Chapter 6

Creatures of the Dark Series

The first task they tackled was cleaning, a suggestion from Colette. The place was a mess, covered in dust and grime. Sorin found it irritating at first, until he saw her on her hands and knees, scrubbing the floor.

He’d always had the cleaning supplies, but never the motivation to use them. Why would he? He was hardly ever there.

He’d owned this cabin for a few years but rarely got the chance to leave the pack’s compound. He had a much cleaner, well-furnished house within the compound. It was designed for sexual purposes, with plenty of surfaces to fuck on.

Colette had swept the entire cabin and started scrubbing the floors soon after. The cabin was already looking much better.

As she bent down to scrub harder, the hem of his shirt rose up. From his angle, he could see a hint of her pussy peeking out from under her round ass.

She must’ve been oblivious. There was no way she’d knowingly let him stare at her pretty, pink folds.

At first, he’d felt guilty about hiding her clothes, but now he was glad he did. He’d been attracted to women before Colette and had his fair share of sexual experiences, but none of them compared to her. It was as if she’d been plucked straight from his fantasies.

After a few hours of cleaning, some of it in separate rooms, which Sorin didn’t like, they were finally done. Sorin could tell that Colette wasn’t the type to lounge around. She needed to be doing something.

She sat on the clean wooden floor, looking a bit lost. “What do we do now? It’s your cabin.”

He nodded, understanding her point. “I have a closet full of stuff we can sort through,” he suggested.

She shrugged and followed him to his bedroom. She sat on the bed while he opened the closet and started rummaging through the pile of random items. “Sorry,” he apologized. “I’m never here.”

Feeling cold, Colette crawled under his comforter, immediately surrounded by Sorin’s scent. He smelled good, but unusual for a man. Citrusy, like oranges and lemons, with a hint of something woodsy.

“Where are you usually?” she asked, pulling the comforter up to her nose to breathe in his scent.

He seemed to hesitate before answering. “I usually stay deeper in the mountains with my family.”

~Family.~ The way he said it sounded odd, like it wasn’t quite the right word.

Whatever. Colette snuggled deeper into his bed as he continued sorting through his things. Judging by the state of his closet, it was probably the first time he’d done so.

While she didn’t particularly like Sorin, she definitely liked his scent. Her pussy pulsed as if trying to milk nothing just from the scent.

She blushed as she felt moisture seeping from her lower lips, a clear sign of her arousal. Now she regretted getting into his bed on her own.

She pulled the blanket tighter around her, hoping he wouldn’t try to pull it back. He’d see the wet spot soaking his sheets. The thought was mortifying.

She suddenly realized he was talking to her and quickly turned her head towards him. “What did you say?” she asked. Her voice was breathy. Too breathy. It was obvious she was turned on.

Sorin’s eyebrows furrowed in concern. “What’s wrong? You’re flushed.” He moved around the bed to her side and pressed the back of his hand to her forehead. “You’re burning up.”

Colette panicked and squeezed her legs together. “I’m fine,” she lied.

He didn’t look convinced but nodded. “If you feel weak or sick, let me know. I can fix it.”

She had an ache in her lower belly and knew that he could fix it, but at what cost? “Absolutely,” she agreed.

He returned to the other side of the bed to the closet. “I’ve got plenty of paper and pens. An old CD boom box. Puzzles, for some reason. Cards.” He glanced over his shoulder at her. “Anything sound good?”

She nodded. “Anything. Um, do you have ~any~ pants that I could wear?”

Sorin frowned as he got her a pair of drawstring sweatpants, knowing he wouldn’t be able to sneak a peek at her pussy. Which was a problem, as the small glimpses were keeping his raging desire in check.

“I’ll take some stuff out to the living room while you get dressed,” he said, grabbing a few things before making a quick exit.

Colette came out a little later, wearing his pants as well. Which, unfortunately, stirred up his possessiveness. “Sorry I took so long,” she apologized, taking a seat on the floor next to him.

“No problem.” He tried to sound calm and normal, but his voice came out hoarse. “I have a one-thousand-piece puzzle of several tigers—” He pointed to the box. “—a deck of cards that may or may not have all fifty-two cards, and a huge stack of paper.”

Colette picked up his boom box and inspected it. “Does it only plug into the wall?” she asked.

He shook his head. “It’s also battery powered, but I haven’t used it in… I don’t know, ten years?”

That didn’t sound promising. She turned the knob and a little red light turned on. She pressed the eject button and waited.

Slowly, a disk came out. Colette inspected it, nodded, and pushed it back in. They waited anxiously for a few seconds before music started playing.

Colette almost cheered, setting the boom box down on the floor beside them before opening the puzzle box.

“Have you ever successfully put it together?” she asked nervously, looking at all the pieces.

He shook his head. “I think I got it as a gift from my grandma, to be honest. I don’t think I’ve even tried.”

They started with the border, each sitting at the bottom of the puzzle so they could see it. Colette was acutely aware of Sorin’s body heat and his citrusy scent. If she leaned just a little, she’d be pressed up against his chest. Which reminded her.

“Sorin,” she said, looking up at him.

He immediately looked over, leaning in too close for comfort. “Yes, my love,” he purred back, reaching up a hand to brush her ebony hair out of her eye.

She swallowed hard. “Don’t call me that.” Her words were meant to sound commanding, but they came out more like a plea.

“Whatever you wish, ~Colette.~” He said her name in a way that was undeniably sexy. A tongue she’d experienced firsthand, even if it was just a fleeting touch.

“You haven’t changed your bandages since I put them on. They need to be changed, or you’ll risk an infection. We can take a break from the puzzle and change them right now.”

He nodded in agreement.
