Chapter 366
The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage
Zeb was left seeing stars from Tidusâ slap.
He was certainly fuming, but he had to hold his tongue as he glanced at Wes, who stood right beside Tidus.
Dee was actually furious too. âWhat?! You tricked me! Sir, he lied to me!â
âShut it.â Tidus shot Dee a glare, and he promptly kept quiet.
Zeb then stammered, âItâs all my fault⦠Itâs just a misunderstanding, so letâs just forget about it.
âForget about it?â Tidus asked icily. âAfter you slandered my friend? Apologize!â
âWhat?â Zeb was stunned. âMe, apologize?!â
He was the heir of a rich family and owned a company! It made no sense for him to apologize to some gigolo!
âDo you have something to say about that?â Tidus barked.
At the same time, Wes started to walk toward Zeb.
Zeb was left gritting his teethâit was certainly going to be either an apology or a painful beating!
âNâNothing,â he said, bracing himself as he walked up to Frank and muttered unhappily, âS- Sorry.â
Frank chuckled coolly. âWhat was that?â
âDonât push it, Frank!â Zeb glared at him.
âReally? And is that how you apologize?â Frank shrugged. âLouder.
Zeb hissed, âSorry.â
âSorry, who?â Frank asked on purpose.
Motherfucker!
Zeb to bear with it, though he could choke. âIâm sorry, Frank. Iâve accused you wrongly- please donât take it to heart.â
Frank nodded in satisfaction. âNow, thatâs better.â
Zeb sighed in relief before turning toward Tidus with a smile. âSir, I can go now, yes?â
âYeah. Mess with my friend again, and youâre dead,â Tidus snarled viciously.
Zeb certainly was not going to linger another moment as he squeezed his way through the crowdâit had been a disgraceful day for him!
Dee tried to run too, but Frank quickly stopped him. âHold it.â
âOhâ¦â Dee quickly smiled. âSorry, sir. But that really wasnât my fault⦠I didnât know that bastard was slandering you. Iâll beat him up if I ever see him again!â
However, Frank said, âDonât let me see you in this bazaar ever again.â
âWhat?â
âWhat do you mean, âwhatâ? You have a problem with this?â Frank glared at him in disdain.
âNo, noâ¦â Dee muttered.
Tidus turned to Wes at the same time. âArrange for some security to watch the bazaar. If anyone demands protection money, arrest them right away.â
âYes, Mr. Simmons.â
Dee gulped and fled with his goons even as he realized he had lost his source of income.
The stall owners were certainly thrilled and awash with gratitudeâFrank had really chased Dee away!
Tidus approached Frank just then. âAre you alright, Mr. Lawrence?â
Frank waved him off. âOf course. What could a bunch of small fries do to me anyway?â
âTidus nodded repeatedly. âOh, were you here to get some antiques? I know a thing or two about them myself. Perhaps I could help you look?â
Frankâs abilities went without saying, and given how close he was to the Turnbulls at the moment, Tidus was eager to further strengthen their relationship.
