No Chance Of Remarriage: Get Lost Chapter 374
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 374 Her Ploy Gareth had a video conference next. Elisa went back to her room with the plans.
Thomas sent a message to Elisa about the events of the morning.
She spent the entire afternoon pouring over the plan, wondering how to get things straight with the design team.
At night, Gareth ate dinner with her as usual.
Elisa noticed that he was restless but continued eating without any concern.
Unexpectedly, Garethâs phone rang again.
It was Linda.
She smiled as he furrowed his brows. âIsnât she your savior as well as your girlfriend? Isnât it bad to not pick up the call?â
He shot daggers at her mocking smile and snorted. âWho said I wasnât going to pick it up?â
The smile on her face turned even more cynical. âI was just saying.â
It sounded like she was provoking him.
He sneered and picked up the call.
Lindaâs gentle and caring voice came through before he could say a word. âGarry, have you eaten?â
âIâm eating now.â
Linda was surprised. âWhat a coincidence. Howâs work today?â
He gave Elisa a cold look and was about to reply when Elisa spoke up with a smile. âMr. Wickam, you shouldnât be using your phone during mealtimes, let alone making a phone call. How can my dear cousin forget her principles?â
Linda was stunned.
Elisa! Itâs Elisa!
She knew she wasnât wrong. There was a taunting laugh yesterday. It must have been Elisaâs laugh! She must be having dinner with Gareth.
She immediately forgot the explanation with Gareth earlier and couldnât help but ask. âElisa? Are you there too?â
âYeah, I have to work with Mr. Wickam every single day. Itâs exhausting.â
She was implying that they were joined at the hip the entire time.
Wench! This wench!
Linda was at a loss for words.
Gareth narrowed his eyes. He wasnât angry at Elisa but was curious about her schemes.
He looked at her icily and scoffed. âYou, who do you think you are?â
Those words were directed at Elisa.
Linda felt like she was redeemed. She was about to defend Elisa when Elisa laughed. âThat wasnât what you said when you forcibly spread my legs yesterday, Mr. Wickam.â
He did that to treat her injury.
Garethâs expression became frostier.
Linda widened her eyes. Her breath quickened.
She gripped the phone tighter as her voice became shrill. âElisa, what are you saying?â
Elisa chuckled. âI think you understand what Iâm saying, Linda. But Mr. Wickam doesnât like talking during mealtimes. Shouldnât you, as a girlfriend, be more mindful?â
âElisa, you...â
Linda couldnât hold her temper back any longer. âGarry, is it true?â
He kept silent.
Elisa watched him curiously. He didnât look like he was furious, not even the tiniest bit.
Shouldnât he be outraged by my taunts? Or is this just the calm before the storm?
She broke out in a smile. It didnât matter to her. She wasnât just trying to vent her anger when she interrupted them. It was all part of her ploy.
