chapter 9
Unmarried Mother
Next day it was monday we again started to live our nornal life, we never discussed about that day but Adwiti was very desperate to invite him for dinner and always praised him by saying how awesome he was but Aarav used to nag her by saying "He is not that good, mom is always awesome". I understood Adwiti's feelings as a kid who doesn't have a father wanted a superhero, as for Aarav may be he was also thinking same but he was very mature and good at hiding feelings. For Adwiti we decided to invite Aditya Roy and his secretary on Saturday for dinner. I let Adwiti and Aarav with sudha on Friday evening to invite Aditya Roy. I was not that comfortable but for my kids I did it. Then finally Saturday evening came and we prepared many items for guests and Adwiti was very excited to meet him. At 7 o'clock our calling bell rang, Sudha invited the guests but I never wanted to left kitchen. But after five minutes Sudha came and said that if I was that uncomfortable, then why did I invite them! It would be very rude if I didn't attend them. So finally I gathered my energy and went infront of them they were sitting on the sofa and Adwiti was sitting on his lap and Aarav was sitting beside him, and his secretary was sitting on another sofa. When I went infront of them before I could say anything Aditya said " Ah! Smriti it's really very nice to meet you again, I never thought your kids are so cute, come yaar and join us ", I never expected these types of words from him. I was surprised that he was smiling with my kids and even normally behaving with me. So I thought it's good, and somehow I feel relaxed. I also joined them. After a while Aarav took him to his room and those three played video games and I gave him some snacks and juice, and asked "Is it okay for you to come here, after all you are a busy person?" He replied " offcourse not after all I waited for this day for many years". By saying this he gave a sarcastic smile. By hearing this I ran towards to kitchen and thought " Is everything going to okay!".
