Chapter 2131
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
Hannahâs eyes suddenly became sharp, and they were full of aggression. It was as if she had been triggered at the mention of Jeremy.
âIt has nothing to do with that, so donât overthink.â Madeline went back to the main topic. âHannah, do you really not know who I am?â
When Madeline asked that, she carefully observed the changes in Hannahâs eyes.
However, Hannah did not show the unnatural demeanor or behavior that Madeline thought she would.
She was just very confused as she looked at Madeline a little bit incomprehensibly.
âSis, youâre my elder sister.â Her tone was affirmative, while her eyes looked weak and innocent. âSis, I only have you now. Please donât abandon me.â
âHannah, I really am notâ¦â
Creak.
As Madeline was explaining, the door of the ward was pushed open.
Jeremyâs tall and lean body instantly appeared in Madelineâs vision.
âJeremy?â Madeline widened her eyes in surprise. â Why are you here?â
Jeremy looked at Madeline with a serious face as he strode in.
âLinnie, what are you doing here alone?â Jeremy looked solemn. He seemed to be worried about Madeline coming to look for Hannah alone. Then, he walked over and took Madelineâs hand. âCome home with me.â
Madeline was on Jeremyâs side but she had a feeling that Jeremy pulling her away at this moment would definitely trigger Hannah.
Sure enough, Hannah suddenly pulled out the IV drip from the back of her hand and rushed toward Madeline.
âLet go of my sister! â Hannah rushed forward and grabbed Madelineâs arm. Then, she glared at Jeremy with furious eyes.
âWho are you? Why are you taking my sister away! Let her go!â Hannah stretched out her hand and tried her best to push Jeremy away.
However, Jeremy turned his hand and pushed Hannah away ruthlessly before pulling Madeline into his arms.
Hannah instantly fell to the floor. After being in a daze due to astonishment for a few seconds, she quickly got up.
As soon as she stood up, she moved to grab Madeline again.
Jeremy saw through Hannahâs intentions and raised his stern eyes that were as cold as an icy dagger.
âDonât get close to my wife anymore.â Jeremy stopped before speaking the words that were as cold as ice. âDonât go around pretending to have lost your memory or to be delirious. Even if youâre sick, Linnie and I are not responsible for taking care of you.
Youâd better behave yourself.â
After Jeremy said that coolly, he grabbed Madelineâs hand and left.
Madeline thought Hannah would chase after them but she did not.
After Jeremy brought Madeline to the car, he began to convince her.
He seemed to be such a noble and frigid man, but he kept chattering all the way back to the house.
âEveline Montgomery, do you remember my words? Donât go and see that person again. Did your sixth sense not tell you that this woman is dangerous? She must have a reason for acting like this, do you understand?â
Madeline listened to Jeremyâs earnest advice and nodded seriously.
âYes, Mr. Whitman, I remember everything you said. Donât worry, I wonât go and meet her alone again.â
Madeline went along with Jeremy, agreeing to everything very obediently.
Jeremy looked at Madelineâs obedient face and raised his hand to caress her head.
Madeline listened to Jeremy and did not go to see Hannah again.
However, she received another call from the hospital saying that Hannah had disappeared without going through the discharge procedures.
Since the nurse had heard Hannah calling Madeline her sister before, the hospital decided to contact Madeline.
After Madeline paid Hannahâs hospital and medical expenses, she went home.
As usual, when Jackson was about to finish school, Madeline drove to pick him up.
When Madeline was waiting at the school gate, she found that her son was very popular with the girls.
