Chapter 60: Forever Pierre

Beyond the Spotlight

The weeks leading up to their wedding day were a whirlwind of activity, but Kimberly and Aaron managed to navigate every detail together. Kimberly, ever the organized planner, had her checklist for everything—florals, venue, catering, and guest lists. Aaron, who initially believed wedding planning was just “picking colors and cake,” quickly realized the effort behind every decision and eagerly jumped in to help wherever he could.

“I had no idea there were this many shades of white,” Aaron groaned, holding up swatches for Kimberly’s approval.

“Welcome to my world,” Kimberly teased, snatching the fabric from his hand. “And for the record, we’re going with ivory, not white. It complements the floral arrangements better.”

Aaron smirked and pulled her close, planting a kiss on her forehead. “Whatever makes my bride happy.”

Their wedding planner, Veronica, had worked tirelessly alongside Kimberly to ensure everything was perfect. The couple had chosen an outdoor garden venue adorned with blooming hydrangeas, roses, and wisteria. The ceremony was set for early evening, with twinkling string lights creating a magical atmosphere as the sun dipped below the horizon.

---

The day arrived faster than either of them expected. Kimberly woke up to the sound of her bridesmaids—Kehlani, Alisha, and a few close friends—buzzing around the bridal suite, helping her get ready. Her dress, an elegant white gown, hung near the window.

“You’re glowing, Kim,” Kehlani said, adjusting Kimberly’s veil. “Aaron’s going to lose his mind when he sees you.”

Kimberly smiled, her stomach flipping with excitement and nerves. “I just want everything to go smoothly.”

“It will,” Alisha assured her. “You and my brother were made for each other.”

Meanwhile, Aaron was in another suite with Calvin and Kelvin. Dressed in a sharp black tuxedo jacket with black lapels and matching black slacks, he adjusted his cufflinks nervously.

“You’re a lucky man,” Kelvin said, patting Aaron on the shoulder. “Kim’s one of a kind.”

Aaron nodded, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “I know. I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with her.”

---

As Kimberly walked down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her father, Aaron felt his breath hitch. She was stunning, her radiant smile lighting up the evening.

Kimberly locked eyes with Aaron and felt a wave of calm wash over her. This moment, surrounded by their closest family and friends, was everything she had dreamed of.

The vows they exchanged were heartfelt and personal. Aaron spoke of how Kimberly had brought balance and purpose into his life, while Kimberly promised to stand by his side through every high and low.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the officiant announced. “You may kiss your bride.”

Aaron didn’t hesitate, pulling Kimberly close and kissing her deeply as their guests erupted in applause.

---

The reception was a lively celebration of love. The couple’s first dance was to "At Last" by Etta James, a song Aaron had chosen to symbolize how he felt when Kimberly came into his life.

“To the new Mr. and Mrs. Pierre!” Calvin toasted, raising his glass. “Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, love, and maybe a little peace and quiet for Aaron now that Kim’s keeping him in line.”

Laughter filled the room, and the night continued with dancing, heartfelt speeches, and a stunning three-tiered wedding cake adorned with fresh flowers.

---

The morning after the wedding, Aaron and Kimberly boarded a private flight to the Maldives for their honeymoon.

“This is paradise,” Kimberly whispered as she gazed at the crystal-clear water and white sandy beaches.

Aaron wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. “It’s beautiful, but not as beautiful as you.”

The couple spent their days exploring the islands, snorkeling, and enjoying romantic dinners under the stars. It was the perfect start to their new chapter as husband and wife.

---

As they sat on the balcony of their overwater villa on their last night, Kimberly leaned her head on Aaron’s shoulder.

“Do you think we’ll ever come back here?” she asked softly.

“Definitely,” Aaron said, kissing her temple. “But wherever you are, Kim, that’s home for me.”

Kimberly smiled, her heart full. “Forever Pierre.”

And with that, their journey together truly began.
