Chapter 339 Through the door, Eliza could hear Casper’s aunt’s rage echoing. It was weird, really. The Welton family had never bothered with Casper before. Did this aunt, who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, not know about Casper’s temperament? Was he the kind of man to be controlled? “Casper, if you’re feeling unwell, I can help you. Why turn to those... unsavory women?” the woman outside said urgently.

Casper glanced at Eliza, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. “She’s calling you unsavory.”

“You...” Eliza wanted to strangle him.

“Alright, you can leave now,” Casper said without any intention of opening the door. He leaned down, gently lifting her in his arms, and with a mix of tenderness and dominance, pinned her on the bed. He moved closer, almost erasing the space between them. “They’re afraid I’ll catch something, but I’m not.”

“Who are you calling diseased?” Her angry eyes, filled with anger, began to mist over, creating a serene and stunningly beautiful landscape in the depths of her gaze, like a tranquil and exquisite painting. The soft orange light bathed her face, enhancing her delicate beauty.

He blinked, his head spinning. He barely knew her, so why did he feel as though they had known each other forever? He lowered his head, aiming to kiss her lips.

Dillon’s forehead twitched. The doctor hadn’t said anything, and he hadn’t asked. It was guesswork... But you couldn’t really guess with this.

“Ms. Caroline, we’ll have to wait until Mr. Casper wakes up to know the specifics.”

Caroline nodded, puzzled. “Who drugged him?”

Dillon wasn’t sure of the details himself. But he knew Casper had gone out with Katie at Mae’s request. It probably had something to do with those two. “Could it have been Katie who drugged him? Today, Mr. Casper only met with her and Aunt Faye.”

“Katie? Aunt Faye’s stepdaughter? Is she out of her mind to drug Casper?” Caroline couldn’t stand women who appeare&fragile but were full of schemes, and she was furious “What is she trying to do? Sleep with Casper? If this leads to a fatality, she can kiss her life goodbye Dillon was only speculating. He needed to investigate to know the exact situation.
