No Chance Of Remarriage: Get Lost Chapter 126
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 126 Iâll Never Forgive Them Elisa rang the doorbell.
The butler opened the door. He smiled when he saw that she was still the same as when they had met before.
âWelcome, Ms. Benett.â He felt awkward not addressing her as Ms. Elisa.
Elisa, on the other hand, was content with it. She smiled and nodded. âHello, Mr. Jones.â
He moved to the side as Elisa entered, holding a present.
Julia was waiting on the sofa. When she heard their voices, she called out, âElisa, come here quickly. We agreed to meet for one and a half hours, and you came exactly on the dot. You could have come earlier!â
Elisa changed into indoor slippers. âThere was a traffic jam on the way here.â She smiled as she stepped closer to Julia.
âCome and sit, quickly!â
Julia let Elisa sit next to her on the sofa.
Julia observed Elisa attentively. When she was satisfied that Elisa was the same as before, she sighed in relief. She was worried that Elisa would be dispirited and have her daily life disrupted.
âGrandma, Iâm sorry that I havenât seen you in a while. Even tomorrowâs...â
âWhat about tomorrow? Youâve always come to my birthday celebration for the last few years. Why? You canât come tomorrow?
Are you disowning me as your grandma?â
Elisa shook her head. âHow could I? Grandma, donât take it the wrong way. Itâs only because of what happened recently. It would be awkward if I came. I...â
âWhat do you mean, awkward? Itâs not a problem! You are my granddaughter. I wonât let them go if they say a word against you!â
Julia interrupted Elisa, just as she always did.
Julia was displeased by Elisaâs words. How could those people treat her granddaughter like so!
Elisa blinked a few times. âGrandma...â
She didnât know what to say. She had made up her mind before she came and even brought Juliaâs present along.
Julia read Elisaâs thoughts as her eyes strayed to the present.
As Elisa handed the present to Julia, Julia said, âI donât care. If youâre not giving me my present during the celebration, I will not take it! You might as well just disown me!â
âGrandma, how could I disown you?â Elisa said, taken aback.
Julia continued. âElisa, you are my one and only granddaughter. I just want you to accompany me during the party. Are you really not coming? Then Iâll just cancel it.â
Julia adored Elisa. She was used to having Elisaâs accompaniment every year. Now that Elisa said she wouldnât be coming, Julia felt dejected.
Elisa drew a breath. She couldnât refuse her any longer.
She hesitated and nodded. âIâll come tomorrow.â
Julia beamed, and the disappointment in her face vanished. She pulled Elisaâs hand excitedly. âIâve always known that youâre the most caring of them all! Donât worry. If anyone of them dares to say a word against you, Iâll never forgive them!â
Elisa was moved. She knew Grandma would react in this way.
But...
If she showed up at the party, it would be uncomfortable for everyone. She was worried that Grandma wouldnât have a pleasant time.
As she was contemplating, the door opened.
