direction. Instead, he stated in a remarkably calm manner, “Sam, you don’t have to work for me

anymore.” He had always been a man who valued his employees and was not the type to be angry

with someone for no apparent reason.

When he heard Sam’s grumbles about Alice, his heart throbbed in agony, though. At this moment, he

and he did so because of his deep respect for the man. From the moment he began working for Ethan,

he never considered leaving.

“How about we plead for mercy?” Liam was usually a man of few words but had a big heart, especially

since they had always gotten along.

“Plead for mercy? Do you wish to die?” Caleb glanced at Liam and sighed silently. “You didn’t notice

the expression on Mr. Knight’s face as he spoke; it was calm and emotionless. Rather than appearing

angry, he seemed to be distancing himself.”

“Something about his actions seemed off to me as well. What happened between him and Mrs.

Knight?” Liam had also noticed the same thing.

“Let’s not ask about it. From now on, no one will say a single word about her.” As he said this, Caleb

gave the other two men disappointed glances. “Use your brain. Don’t anger Mr. Knight during this time.”

However, Liam was still concerned about Sam’s situation and asked, “What about Sam?”

that? Had my wife found out I had spoken ill of her, she would have chased me with.
