Everyone present, with baited breath, was worried about Lan. As a firstâclass lawyer, he would suffer
from absolute disgrace if he lost the court case to Nova, a novice who was still wet behind ears.
At long last, Lan hit back at the third point with his rebuttal.
âThirdly, what Miss Bush mentioned does not meet the terms of todayâs appeal, according toâ¦â
Nova raised the corner of her mouth slightly, his rebuttal was kind of farâfetched, alright, letâs just cut him
some slack.
Nova was completely unaware of what kind of glamour she was delivering now and bent on the case
with her undivided

There was still no document on the desk before Novaâs, same as Chester. However once Nova had the
floor the words came in one go, which made her arguments more convincing.

Nova did not stop to give him a respite, but said impassively, âAs regards the defendantâs project, my
client the Don family group has the right to request to take over the project hereafter. At the same time,

âOpposition!â Said Lan.
âDefense attorney, please speak.â
Clenching his fists, Lan had a feeling that lawsuit was doomed to lose.
But he wouldnât cry uncle easily and disgracefully. Then he spoke again, âIn view of the statement of the
plaintiff, my client is willing to give the project to the plaintiff, but further compensation is unacceptable.â
Immediately there followed a string of evidence.
Zona couldnât help inhaling deeply. âThatâs amazing! I donât expect that Nova is such an excellent
lawyer!!â
Stella curled her lips slightly, wordless for Zonaâs insensitivity. Zona should have been the last one who
couldnât see through Novaâs camouflage if she was not such a dull girl.-

damages since they believed that the victory of the Don family group had proven nothing but she had a
smart mouth and fortune was on her side.

Chester smiled faintly. He appreciated Nova, that sort of people who mean business, and the amount of
compensation really delighted him.
Given the fame and competence of Lan, no one rated Nova at all but she surprised them allâ¦
All the points of argument listed by Lan were divided and conquered by her.
