Chapter Ten

Maya being mad at me made me feel upset, I have been calling her for hours & nothing Drew isn't even here which I was relieved but I was horny & Maya is ruining that for me.

I decided to go by her house & try to talk to her but I know she is so guarded & I don't want to make her more mad at me.

When I was about to head out the door Drew was standing right there.

"Where are you going?" She asked closing the front door stepping out her heels.

"To get some ice cream I been wanting some" I lied

"Really because I just bought some yesterday"

"You did but not the one I wanted" I said trying to go to the door but she stepped in front of it.

"Drew what is your problem?"

"Nothing go ahead have a good time, I just came home to get some clothes"

"Where are you going ?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Same as you to get Ice Cream" She winked at me & walked away.

I sighed & walked out the door going to Maya's house & calmly knocking on the door.

The door opened & Maya stood there looking like she has been crying

"Baby what's wrong?" I asked trying to touch her but she backed away.

"We can't be together anymore Valerie"

"Why baby let me in" I said

"No listen to me we are done I can deal with the back & forth anymore" She said trying to close the door but I pushed it opened.

"What are you talking about Maya I am sorry about earlier."

"I don't want to be with you Valerie now leave"

"You dont mean that" I shook my head no in disbelief.

"Yes I do I want to find somebody who wants to be with me."

"I want to be with you, I dont believe this" I said starting to cry.

"Go home to Drew, Valerie I am done" She said slamming the door in my face.

I stood there knocking on the door repeatedly but she didn't answer.

I got in my car & broke down completely, I hit my steering wheel wondering why she would do this to me to us.

I love her & nothing will ever change that, Nobody is ever coming between us.

It's been months & things have gotten worse for me, Drew finally got the papers & of course we got into a big argument about it.

She kept accusing me of cheating & I kept denying it but I knew something was up, Jax is still not talking to me which I wanted things back to where they were but I am not giving up on her or our relationship.

"You good over there Val?" Angie asked as we had lunch with a few friends.

"Yeah I am fine"

"Still thinking about that girl huh?" She asked.

"Angie mind your business ok, I am fine I need to use the restroom." I said standing up walking to the bathroom but I bumped into someone knocking my phone out my hand & I quickly picked it up.

"I am sorry" I said & the person looked at me.

"Jax" I said staring at my daughter I haven't seen in months

"Hi" She said sighing deeply.

"How you been?" I asked

"Good ummm I been meaning to text you, Drew told about the Divorce"

"Yeah" I nodded looking down.

"Mom I want to apologize for I acted all those months ago, I just couldn't get over Maya because I had feelings for her."

"Hey that's all in the past" I said shrugging

"Yeah well how is she?"

"Umm I dont know we are together anymore, You haven't seen her?"

"Naw I have been just staying to myself I mean I was upset with her too & honestly I was trying to get with her but I realized it's not worth anymore she loves you"

I gave a small smile, "Well I should go but I hope you two work it out"

"Jax, Maybe we can talk over dinner sometime soon, I miss my daughter"

She nodded with a smirk, "I miss you too mom" We embraced & It felt good talking to my daughter & her not be so angry with me anymore.

I returned home later for some rest but I couldn't sleep Maya was still heavily on my mind & I needed to get back with her but her saying she didn't love me that hurt badly but I knew that wasn't true because I could see it in her eyes.

I dialed her number, "This Is Maya please leave a message at the beep"

I sighed, "Maya you know who this is, listen I love you & I will always love you. I just dont want to end this like this we need to talk about everything please don't shut me out, I know you still love me so please call me back."

I hung up & laid back on my bed wondering if she will even listen to the message or maybe it was just time for me to move on.

Not that I wanted to though..
