Chapter 2

ZEE'S POV

After a minute of Max and Nunew talking and making Nu understand. Nu calm down.

But I'm upset of how easily Nunew forgive Max. Does it have to be like this all the time? Does he have to this patient. When will he ever realize that he is loving the wrong person.

But him being these understanding to Max is like a slap on my face that he really love him so much that it hurt all the time.

"Thank you for understanding me Nu" i heard as Max said to Nunew, while Nunew nodded in respond.

Max then look at me. "Everything is fine now Zee. We could continue the meeting." he said

I just nodded couldn't do anything at all.

Max look at Fae who just standing there looking at us all.

"Fae tell everyone that will be there in a minute." Max tell Fae.

Fae nodded and went to the door to get out and inform the models.

"But it's afternoon already Phi wouldn't you eat first before you go to the meeting?" Nunew says staring at Max with his boba eyes pleading to Max.

" We need to hurry at the meeting now Nu" as Max walks to his table and grabs the food that Nunew bought for him. He walks back to Nunew and puts the food in the center table.

"You eat this" Max said talking about the food and opening it for him.

" But I bought that for you Phi " said Nunew.

" It's better for you to eat this I don't want you to starve yourself. Can you eat this for me please!" Max smile to Nu trying to persuade him to just eat the foo erased.

He just can't do anything if Max would plead like that.

I don't know why I have to see this part every time. Am I a masochist, maybe I am.

Just every time this happens it is in my presence and I can't just walk away from them. I'll be the audience whether I like it or not.

"Can we now go Nunew." Max asked Nu and he said yes even if in his eyes shows that he doesn't approve at all.

"Okay let's go now Zee" Max said and look at me urging me to go ahead.

I sigh in defeat. I come close to Nunew first and ruffle his hair.

"We'll go ahead now Nunu" he looked up to me and nodded as I smile at him.

"Welcome back again Hia" he said and I thank him again.

Max went to the door and then I went after him. I wave goodbye to Nunew before I close the door and he smiles but I can see that he looks really sad. If I could just stay with him and not go to that meeting I would do that.  If I'm his fiance I would really cancel everything to be with him.

Max and I went straight to the meeting room without talking to each other.

I don't want to be angry with him but I can't help it that's what I am feeling right now. I am so angry and upset of him but I still can't do anything about it.

He is still my friend and he is still Nunew's fiance so i have to accept that I can't do anything about it.

That's how there mutual relationship is. That's how they are.

Them being engaged since birth is how they end up still together even if Max doesn't love Nunew the way Nunew loves him. He couldn't do anything at all. They will get married in time and that is five months from now. When Nunew graduates in college.

They will get married whether they like it or not.

I sigh as I feel my heart clench as I was thinking about their soon to be wedding.

I don't know if I could take it. Could my heart take it when that time comes? I don't think so. Even now that I'm seeing them together it is painful what more if they will get married in front of my eyes.

I don't want to think of it now.

As we both arrived at the meeting room we get inside and we saw all of the people that are going to be involved in the Kelin waters advertisement waiting.

Some of the people inside are the contracted ad agency that we  have trusted.

Fae who was inside already inform of our arrival. The all greeted us both.

The meeting started right away. Many things have been discussed and approved to set the ads in the standard that we both Max wanted.

It takes long for the meeting to be finalized and to end. By the time the meeting ended it was already 7 in the evening.

"Can we still catch up with that potential investor Fae" I heard Max asking Fae.

Fae check her wrist watch.

" Yes Sir. I would call them that you can still meet with them." she said.

"Okay thank you. Please get the files that we need in my office so we could go now" he said.

I sigh as I heard his still got another things to do. I don't know with this man. He is the most busy man that I know. Since his father handed him the company he strive hard to meet his father's high expectations on him.

I feel sorry for him but I don't know if I would right now. Everything he does right made me annoyed. I still can't get over how he just break someones promise. I know his busy but forgetting something he promised is not an excuse.

I walk out of the room. I already discussed things that I want so I think I don't have a reason to talk to Max again. I just don't want to see his face it's making me angry at him.

" Zee, bro" he calls and I stop on my track but I didn't look back at him.

"I know you're mad at me bro." he started.

"But I don't have any intention to forget my promise to him Zee" I sigh in frustration. He's going to make an excuse again.

"Nunew is my bestfriend to Max " I turn to look at him now.   "And seeing him get hurt because of my bestfriend to is not acceptable to Max. I want to punch you right now. That's how angry I am of you" I said opening up my true feeling right now.

He look down feeling guilty of what I said.

"I'm sorry Zee" he said

"No Max don't say sorry to me." I said trying to hold back being angry at him "What would you need to do is to make it up to Nunew. Have time with him."  If that would put a smile on Nunew's face.

"I will bro. Don't worry. Tomorrow I will cancel some schedule to have time with him." he said looking at me.

I sigh and look at him intently. "Do it.! and please don't make anymore promises to him if you don't have any intentions to keep it." I said and he nodded.

"I'll be going now."  as I excuse myself to him.

"Thank you for coming today bro. Take care"  he said then I raise my hand to gesture goodbye as I walk away from him.

When I was in front of the elevator it opened and Fae who was inside got out. She was busy ramming the files and mumbling something and she didn't notice me.

"Why would he still wait for him. This boss of mine is really cold with his fiance. I hope Nunew would realize someday that he is choosing the wrong man"  I heard her say.

"Is Nunew still in Max's office" I ask Fae who got startled with me.

"Ohh shit.." she courses but when she realized it was me she bowed to say sorry   "you startled me Mr. Wang"  as she smiles at me.

"I didn't mean to startle you Fae. I just heard you said Nunew is still in Max office." I says looking all worry of Nunew.

"Ohh yes Mr. Wang but he fell asleep waiting for Sir Max." she said looking so worried to.

"I would tell Sir Max about this sir don't worry " as she ensure me.

"I think Max in a hurry you don't need to tell him I would just go there and take him home." stopping Fae on telling Max.  "You go ahead Fae" she hesitate but I nodded for her to go so she walks away and I take the elevator.

As I arrive at Max office I open the door and saw him sleeping peacefully on the couch.

I come close to him I look at his beautiful face. Just looking at him make my day better.

I crouched down in front of him so I can be on his level.

How I wish I could see his sleeping face every morning. I bet he looks breathtakingly beautiful every morning. But I could only wish.

I've already wish to all the start in the sky to have him but I guess wishing would never come true.

I raise my hand gently stroking his hair then touch his smooth face. How could he be so perfect in every way.

I smile as he nuzzles his face in my hand that is touching his face. He looks so comfortable under my hands that it warms my heart to see these.

I noticed as his eyes started to open slowly, then I met his beautiful eyes who were just staring at me softly.

We stared at each other for a minute before I heard something from him.

"Why are you soo handsome" he said subconsciously.  I was speechless for a moment. Did he just complement me.?

Will, he always does compliment that I'm handsome but hearing it in that soft voice of him is different.

"Maybe that's why my heart beats for you" as he smile whispered those words. My breath stopped as it made my heart beat like crazy and before anything else he closed his eyes again and snoozed off.

God did I just hear it right?

Did he just say that to me?

I blink thinking maybe I am dreaming.

Then I realized he was just hallucinating. Maybe he thought I am Max.

I breathed deeply and decided to brush it off. I would just made myself stupid if I would think what he just said is for me.

He would never say that to me.

My hand that was still on his hair caress him as I try to wake him up.

"Nu wake up now" he woke up and blink his eyes and immediately sit when he see me in front of him.

"Hia, What are you doing here?" he ask as his eyes roam around the office.

"The meeting just ended so I came here" I responded.

"Where is Max" and look at me confused to why does Max was still not here. Just as I thought he just mistaken me awhile ago.

"His not here Nunew" 'I am the one who's here, who cares for you more than him'  I want to add but I stop my self.

"His busy again." he asked, more like his confirming as he was looking so disappointed.

"Did you just wait here the whole time?" I ask as I look at the center table full of different things from a take out food to an empty bottle of juice and milk to a pizza that was half eaten and to his open sketch book  that has a drawing of a human leaning on a tree over a hill that looks so beautiful.

He looked at me and what I was looking.

"Oohh ahhm. You can guess I stay for these whole time" he said getting all shy as he immediately grab some plastic bag and put the garbage on it.

"I'm so sorry Hia. I am a messy eater" as he pouted picking everything he touched and put in the bag in a hurry.

"Nu, nothing is wrong with that. I already know your like that when you're eating so don't say sorry." but he still grab anything and put again in the bag.

"Okay. Stoopp." I shouted a little then I hold his hand to stop him when he try to grab his sketch book to put it inside the plastic bag.

"Okay I think you're still sleepy" and I take away the plastic and the book in his hand. I put down the sketch book and the plastic bag on the table then I push him gently to sit back on the couch.

"You stay there. I'll clean it for you" I said but he protested but then I insisted on doing it he looked at me pleading that he would just do it instead but I look at him seriously that made him pout cutely and look away.

I guess he is sulking at me. He's really cute in everything he does.

I let him sulk at me for a minute I just clean the table and got some tissue and wipe any dirt that's left.

After everything I get a wet wipes and then I kneel in front of Nu.

He was confused at what I did but then I pulled his hands gently and wiped his hands that got dirty when he grabbed the garbage recklessly.

"Hia.. " he calls.  I raise my head to look at him.

"No matter what happens. Please don't leave me" he said.

I was speechless couldn't believe he would say that. That he plead me to not leave him.

But I don't have a plan to even leave him. Of course I'm going to stay.

He looked at me sadly when i stay silent he was about to cry

"Hia.. " he calls me again bitting his lip to hold back his emotion.

"Nu.. When did I even leave you?" I said trying to be calm. I don't want to be emotional in front of him.

Him being sad makes me sad to.

"I would never ever leave you Nu. Never. I stay here with you forever" as I squeeze his hand gently.

"You promise?" he said pouting and holding back his tears. God I never wanted to see him cry because of me but at the same time I wanted it to. My mind is not right,.

"I promise" as I raise my right hand for a promise.

Then Nunew smile instantly then he hug me.

"Thank you so much Hia" he said then pull away from the hug. He looks at me and smile so brightly.

"Did you eat dinner already?" I ask making another  conversation cuz gosh I'm blushing right now.

Nunew shake his head and said no.

"Let's eat dinner first then I take you home after" I said.

"Okay Hia" he nodded in approval.

I stand and grab his hand to pull him up gently.

"Where do you want to eat?" I ask as I straightened his crumpled clothes.

"Anywhere you want Hia" and he looks at me with his boba eyes.

I can't really take him. I'm so down bad with this boy in front of me.

"Then anywhere it is" I said and he giggles and excitedly intertwined his hand around my arms.

We get out of Max office and went to the elevator. Nunew started talking about all of his finished painting last night and at what hour did he finished. He also said that his going to show it to me after I take him home.

I feel excited every time he shows me his new beautiful paintings. He really is born to be a painter and I'm always been proud of him since.

As we got out of the building we both went to my car. Nu said he doesn't bring his car he just ask their family driver to take him to Kornthas enterprise.

We decided to eat at the nearest fast food restaurant. So we drive up to the restaurant that he decided to choose for us.

After we arrive we both order his favorite foods. We eat and talk things until we finish our food then I pay for the bill and we walk out of the restaurant after.

I told him that I'll be taking him home now. But Nunew stopped walking.

I looked at him confused as to why he stopped.

"It still early Hia. Let's walk first to digest what we eat" he said and he pulled me and walked on the sidewalk.

He walk ahead of me putting his hands on his back he was looking up the light on the street and enjoying the scenery of the night.

I was thinking it's been long since we knew each other and now in five months from now he will get married. With the man his in love with since the day we met.

I remember how I got to know Nunew because of Max.

7 year ago

Max was part of the football team in university and I am just a normal college student in this university. A guy who loves book than sports.

If you are thinking on why did we became friends.

His the popular guy and I'm not. But we became friends since we're in high school.

I've been a laughing stock in my high school, the favorite of bullies. I'm this boy who wears a big eye glasses because of my poor eyesight.

But when Max defended me with bullies my life became easy to bear. He made me his bestfriend even if I don't want to at first, but Max was so persistent to be my friend until I accepted him as my bestfriend.

We graduated in high school and enter the same university. His family wants him to enter Chulalongkorn University, but when he knows that I'm going to Bangkok University he instantly sign up along with me so his family couldn't do anything on what he did.

Max is the kind of person who always take a risk in life and would do what he wants.

When his family knows I was also there they just go along with Max decision. His family knows and trusts me well enough to be Max friend that would lead him to good things.

Without any problem Max entered Bangkok University.

He signed up for the football team immediately and now we're in our third year in college he became the most popular football player in our school.

Max has been a good friend to me even if we don't have the same interest in life.

But still we both support each other. When I'm having a competition in the business field he would support me and his having a football competition I'm there to support him to.

Just like today our university has a competition and Max who's in football team was now playing the game.

I am sitting at the upper part on one of the bleachers and watching the game. Every other team is cheering up by their respective school university.

The game started with every team being eager to win but in the end the competition ended with our university football team wins.

Everyone cheers for our winning team.

Max again gained more fans and admirers.

Hours had passed and i was still sitting on my place finding a perfect timing to come close and congratulate Max.

When the crowd started to dispersed I stand on my sit and goes down and walk towards Max team.

As I was walking I heard girls are giggling so much. I didn't give any attention to what they are giggling about a just go pass to them just walking straight to Max.

"That's Max bestfriend that I'm talking about. His so handsome right" I heard one of the girls talking so loud.

"Ohh shit his really handsome" as the other girls said.

"Does he have a girlfriend or boyfriend?" one said.

I just didn't pay much attention to them. I know those girls are talking about me. I'm the only bestfriend Max  recognize as and is showing off and talking to everyone in all about.

I don't know why his like that but sometimes I'm too annoyed when someone suddenly approach me and try to make a move on me.  I always told him to stop bragging and telling people that I'm his bestfriend.

Shit I don't like those women getting all giddy and swoon over me and giving me gift and flowers just cuz  I'm handsome in their eyes. I don't know what happened to women and gays these days. They are the one who are courting men and that's weird for me.

"Max" I called when I'm close the their team. Max turn and look at me. His team also look at me and greeted me so I greet them back.

"Congratulations everyone." I said and gave everyone a handshake. When Max turns I hug him in congratulating him.

"Congratulations on winning bro" as I tap his back.

"Thanks for coming bro" he said as we pull out from each other.

"Zee.." the couch of the team calls me.

"Congratulations coach" I said instantly when I look at him. He was smiling from ear to ear.

"Thank you! Do you have time. You can come with us for the celebration" he invited me.

"I'm sorry coach there are many things that I need to finish so I can't come with you" I declined.

They all expected that of me. I'm not fond of parties Max know that very will. They would always wanted me to come but I would always decline.

" I expect that of you Zee." he said and Max grin at the team who just nodded in unison.

"You go first everyone. I'm just gonna talk to Zee first" Max said urging the team and their coach to go.

They all say goodbye to me first before they walk out of the field.

"So your going home now?" he ask and I nodded.

"As I said I've got many things to do Max" I said and he nodded.   "I want to take you somewhere to celebrate your winning but that could wait tomorrow" I said then he laugh.

"You just really like a celebration with less people Zee. Being an introvert, is less of a problem huh" he said and tap my shoulder.

"I don't think so" I said grinning at him and we both laugh.

"Phi Max.."we heard as someone shouted Max name. Max looking at me wide eyes.

I don't know what happened to him but he look so panic.

"PHIII-...Max " someone shouted again. Max and I both look at the one who shouted.

It a boy running towards us waving his hand at us. Well his waving at Max actually.

"Ohh shit. I thought it's my imagination. He's really here" I heard Max said and I look at him confused.

He looked so shock, confused and panicked and scared seeing the boy.

I've known Max for like eight years but I never saw Max looking like that.

I look at the boy again. He's face was blurred with the sunset hitting his face so I couldn't clearly see his face.

But when his near his face is now clear in our sight and shit I never saw someone this cute in my whole life.

I was stunned to see the boys face. He was smiling so beautifully and that dimple in the side of his lip is making him more cute.

"Phi Max" he calls Max again and  when he's close he hugs Max immediately and Max who was still shocked instantly hugs the boy to prevent himself from falling.

After a minute of hug Max pull away and look at the boys face who was smiling at him so brightly.

"I miss you soo much Phi"  the boy said excitedly.

"W..wai.. wait..wh what are you. Doing here?" Max said stammering and looking so panic.

What is really happening to him and who is this boy. Why does he look panicked and scared of this cutie in front of him.

'who is he' that what's in my thoughts.

"I'm here to see  of course" the boy said like it is a normal thing for him to be in front of Max right now.

"Who's with you" Max ask and the boy smile.

"I'm with daddy. Didn't uncle Tor tell you about dad being one of the sponsor for this competition?" he said talking about Max father.

Max shake his head obviously had no idea at all.

"Ohh my bad Phi. I thought you knew. I'm sorry" the boy said pouting his lips cutely.

The boy could make any expression and he would still look cute with it.

"It's okay. I mean it's not your fault." Max said now smiling at the boy.

I was just looking at them like I'm an audience in a movie and they are the leads.

When Max noticed that I was just looking at them he look at me. That's when the boy look at my way.

He was looking at me like his seeing something unexpected. His eyes bulging and mouth wide open.

"Oohh my are you a celebrity?" the boy said looking at me in amazement.

I feel awkward as he looks at me from head to toe. What is he doing. I don't know. The way he looks at me it's like I'm piece of particle in microscope.

"Nu don't look at him like that" I heard Max said to the boy and when the boy realize what he did he instantly look away bitting his lower lip in embarrassment.

"Sorry phi" he said softly. I don't know who he said sorry but I guess it's for the both of us Max.

"Oohh Zee" Max calls me and I saw how the boys eyes twitches and look at Max in realization.

"Before anything else. This is Nunew Chawarin Keerati" he said as he introduced the boy named Nunew.

Then Max look at Nunew who looks at me now unbelievably.

"Nunew, this is my best friend Zee Pruk Wang the one that I told you before" and Nunew smile so brightly at me.

"Soo he is Zee?" He said and look at Max for a confirmation. Max nodded.

"Hi Zee." as he extended his hand at me and I grabbed it I don't know what happened but there's something twitching in my stomach when he smiles so wonderfully at me. It's like my world lights up because of him.

"Nunew. Max fiance" he said and my world stop.

God what just happened to me. Did he just said fiance?

How my word light instantly. It instantly darkens to.

I don't know what happened and I don't know what to do.

I know I said I'll inform when I will post the next update but I post it now without prior notice.

I don't have any time for the next few days so I posted it today.

Sadly this update ends here everyone.

I don't know when I will update next.

Unexpectedly my stories are going to stop for the meantime.
