Aria was only a part-time employee at her local Barnes and Nobles bookstore. She didn't like trouble- only did she enjoy the simplicity of helping the young succeed through the art of literature.

The compassionate woman had thought that she was completely settled in life with a job that she loved, a place that she could comfortably call home, and a strong support system of friends and family.

At least, that was the front the woman put up.

She loved being a bookseller a great deal, but when bills hit, the pay just wasn't enough.

Aria had to get paid correctly somehow.

That's where Maeve came in. Maeve and Aria were the same person. Technically. Only that Maeve was Aria's stripper name.

Tsk.

A library nerd by day and an exotic dancer that oozed with sex appeal by night.

It wasn't very professional but it wasn't shameful either. In fact, it was quite ironic at times. It was so easy to control the minds of horny adults with such a basic feeling such as lust. A flash of your cleavage and suddenly a few hundred dollar bills flooded the stage.

Many women in this specific industry all wanted the same thing. To survive. Aria did what she must in order to get by just like all of the other women.

However, Aria slips up one night while trying to pickpocket one of her clients.

Spoiler: It doesn't go as planned.

And what irony must it have been to attempt to steal a mafia leader's wallet.

Memphis Downs and Aria Fabienne kick off their relationship with intensity. Memphis isn't one to take such things with understanding- but boy was Aria a stubborn woman.

A misplaced wallet and an angry mafia leader.
