SEVENTEEN

THE RIDE BACK home feels different, Jimin feels different. He doesn't know why but he somehow feels better. He feels lighter, as if a little bit of the pressure got off his back.

The conversation with Yoongi helped him, helped him with his thoughts with the pressure on his shoulders, with his doubts and his worries. Even though the elder didn't do much, it kind of helped Jimin a lot to cope with the whole situation. It feels like Yoongi got his back. Like as if Jimin knows that he isn't alone with all of this.

It's a good feeling.

As they arrive home, some of the others, like Jin and Namjoon or Chan and Felix, are already in their rooms, it's just the trio and Hyunjin that are still in the living room. They are talking to each other, but not that loud and cheerful anymore, just normal late night talks. After all it's past midnight.

Jimin and Yoongi quietly enter the open area of the living room, where Jimin spots his cat, lying next to the big black dog, making her owner smile in result.

Jimin greets the others by raising his hand before walking upstairs, noticing Yoongi who is about to enter his room.

„Good night." Jimin says quickly before the elder would disappear in his room. The black haired male turns his head around, facing Jimin half.

„And- thank you." The younger adds, making Yoongi nod softly but still not look at Jimin.

„Good night to you too." Yoongi then says before entering his room and leaving Jimin behind. A smile forms on his plump lips, as he walks up to his own room to enter it the next moment.

The night was peaceful and so was the next day. The morning started normal, the breakfast with the others was okay, it was nothing big, just them enjoying breakfast together before everyone would go their own ways.

It indeed was a little bit strange, now that Yoongi knows about Jimin's ability, sitting at the table with someone who is about to die if they don't prevent it, eating with him as if everything's normal. But it isn't.

And every now and then, these thoughts find their way into Jimin's mind, making him go quiet and distant. He would bicker with Jungkook or laugh with Hoseok, but then suddenly when he looks across the table and his eyes meet Felix's or Yoongi's he would be reminded of what's about to happen. His mood would change in a matter of seconds.

He needed to leave the house and clear his mind.

So he finds himself on a place he hasn't visited for a while.

Slowly squating down, he reaches for the leaves that piled up on the gray stones, to remove them.

„Haven't been here for a while, huh?" With a soft smile he places the big bouquet of flowers on the two gravestones.

„I'm sorry, I was quite busy the past few days." Jimin continues, as he sits down on the ground next to his parent's graves, "You wouldn't believe what happened."

„I'm working for the Swat now, you know. I'm still in training but as soon as I learn how to control my powers, I will go on missions and have tasks with my partner." The black haired male says while playing with the grass on the ground in front of him, „Ah- my partner. He's strange and he actually doesn't want to work with me. Even though I think we would be a good team, he refuses to be a duo with me."

„Maybe someday he will give me a chance." Jimin adds before a soft chuckle leaves his lips. He leans back, supporting himself with his arms, as he looks up to the sky, a smile on his lips.

„I missed talking to you." Jimin says, „It's been a while now. So much happened. Maybe my dream will come true."

A soft breeze is running through Jimin's hair as he stays at his parent's grave for the next hour. He just thinks about his situation, how his life has taken a big turn, about what's coming. Even though he came here to clear his mind, it's still bothering him.

After a while he decides to go home, where he walks to his room right away, not feeling like interacting with the others.

He always leaves his door slightly open for his cat to go in when she wants to, so he wonders if Cali is back in his room or wandering around the big mansion.

Arriving in his room, he opens his door leading to the balcony, to let in some fresh air.

„Cali?" He shouts but he hears no footsteps or anything from his cat. With that he decides to take a shower before changing into his Pyjamas.

He wouldn't do much today, just relax before the next week starts, it's going to be a tough one.

As he walks out of his bathroom he notices something moving outside in the dark, a smile appears on his lips as he sees Calico wandering around the balcony.

„Yah! Cali!" He says with a smile before leaning down to pet her. She starts purring right away, making Jimin smile even more. Suddenly a quiet cough catches his attention, scaring him to be specific und making him look to his left.

There he spots a certain dark haired man who sits on the lounge watching Jimin and his cat quietly.

„Jesus- you scared me." Jimin mumbles but focuses on his cat again, suddenly he can feel the piercing stare of the other, making him slightly nervous.

It's so strange, the feelings Yoongi makes him feel. Sometimes he makes him angry, the next time he feels nervous, then again he feels secure and safe, and sometimes he feels hot when Yoongi stares at him shamelessly.

They stay quiet for a while, just watching the cat do her thing, being adorable as always. She seems to like Yoongi a lot since she keeps walking to the certain male to nudge her head against his legs, purring and waiting to be pet by him.

„I told Namjoon." Yoongi breaks the silence after a few minutes, making Jimin finally look at him.

„What did he say?" Jimin asks carefully.

„We will have a team meeting in the morning." Yoongi responds, „To discuss the situation. Maybe send out some teams."

„Did you tell him-"

„No I didn't say anything about your ability." Yoongi interrupts Jimin, since he knew what the younger is referring to. Yoongi isn't someone to break his promise.

„Thank you." Jimin mumbles, before another silence occurred.

Yoongi stands up from his seat, to go back inside, while Jimin is trying to think of a good way to end the conversation. Should he wish him a good night again? What should he say?

"See you tomorrow." The elder suddenly interrupts his thoughts, making Jimin look at him, "Be on time."

"I will." Jimin responds, before the elder walks into his room, closing the balcony door behind him.

Jimin decides to go to his room as well, since it got dark already and he somehow feels tired. After staying on his phone for a while, he falls asleep, wondering what the next day would bring.

He didn't have much time in the morning to get ready or have breakfast, he rushed downstairs to be on time since Yoongi is already waiting for him outside at his motorcycle. With a short 'Good morning' they greet each other before making their way to the department, where they would meet up with the others to discuss the current situation.

"So that's what we know so far." Namjoon ends his explanation, after telling the others, what Jimin knows.

"We basically know nothing." Chan says with a frown on his forehead.

"Why doesn't he explain himself?" Jungkook asks with a sassy undertone in his voice, making Jimin roll his eyes.

"There's nothing more that I can tell you." Jimin responds, crossing his arms and leaning back on his char.

"It's indeed not much information. But we surely can work with that." Jin suddenly says, causing the others to look at him.

"I think so too." Hoseok adds, a nod from his partner confirms his statement.

"How can we trust you?" Jungkook asks, "Maybe you are part of the attack."

Jimin shrugs with his shoulders, "You don't have to trust me. I'm just warning you. People are about to die." Of course Jimin wouldn't tell them about his vision, that one certain blonde male would die due the attack as well. But somehow he finds himself looking at Felix from time to time.

"What is your plan, Commander?" Hoseok asks.

"Since we don't know when the attack will be, we will have to work preventive. We will be sending out teams to the said street, to check up on it all the time." Commander Kim explains making the other nod in response.

"It will occur at day time." Jimin adds. He has to be careful what he can tell the others and what not. Yoongi knows everything, so he played along and helped Jimin when they would ask him questions about how he got the information and so on. The new member is surprised how much support he got from his partner, Namjoon also defeated him when the others were too curious, or when Jungkook would say rude comments about Jimin.

"Sergeant Jung, your team- the three of you will be on a daily watch. Officer Kim and Jeon, you two will position yourself on the buildings around that area. Detective Bang you will join Sergeant Jung and keep an eye on the street. Detective Kim and Officer Hwang, you will get the access to the security cameras of this area. Your task will be to check if you see something suspicious. Try finding out if there will be any special events or occasions this week." Commander Kim explains to everyone.

"What about us?" Felix asks curiously, why he didn't get a task.

"You and Sergeant Min will continue training with Jimin. We will be joining the others if we have to." The Commander responds, making Felix frown. He then tried to argue about how he could be a good help, but Namjoon refused to take his offer and stuck to his plan. After all Namjoon knows that Felix may be in danger but to prevent panic he, Jimin and Yoongi decided to keep it a secret.

"Gladly the street isn't far away from our department. We can step in immediately if anything happens." The Commander adds and that's how they somehow ended their meeting. Everyone knows what to do, but Jimin didn't feel well, just staying at the department and not helping at all. Then again, he wouldn't be much of a help, since he isn't trained enough to be part of the mission.

He still has a lot to learn and he is eager to do his best, to work even harder the next weeks, so that he can soon join the others and fulfill his duty as a Swat officer.

Right after the meeting, he and Yoongi started their training, first they worked out together, after a short break, Felix would do the shooting lesson with him. They get along quite well, better than Jimin expected. They talked a lot beside training, how Felix got into the SWAT. He even taught Jimin about different important things at the SWAT like the finger signs they use when working as a team or other stuff. Felix also offered to do a first aid course with him, because Felix is a medical helper after all.

They decided to do it the next day, because Jimin had to leave for his control training with Yoongi.

It went good as well, Jimin is determined to learn faster, to get better as soon as possible. Yoongi noticed the change in Jimin's eyes, the ambition and determination. He could see the fire in his eyes.

The training went well, nothing happened that day, the attack wasn't meant to happen on this Monday. So the next day the trio and Chan went back to their task, while Jimin stayed at the department with the others. It stayed quiet that day as well. Jimin trained with Yoongi twice and somehow managed to get the first aid course in between his trainings. The whole time he succeeded in lifting the pen, he even lifted the knife Yoongi gave him. He learned fast and Yoongi would be lying if he said, he isn't impressed.

It's Wednesday, another successful working day comes to an end, as Jimin and Yoongi finish the control training. They are now on their way to change their clothes and to meet up with Jack, since they promised to pay him a visit together. Stepping out of the practice room, they spot Felix jogging up to them.

"Sergeant! Jimin! They spotted the attackers, Commander told me to get there with some other officers! Sergeant you are needed too." Felix informs them, as he quickly passes them to go to the changing room to get himself a bulletproof vest.

So it's happening - Jimin feels the sudden fast heartbeat in his chest, making him nervous.

Yoongi rushes to the same room, Jimin following him. "You are staying here." Yoongi says without turning around, making Jimin frown.

"Hell no, I'm coming with you." Jimin responds, stepping into the changing room, "I'm your partner after all."

Yoongi presses his lips together as these words left Jimin's mouth. The elder doesn't know what to respond, it clearly took him aback. There's also no time to think about it, so he just nods, before handing Jimin a vest as well. On their way out, Yoongi stops by the armory, where he gets his machine gun and other equipment.

They rush out to the cars, every minute matters, they have to get there on time or it will be too late.

"I will drive." Jimin snatches the keys out of Yoongi's hand, the elder had no time to argue about it, while the younger walks to the driver's door to drive the car.

"Let's hurry up."
