No Chance Of Remarriage: Get Lost Chapter 56
Honey We Are Not Getting Remarried: Get Away From Me!
Chapter 56 Donât Hold It Against Her Elisa got up and looked at Gareth. With a smile, she said, âGood bye, Mr. Wickam.â
She sounded slightly wistful, as though they were never to meet again.
Nevertheless, he merely let out a cold snort and walked away without sparing her a second glance.
But...
As soon as he walked out of the building, he immediately came to a sudden halt, making Elisa almost bump into him.
When she raised her head, she saw Will leaning against the wall, waiting for her with both his hands in his pockets.
Why is he here? Her eyes flickered.
He smiled at Gareth. âHi again, Mr. Wickam.â
Garethâs face darkened even further as he returned a frosty stare. âMr. Darcey, itâs quite windy today â do take care.â
It was a clear reminder to him, but Will did not seem to mind at all.
âDonât worry about it â my body is quite strong and healthy.â
After giving him another cold smile, Gareth left.
Willâs gaze shifted to Elisa. âCongratulations on becoming single again,â he said with a loving look in his eyes.
Elisaâs eyes flickered slightly as she placed the divorce statement into her bag. âThanks.â
She knew that Will was here to add fuel to fire.
Of course he was relieved she had finally divorced him, but he also wanted to annoy Gareth.
If his opponent was living a good life, it would be considered a disrespect to himself.
âWhat would you like to eat?â he asked, walking closer to Elisa.
She shook her head. âI ate before I came out just now, but thanks for asking, Mr. Darcey.â
Upon hearing her reply, he arched his eyebrows, but he did not force his intentions upon her. Instead, he asked gently, âAre you going home? I can give you a lift.â
She pursed her lips. Just as she was about to reject him, he had already grabbed her wrist and shoved her into the front seat of his car.
Seeing that she still attempted to get out, he blocked her with a smile on his face. âYou donât have to feel pressured when youâre with me. I wonât use you for my own benefit; even if I do, thereâs genuine feelings behind that as well.â
She smiled. âWhat a joke, Mr. Darcey.â
Genuine feelings are the most worthless thing in the world. After the past three years, Iâve finally understood that I would rather believe in anything else apart from love. Perhaps others might find true love, but these two words wonât happen to me ever again.
Since she no longer had the intention to get out of the car, Will closed the door and went to the driverâs seat.
âWhere are we going?â
He turned on the engine, shifted the gear, and started driving.
Elisa was about to ask some further questions, but her phone suddenly rang.
Her eyes flickered with uncertainty when she saw that the caller was Julia, but after some hesitation, she finally picked it up.
âGrandma.â
âElisa, both of youââ
âWeâre divorced.â She pursed her lips.
âOh...â Julia could not help sighing. âWell, itâs for the better, so you wonât be spending your time in pain. Donât worry â I will find the best guy for you, who is a hundred times better than Gareth! I will find a man who would love his wife.â
Elisa burst out laughing. âItâs okay, Grandma. I donât have any intentions of that sort right now. You donât have to worry about me.â
However, as soon as she finished speaking, she suddenly heard Monicaâs loud yell. âWhat? Elisa divorced you?â
From her tone, it seemed like she was in a call with Gareth.
Julia quickly covered the earpiece and explained exasperatedly, âElisa, I know that you have suffered a lot because of this, but Monicaâs temperament is just like this. Donât hold it against her.â
While speaking, Elisa could hear that Julia was walking away, and she guessed that the latter was either walking to the washroom or back to her room.
When she heard what Julia told her right after that, she felt less guilty about the divorce.
