Gone was time • poetry collection
years from now,
all the perplexities of the present will be buried.
all the worries of today will be gone.
the challenges we face seem vapid.
by then all will sound like an amusing song.
years from now,
you won't even remember,
you can't even recall.
your old self doesn't deserve censure,
for you were suffering a heart-rending fall.
years from now,
when you're wrinkled and wizened,
when you're old and grey,
your lips no longer crimson.
