It was six in the evening when we returned to the hotel and met up with Noah, who had just finished his meeting with Nicolas as well. Well, not just with Nicolas, but Sebastian, too. Noah looked beat and overworked, as one normally would when sitting in a meeting room and discussing about marketing strategy all day. Although he looked ecstatic as well. It seemed whatever had happened turned out good.

The five of us ended up dining in one of the restaurants in the hotel, and Aiden asked Nicolas and Sebastian a lot of questions about running hotels and that related arena.

“So you’re going to become a CEO of a resort and onsen in Japan?” Nicolas asked. “Wow! Good for you.”

Aiden said, “I do have experience in running a business, but the field is completely different, so I’m both nervous and excited at the same time.”

“Understandable,” Nicolas said. “I had no experience before I took over from Dad either. The first few years were tough. Dad and Grandpa are my mentors. I also have a lot of help from the staff at the group as well, so I’m grateful.”

Sebastian suggested, “Since you’re coming over for lunch on Saturday, why not ask Dad to be your mentor? I mean Nicolas and I are also willing to help and give you advice. All you have to do is give us a shout.”

Wow, both Nicolas and Sebastian were so nice to offer their help to Aiden, who looked pleased at that idea.

“Thanks,” Aiden said. “That means a lot to me.”

“No worries,” Nicolas said. Turning to me, the man chuckled. “So you’re an heir to an empire, huh?”

I felt my cheeks turning hot in embarrassment. “You make it sound like it’s more extravagant than it actually is,” I said.

“But a resort and onsen is a pretty big deal, isn’t it? Once you’ve got one running with a solid revenue, it’ll be time to branch out and expand. You can always turn it into a chain of sorts,” Sebastian said.

Aiden nodded, and so did Noah.

I could only stare at them. The two were already thinking that far ahead? Expanding the resort and onsen when we hadn’t even taken over and started running the place yet?

Noah chuckled when he saw the look on my face. He ruffled my hair. “Don’t look so freaked out, Haru. We’ll take it one step at a time.”

I sighed. “Please do that,” I said. I didn’t want everything to crumble even before we started, after all. It’ll only break Uncle Jin’s heart since he had put so much work into building the place up.

Dinner was divine, as usual, and by the time we parted with the Princeton brothers, it was well past ten at night. I had no idea those four could talk so much. Of course, I enjoyed the Princeton brothers’ company and the conversation. Not to mention I had learned quite a bit from Nicolas and Sebastian about how to run a hotel empire. No wonder those professors at the university always advise us students to find a mentor if we were out in the big wide world after graduation. Just getting advice from those who had done it before, failed, learned the harsh lessons, tried again, and then succeeded helped us newbies avoid making the same mistakes.

In the elevator, Noah said, “Finally, a four-day vacation.”

“The others will be arriving tomorrow, so that’s going to be fun,” I said. “Can’t wait to check out that cottage. Sakura said it’s a really nice place.”

Noah made a face as he said, “And we’ll be squeezing everyone in again. There’ll be no room for privacy; that’s for sure.”

Aiden chuckled. “Unfortunately, no.”

The door dinged open on the thirty-seventh floor, and Noah walked out.

“Night, Noah,” I said.

“Good night,” Noah replied, a sour expression still displayed on his face.

Once the door shut, Aiden cracked up smiling. I tilted my head to one side, wondering what he found so amusing.

In our room on the thirty-ninth floor, Aiden asked, “You want to take a shower first?”

I nodded. “Yep. Feels so stuffy.”

I was in the shower not long after that and enjoying the hot water pounding down on me. After thoroughly washing my hair and cleansing my body with a nice smelling shower gel, I got out and put on my pajamas. When I was back in the bedroom, Aiden was on the phone, and the moment he saw me, he stopped short in mid-sentence.

I asked, “Mason?”

He nodded. Clearing his throat, he said, “We were just talking about tomorrow.” He returned his attention to the phone, and moments later, he ended the call.

I eyed him, wondering why he behaved a little odd moments ago when I had come out of the bathroom. Had he been talking to Mason about something I shouldn’t hear?

I shrugged my shoulders. If so, it was none of my business, I guess. I didn’t want to pry into something Aiden didn’t want me to know if it didn’t affect me directly.

Aiden went into the bathroom, saying, “I’ll just take a shower.”

“Mm-hmm,” I responded, reaching for the television remote control.

While I watched a night program, I heard the shower going. I was about to doze off when Aiden opened the door, looking fresh and alert and damn hot wearing only sleeping pants and nothing to cover his torso. I was fully awake suddenly. Damn!

He chuckled, watching me as he rubbed a towel about his head, drying his hair. Once done, he didn’t brush it, just stroked his fingers sexily through the strands from the front to the back. Fuck, but he looked like a sexy model in a television commercial.

I shrugged my shoulders. “I’m okay with it if you are. I mean...” I trailed off, wondering how I should phrase it. I didn’t want to hurt either of the brothers’ feelings when it came to sharing me, and... Fuck! This was hard.

Aiden’s chuckling drew my attention to him, and I asked, “What?”

The man climbed onto the bed and then pulled me into his arms. “Don’t look so troubled. Let’s just take our time and enjoy this, why don’t we?”

I raised my brows. “This? As in our poly relationship or... Sex?”
