Unexpected Encounters part 2

Kang's Place~

"Y/N" I looked up when I heard Ms.Choi voice call me out.

"Can you do me a favour?" She asked anxiously.

"I thought I had enough of helping others." I whispered while she still anticipated for an answer.

"There is my friend who is in hospital right now, I just want you to give this to her."

The hospital word made her halt in her movements.

"I can't. " I answered in a flat tone.

"Just this once Y/N, I couldn't visit her whole month because I wanted you to adapt to the surroundings." I close my eyes shut.

"I can't go to the hospital." I stated firmly through gritted teeths.

She doesn't know, it's not her fault.

"Oh...okay...I am sorry for forcing you." Her voice dimmed down at last.

You should always help others of you get a chance because those who help others get all the happiness in the world.

Mother's voice echoed in my head.

You are going to be death of me Eomma.

I thought and sighed.

"I will go." I took the box and fruits she was about to put away.

"You will?" I nodded and took my coat and once again went out but stopped at the doorway.

"Will you tell me which hospital?"

"Oh right! The nearest one." She was in a state of shock that I agreed to her wails.

I moved out in the cold breeze.

I have to face the things either way right? I can't run away from hospitals always.

I looked up the hospital's building, sighing stood in front of the entrance.

"Excuse me." People were annoyed that I wasn't stepping in so I moved out of their way.

I stepped inside and smell of medicines along with  faint smell of phenylalanine reached my nostrils.

I walked in trying to put on the facade I always carry with me.

"Ms.Lee Mi-Hyang" I asked the receptionist and she gave me her room number.

I went to the room and looked through the glass. I saw a woman sleeping on her bed.

She is sleeping, I shouldn't disturb her but what about this?

"What are you doing here?" I heard a deep voice behind me making me scream out of surprise.

He flinched too backing off.

"You!!" We both shouted at the same time pointing finger at each other.

"What are you here for?" He asked in his rather deep voice, wincing at the thought of his face getting hit with a phone.

"I could ask the same thing to your narcissist ass." I crossed my arms.

"Excuse me? You threw a phone at my face."

"Excuse you, I helped you to get your phone back."

"And why are you making it such a big deal?" I questioned lifting my hands up.

"Making big deal? It is a big deal! I was feeling great that time because mother was well and then you threw a ph-"

"What's happening?" We heard a weak voice ask from inside the room and both of us turned to look inside and saw the woman sitting up in her bed looking at through the see through window.

The boy opened the door and went in.

"Sorry Eomma to disturb you, you should go back to sleep."

Eomma?

"Who is the girl?" She asked in her soft voice looking at me.

I think this is my cue to enter. I came in bowed to her and she smiled at me in greeting.

"Ahhh....look how beautiful she is." I bowed once again to show my gratitude towards the compliment as well as to hide my embarrassment.

I get shy when older people sincerely praise me.

"Do you know my mother?" I heard the boy ask raising a brow at me but I ignored him and extended the box and fruits to Ms.Lee.

"Ms.Choi sent these for you." I handed the box to Ms.Lee and put the fruits on her bedside table.

"You can't take things from random people." He tried to grab the box but Ms.Lee smacked his arm before he could do that.

"Ow! Bu-"

"My friend sent me these, you are her daughter right?" She asked looking at me affectionately while my smile faltered a little.

How am I suppose to answer that? Did she told them I am her daughter?

"Y-yes, I am her daughter." My voice came out as a whisper, which I did not intended but couldn't help it either.

Her faltering smile didn't go unnoticed by the black head.

The boy had certain questions running through his mind, why the girl was hesitant while accepting the fact that she was daughter oh his mother's friend but of course he won't ask her, he didn't even know her except for being a sassy helper.

"She told me you will be visiting, it's so nice to meet you....this is my son, Han Seojun." I looked at the boy who was giving me questioning look back.

"I am Kang Y/N."

"Such a Lovely name, which school do you go to?" She asked motioning me to sit beside her.

I obliged and sat down.

"Saebom high."

"Really? My son also goes to same school." She smiled at his son.

"I have never seen you before." Han Seojun spoke up, leaning in.

" I have been there for a month only, I believe I haven't seen you either." I tilted my head.

"Because I was on a break."

Our tone was getting rougher every second passing by, noticing this Ms.Lee spoke up.

"You both should go home, Seojun will walk you home." She said giving me warm smile again.

"No." He once again earned a slap on his arm by his mother.

"There is no need to Ms.Lee, I am fine." I reassure but she shook her head.

"You will drop her home and remember, no bikes." She sternly said to Han Seojun who nodded as obedient boy.

Mother's concern is just adorable.

Ms.Lee patted my cheek pulling me out of my thoughts and I gave her a last smile and went out.

"It was your bike wasn't it?" I asked and I observed his shoulder getting tense.

"What bike?"

"Before you dropped your phone, you were standing beside a motorbike." I reasoned to which he looked at me in a mocking manner, leaning towards my face.

"It could be anyone's bike and stop acting like a spy, trying to expose my doings. Mind your own business." I gave him a sweet smile, mocking him back leaning even more

"We will see about that but for now, drop me home Mr.Han Seojun." I started walking away.

"Yaah!" I once again ignored his shout.

"I can go by my own, I was just kidding that time." I said looking forward knowing well that he heard me.

"I am just following my mom orders and walking late at night is not safe." He put his hands in his leather jacket walking alongside with me.

"Awww, concerned about me?" I asked with mischievous glint in my eyes.

He scoffed.

"I just stated the fact."

"You are totally concerned about me, by the way, are you the stud they talk about a lot?"

"Of course they would talk about me, after all I am popular figure there. " He once again bragged about himself.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yeah whate-" I was cut off by my phone ringing.

I looked at the caller ID and my aura changed drastically.

"Thank you for walking me till here." My voice got monotonous.

"You live in CVS store?" He asked perplexed looking at the store but then he noticed her stiffness.

"Bye." I said and walked away from him while he stood there confused by sudden change in my demeanor.

But then he shrugged thinking it's not his style to pry into other business but still he couldn't get this Kang girl out of his mind.

I picked up the call and greeted the person on the call respectfully.

"Ah....my favourite niece." A gruff voice said from the other side of phone call.

I am your only niece.

"I wanted to check on you and I heard your brother is coming back." Uncle said and I knew what he initially wanted to ask.

"I am doing fine uncle and I hope you are doing good too. Yes, brother is coming in about two days along with grandfather." I kept my voice monotonous.

"Is that so? I am happy that they are coming back. I was thinking of having a family dinner with all of us together."

"I will inform them. Thank you for checking up on me." I thanked and hung up sighing.

I started walking again but then I realised I rudely left Han Seojun.

I get that he is an ass just like Suho but I ain't suppose to be rude to them.

I walk back to the place to find him nowhere. I sighed and went back home.

"I am back home." I announced and got into my room.

Did he really have to sour my mood?It's not like I hate him, just hate the way he treats Soojin, well I hate him.

I was thinking about the call I got from Soojin's father but soon a single thought overcame the others.

I got one of the greatest achievement of all time!!

"I....went...to...the...hospital." I whispered to myself feeling proud. I overcame from one of my past fears.

Well it was only possible because Ms.Choi forced me to wait- was she trying to make me overcome my fears!?

"Is that why she send me? Knowing I will feel comfortable with Ms.Lee but what about daughter thing?" I wondered and sat on my bed.

Another mystery left unsolved.

My mind drifted off to Unexpected Encounters in past few moments.

I met a couple who were doing god knows what, a handsome jerk and a sweet & kind woman.

But overall, it was quite fun.
