They didn’t know what the person on the other end of the phone had said, but the creative director was looking more and more distraught.

After hanging up the phone, he looked at Shi Sui and Xiang Yi with a forced smile that looked exceptionally awful.

“I’m afraid we have to make changes to our shooting plan.”

Xiang Yi asked, “Did something crop up?”

The creative director sighed and said, “In fact, we’re not in charge of the direct communication with the owner of this castle. We rented it through an agency.”

“Just now, the agent said that the viscount has tasted some Chinese dishes at the recent food festival and felt that they tasted horrible so he posted a slew of statements on his social media account to criticize Chinese food. He heard that the castle was rented to a Chinese person so…”

Xiang Yi was bewildered. Even in the previous worlds that she had transmigrated to, the Westerners were very receptive to Chinese food.

She asked curiously, “What food did he eat?”

The creative director searched for the viscount’s social media account and showed it to Xiang Yi.

Xiang Yi glanced at his posts with raised brows and discussed with Shi Sui, “It seems that this viscount is a gourmet.”

All his stories and posts were related to food.

The food pictures that he took were beautiful, and his captions were written very tastefully.

He would sing praises about the food that he enjoyed, describing them with exaggerated phrases like “the ambrosial goodness bestowed by God”, “prepared by a chef whose hands have been kissed by the deities”, “the gift of nature” and many others.

On the other hand, if he found the food to be horrible, he would criticize it ruthlessly using nasty and sarcastic remarks like “the food is so bad that it tastes like stinky wet socks that have been drenched in the rain”, “I can barely stomach it, the best part of the meal turned out to be the lemonade”, and “I bet even a husky can whip up a better meal” which were shrewd and no holds barred.

His wealth was precisely the reason that his critic reviews were guaranteed to be absolutely impartial. Besides, he was extremely fussy and picky with his food, thus he was a famous gourmet who had garnered countless fans.

Many restaurants had a love-hate relationship with him. They liked that a single good review from him could attract a large crowd of customers, but, similarly, they hated that some criticism from him would cause their business to plummet.

When Xiang Yi saw his scornful remarks and critical comments, her beautiful eyebrows furrowed into a frown.

“These… are at most modified dishes, right?”

Shi Sui said, “They seem to be awful dishes made of weird combinations of food.”

‘That’s an understatement.’

‘It’s like food prepared by a devil.’

The combinations of ingredients were absolutely bizarre and as revolting as peppers paired with ice cream would be.

The creative director’s spirits were dampened as he froze in place, no longer motivated to fight for a chance to shoot in the castle. However, he suddenly heard Xiang Yi ask in a warm voice, “Can you contact the viscount? I think we can try convincing him.”

The creative director smiled bitterly and said, “This matter is not something that can be settled just with some effort. The viscount has an eccentric personality, and nothing will please him except for top-notch food…”

Xiang Yi said seriously, “I want to give him a real taste of authentic Chinese cuisine.”

The creative director hesitated before asking, “Do you know any Michelin chefs? If you do, we might have a chance…”

Xiang Yi shook her head and said, “I don’t know any Michelin chefs, but I know how to cook.”

The creative director was disappointed, but he couldn’t bring himself to turn down Xiang Yi, the adorable beauty. Hence, he had no choice but to fake a smile and say, “I can try to contact him.”

Shi Sui found a clip of “Two Under One Roof” in which Xiang Yi was cooking up a feast of delectable dishes.

Out of courtesy, the creative director played the video…

The creative director exclaimed in shock, “Oh God! It’s so interesting! Let me watch it again! Let me watch it once more!”
