Chapter 282 Are You Confident?

Nova closed her eyes and leaned against the seat She said at last. “Okay”

She had made up her mind that she would avoid Rory all the time from this day on. He was still an

important friend to her, and she didn’t want to appear too often in front of him as her appearance would

only bring him more hope to be dashed and disappointment to be inflicted.

Rory produced a smile on his handsome face. His eyes were flickering lights of joy. He said softly,

“Thank you, Nova.”

Nova remained silent for a while, and said softly, “Please take me to my office.”

“Okay.”

Rory would follow all her wishes, which rendered Nova mixed feelings.

If I fell in love with Rory in the first place, would I be able to avoid so many heartbreaking moments? So

endure the coldness of Henry?

Nova then headed towards her office without casting Rory another glance. She needed to destroy his

Nova entered her office and slumped into her chair. Stella was absent, perhaps dealing with business.

Looking composed, but actually feeling depressed, she leaned her head against the back of her seat and

closed her eyes.

She idled the day away Zona called her the next early morning. Nova had just finished washing up when

phone ringing.

“Babe, you awake? Do you need me to pick you up? I heard you had a car accident?” Zona sounded

energetic and excited.

Rory must have told Zona about the lawsuit. Zona answered, “Okay. Come over then.”

It would take a few days before her car was completely repaired. She was once again subject to the

inconvenience.

“Yeah. Do you need me to buy you some breakfast? I can get some on my way to your place.” Said Zona

as she took her car

Nova looked at the time and replied, “It’s still early. I’ll make some. You can dine with me.”

“Oh, yeah! Cool! Wait for me! Be there in a quarter!”

Zona lived close to Nova. “Okay.” Nova then hung up and went to prepare breakfast. When everything

was done, knocks wer

Nova opened the door, and Zona came in, sniffing.

“Smells so good! Porridge?”

“Yes.”

Nova had put all the ingredients into the rice cooker last night and set a time to start.

“Wow you’re such a good friend that will satisfy my stomach!”

She sounded excited!

Nova filled a bowl of porridge for her, and asked, “Are you confident about the lawsuit Rory gave you?”
