25: Late

"No huh." Rayna laughed hitting Ari's shoulder.

"This give me Deja Vu to that day we was coming from the park."

"How?"

"You was laughing hitting folks, you always doing that."

They kept joking around and Ari randomly stopped and went to the bathroom.

"Do you have pads?" She asked Rayna.

"Yessir, my mama buy them every 1st of them month."

Rayna walked to where she kept her pads and froze. "It's the end of the month... why the fuck haven't I used them." She mumbled to herself bringing Ari a pad.

She quickly pulled up her period tracker and realized she was 3 weeks late.

"Can you bring me my bag?" Ari asked turning off the shower, Rayna forced herself up to go get the bag.

"Can you come to CVS with me when you finish." She asked her closing the door back so she could get dressed.

"Sure, why?"

"I'm 3 weeks late."

Ari quickly put her clothes on and rushed out the door. "Come on we gotta sneak, it's like 10 at night." Ari whispered putting on her shoes. Rayna quickly followed putting on some slides and throwing on some sweats.

The two of them crept down the stairs being as quiet as possible. As soon as Rayna grabbed her keys Ryan closed the fridge door and spotted them.

"The hell y'all doing."

"Going get some food, ain't nothing to eat in this bitch." Rayna lied.

"You right, where y'all going?"

"Canes."

"Bet not be lying. Bring me back a box combo and I won't tell your mama bout this. If y'all get caught ima act like ian see shit."

"Bet, stay down here. Ima bring it."

Rayna went to CVS and brought the two most expensive brands of pregnancy tests. "Damn, these shits expensive." Rayna complained paying for them.

They went to Canes and got some food for themselves and Ryan so he wouldn't be suspicious and so he wouldn't snitch.

Ari hid one of the boxes in her hoodie and Rayna hid a box in hers.

"Here." Rayna said handing Ryan his food quickly going upstairs.

Ryan shrugged it off eating his Canes oblivious to why she was actually sneaking out.

Rayna peed on 1 stick from each of the boxes biting at her nails.

"Stop pacing your making me more nervous." Ari snapped.

"I can't help it."

After the longest few minutes ever the timer went off. Rayna ran to the bathroom then ran out scared to look.

"You look." She told Ari.

Ari went in the bathroom and picked up the tests.

"Aww shit. They both positive."

Rayna started crying and Ari started crying because she cried, eventually they gained her brothers attention. Ray knocked on the door and she quickly kicked the CVS bag under her bed. Ari looked around for a place to hide the pregnancy tests. She panicked and handed them to Rayna.

"Come in." Rayna sniffed putting the tests under her pillow.

"What's wrong with y'all?" Ramir asked sitting on the bed. Rayna's eyes followed him hoping he didn't move her pillow.

Ray and Ramon looked at her waiting for her to respond.

"I stubbed my toe." The 3 of them knew she was lying. Not because she was a bad liar but because she wasn't holding her toe and they knew she would've been if she had.

"Ohh, you'll be straight" Ray said deciding not to mention that he knew she was lying.

The other two followed his lead deciding to just let her lie. They walked out the room and Rayna let out a deep breath.

"Heyy, sorry I'm late." Myla said walking into Rayna's room a few minutes later.

"Heyy." They greeted subtly hiding the pregnancy tests. It wasn't that they didn't trust her, Myla just sucks at keeping secrets. All it takes is for Ramir to start talking to her and he'll know she's keeping a secret. She rambles anytime she's keeping a secret.

Rayna put the tests in her jacket sleeve then walked to her dresser, she slid them out her sleeve hiding them in her underneath her underwear and socks.

"We liveee." China said walking in mimicking the man who used to be all over her ig timeline.

"Dan is the man." Rayna smiled and China laughed. The other two looked at them confused since they hadn't seen those videos.

"Old videos." China clarified.

"Soo, how y'all been. It ain't been just the four of us in forever."

"Coolin, I spend most of my time with Ramon or at home." China shrugged.

"Good, work and with Ramir. We argue a lot tho."

"Why y'all be arguing?"

"If we being honest...cause I'm dramatic. Not all the time, just when he be on the game I be bored so I irritate him."

"Ohh wow, you irritate him on purpose."

"Yeah, sometimes. Other times I be dead serious. Anyways, moving on what y'all been up to."

"I just be home and at work. Occasionally I be with Ray but we text and stuff all the time." Ari answered.

"I be with my siblings, work, or with Teezy." Rayna answered.

"Anything interesting?"

Rayna and Ari looked at eachother and quickly looked away. It was so brief China and Myla didn't catch it.

"Nah, not really."

"I think I wanna lose it for prom." Myla said.

"Go for it, just make sure you don't tell me no details." Rayna responded and the three of them started hyping Myla.

"Matter fact, fuck prom might as well step right now he across the hallway." China suggested.

"Umm, Ms.girl all of us here plus our parents calm down." Rayna said.

"Nobody want hear that shit. Please catch him at a later date." Ari laughed agreeing.

"Put it on em make em wanna marry me, yeaaaa. Put it on em make em wanna marry me." Rayna randomly sung.

"Bruhh y'all seen them videos with Kirk ? He look like he hate it there." Ari said.

"Yeah bruh, especially the first one. He looked like he was sick of her shit."

"Or the one when she was dancing on him and she was like lemme stop, girl you know you told them people record that." China said shaking her head.

"Facts, and they did the challenge with they friends. She be looking so excited and he never match her energy." Myla added.

"Ian gone lie, I'd be salty if my nigga always look like he hate me." Rayna said and they all agreed.

"I'd just have to break up with him, you gone either like it here or get the fuck. ASAP no rocky."

"Fuck liking it here, you better look like you love it here. I'm talking bout I want see all 32 teeth, better be smiling up a storm."

"Fashoo, your jaw better hurt and everything. And you gotta want be around me 24/7 respectfully."

"Hell nahh, I don't want nobody under me 24/7. You gotta cool out sometimes, just chill relax. Do your own thing give me a break." China disagreed. She hated being under people 24/7 it was part of the reason her and Ramon work. He doesn't want to see her everyday and she doesn't want see him everyday either. Yeah, their around eachother a lot but not everyday.

"Personally I want see you almost everyday, but not everyday. I wanna be under you sometimes, other times I don't want be bothered." Rayna said partially agreeing with both of them.

"I stand by what I said. Matter fact fuck 24/7 make it 25/8. Anytime we both free I want you around me." Myla said and they laughed.

"Ima have to agree with China, I don't want see you everyday. See eachother in person sometimes, other times just text me or something." Ari said.

"Alright what y'all like the most about the person your currently dealing with, even if y'all not dating, other than sex." Myla asked looking dead at China for the last part.

"His energy. Funny as hell, always a vibe." Rayna responded.

"Random conversations, he never stay on the same topic for long." China answered.

"Not dealing with anybody." Ari answered. When they all looked at her like bitch really she sucked her teeth and responded. "Honesty, always tell it for what it is...don't matter if you like it or not."

"Patience, I woulda been got sick of me to be honest." Myla responded. "Especially since I sigh and stuff everytime he turn on his game."

"Least you know you sicknen." Rayna joked and Myla laughed.

They talked and chilled until they all started dozing off. The next morning Rayna got up and got dressed for basketball practice leaving them asleep in her room.

She woke Ramir and Ramon up but Ray was already woke.

"Want breakfast?" Ray asked Rayna.

"Yeah." Rayna answered quickly googling if it was safe to play basketball while pregnant. She saw it was safe and went upstairs to finish getting ready.

When they all finished eating and getting dressed Ramir drove them all to practice.

"Byee." Rayna said walking into the opposite gym.
