Vincent could tell that Gareth was about to lose it, so he quickly asked, “Why are you here? I don’t see much interaction between both of you beforehand. Are you going to discuss a new project together?”

Nicole smiled. “If so, I would have booked a private room. I didn’t have a lot of opportunities to get to know Ms. Benett before this. In fact, I quite admire her.”

Like Gareth, Nicole would eventually take over her family business, Tabor Group, which was on the same footing as Wickam Group. The way she said it made her seem superior and demeaning to Elisa.

She merely ‘admired’ Elisa. It was different from liking Elisa and wanting to be friends with her. She was not a hypocrite; she just wanted to lift Elisa up and had the authority to do that because of her background.

One couldn’t tell that she was putting Elisa down from the natural smile on her face.

Nevertheless, Elisa smirked and ignored her.

She no longer wanted to be with Gareth. They were nothing more than colleagues at that point. Hence, she was not concerned with Gareth’s romantic relationships, let alone Nicole’s feelings toward him.

Vincent guffawed loudly. “Elisa, you are such a weird person,” he commented with ease.

Elisa looked at him in confusion. “Weird?”

“Yeah. Look at you – after you divorced Gareth, you were revealed to be the famous Iris, stealing my limelight.”

Elisa frowned, but Vincent snorted and continued, “That’s not all. Then, you appeared as Wisteria to spite me. Do you really want to destroy my pride?”

Nicole froze after hearing that. “Wisteria?”

Vincent huffed angrily, “Yeah! Didn’t you know? She’s Wisteria!”

Elisa’s brows were tightly knitted together. “Aren’t you hungry?”

“Yes, but I’m also annoyed that I keep losing to you! When would you teach me, master? How should I address you? Master Iris, Master Wisteria, or Master Susan?”

Upon hearing that, Elisa’s frown deepened while Nicole blanched.

He’s doing this on purpose to support Elisa!

Because of Nicole’s lofty and disparaging remark just now, he revealed all of Elisa’s hidden identities.

The most tremendous difference was her family background, yet Elisa was multi-talented.

Nicole was reluctant to concede defeat. Elisa might be capable, but I bet she can’t manage a company well. No matter how impressive her proposal is, it’s just luck! Gareth and I belong together – we’re from the same world!

She clenched her fists under the table but quickly let them go for fear of being discovered.

Elisa glanced at Vincent before saying, “Eat your food.”

“Yes, master!”

“Don’t call me that!” She frowned. Other people get assistants, but I get this annoying fellow instead!
