ever say that again.”

Rory showed upset in his eyes. He could sense the stress Nova put on the word “friend“.

Even Viola and Zona felt it.

Viola was also upset. If… Nova is willing to get together with Rory, will Rory feel less upset?

Zona heaved a helpless sigh. Nova still didn’t get over her own sore.

Rory produced a smile. “Yeah, I know.”

Then, everyone remained silent as if Rory’s words summoned silence. And the atmosphere was

somewhat weird.

The chauffeur was dumbfounded. He didn’t understand why they all suddenly became mute.

Meanwhile, Henry was sitting in the back seat of his car with Lan. Lan turned to Henry and said, “You’re

not in the right mood. You two have divorced! Have you fallen in love with her!”

Henry would turn his nose up at Lan when he brought the topic up, and Henry did the same thing this

time.

He cast a cold, silent, and even disdainful glare at Lan.

Lan thought Henry was beyond remedy. He looked at Henry and said, “If you go on like this, you will ruin

yourself sooner or later! Be indecisive when a decision is needed!”

Henry frowned. “Shut up.”

Lan was rendered wordless.

He couldn’t figure out why Henry unreasonably fell in love with Nova. Judging from what happened in the

past, it was impossible for them to get back together. However… Henry didn’t seem to be his usual self

now. He still didn’t realize his feeling for Nova!

The car forwarded steadily. Lan said, “My home is up ahead. Want to have a drink tonight? If not, I’ll get

off directly.”

“Get off.”

Lan darkened his face. “Damn! Can you be more talkative?”

Henry still looked sullen and kept his mouth shut. Lan said, “I rejected a chick tonight to go to that track

in the middle of nowhere with you. And you are still unwilling to talk about your feelings with me. And a

goddamn long face is your thank–you to me?”

Henry finally looked at him coldly. “If you don’t like the girl sincerely, then don’t mess around with her. You

think your playboy lifestyle will deserve the girl you really love?”

“Tut, women are just like clothes. I wear whatever I like, and fuck whomever I like! Besides, aren’t

woman supposed to satisfy us men?”

Henry frowned with apparent disapproval of Lan’s view. But Henry thought persuading this playboy

would be a waste of time.

Lan thought of something and said smilingly to Henry, “If Simon didn’t repeat his guess that you fall in

love with Nova, I wouldn’t have even considered that. Well, since you’re so stubborn, I gotta give you

some advice, as an old saying goes, a good horse never grazes on an old pasture. It would be wise for

you to give up the idea of getting back together with Nova.”
