Chapter 2362
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
Naya's mother looked at Naya in surprise and hurriedly reached out to support Naya.
âNaya, slow down. You just woke up. Why are you asking that?â
Naya's mother was puzzled and asked in a low voice, â Could it be that you asked someone to do something to Ava?â
Naya was very vigilant this time. After she confirmed that there were no strange people and things around, she answered in a low voice.
âWhy would I be lying here if I hadnât tried to crash into her?â
âWhat? What do you mean?â Naya's mother was even more astonished. âC-Could it be that you were the one who...â
âYes, I crashed into her on purpose!â Naya's eyes narrowed, and her eyes were full of ruthlessness.
After hearing this answer, Mrs. Mendezâs expression changed. She quickly walked over to close the door of the ward, then asked in disbelief.
âNaya, youâre saying that you drove your car into that car?â
âThat's right.â Naya admitted it very readily, then she asked impatiently, âSo, what's the situation with that b*tch Ava now? Is she dead?â
â..â Naya's mother was speechless for a while. âNaya, are you confused? The person in the car you hit isnât Ava.â
Naya's expression froze instantly. âWhat did you say? Not Ava? Ava was obviously driving that car today! Iâve seen it before. Itâs Eveline's car, and Ava drove Eveline's car to look for Dan!â
âB-But the woman in that car really isnât Ava!â Naya's mother was very sure. When Naya was being resuscitated in the emergency room, she learned the name of the woman who was hit. Plus, that womanâs husband and family members were all here. She had never met those people before, so how could they have anything to do with Ava?
Naya looked dazed for a moment. âAre you sure the person I crashed into isnât Ava?â
âYes!â Nayaâs mother said affirmatively. âHow is that possible. That car is obviously...â
Knock, knock, knock.
The knocking on the door caused Naya to be distracted. Regardless of who it was, she quickly made herself look very weak and leaned on her pillow. She closed her eyes halfway and displayed a very pained expression.
Nayaâs mother glanced at Naya before opening the door.
When she saw that the people at the door were two police officers in uniform, Nayaâs mother unconsciously shifted her gaze with a guilty conscience.
âIs Naya Mendez staying in this ward?â an officer asked.
Nayaâs mother nodded in a panic. âYes, she is. My daughter just woke up. Officers, can I help you with anything?â
âItâs good that sheâs awake. We have some questions we want to ask Miss Mendez about the accident.â
