CH 28.2
The Younger Brother Next Door is a School Grass
A daily-sheet-calendar with bold numbers was hung next to the classroom blackboard. Each day, the student on duty tore off a sheet of paper.
After the National Day, the remaining days of the college entrance exams for the senior class were reduced to two hundred.
The learning atmosphere in the class became more and more intense.
Even in the break, most of the students remained in their seats, and focused on their studies.
Zhou Sisi raised her eyes from the language newspaper, saw the hanging countdown days of the college entrance exam, her gaze deflected and saw a quiet and serious overhead.
She unscrewed the thermos and drank a bit of Chinese date and wolfberry tea. For a moment, there was a sudden feeling of warmth, and she felt that she was luckier than most of the people.
Coming back to a life, there was a foundation for my studies, the family was also getting better â¦â¦
âSisi, do you want to eat dumplings at night?â Yi Ting came over with a bag of snacks.
Zhou Sisi put down the bottle and replied, âYes.â
âOK, weâll rush to the cafeteria after class.â
âOK.â
Yi Ting opened the package. âDo you want Cucumber-flavored potato chips?â
âNo, you eat.â Zhou Sisi smiled.
Yi Ting reached out and patted Zhou Sisiâs deskmate on the shoulder. âDo you want it? Guo Qin?â This brother often âgivesâ her a seat, so he deserved some snacks anyway.
âTwo slices.â Guo Qin was not polite either.
âEat, itâs all yours.â Yi Ting put the whole pack of chips on his desk that she hadnât eaten much.
âSo generous?â Guo Qin instantly became wary. âWhatâs fishy inside?â
Yi Ting was so angry that she wanted to snatch it back. âYes, itâs poisonous! Donât eat it.â
âHow can you take back what you gave away?â Guo Qin grabbed the potato chip bag and accidentally spilled a few pieces onto Zhou Sisiâs desktop next to him.
He hurriedly put down the pack and pulled a tissue. â Iâll clean it up.â
âLook, you spilled my water before, now you spilled potato chips on Sisiâs table.â Yi Ting inserted words like knife. âWhoever is at the same table as you is unlucky, isnât it, Sisi?â
Guo Qin apologized as he wiped. âSorry, Sisi.â He was much more ashamed and self-condemned than the last time he faced Yi Ting.
âItâs okay,â Zhou Sisi said warmly, âitâs clean now.â
Guo Qin crumpled the tissue that had wiped the table into a ball and held it in his palm.
Probably at this moment, his appreciation for Zhou Sisi seemed to have turned into a hazy love.
The weather got cold, and many students went to the cafeteria to buy dinner.
As soon as class ended, Zhou Sisi was dragged by Yi Ting and Qi Minhuo to the line. Even so it took nearly 20 minutes to eat the dumplings.
âItâs so hard to eat a meal.â Yi Ting carefully picked up a dumpling.
Qi Minhuo: âThere are so many students and so few windows. Will school officials die if they expand the cafeteria?â
Yi Ting: âExpansion? They are stingy as hell.â
âItâs so crowded, they still insist that day students spend their evening self-study hereââ Yi Ting looked at Zhou Sisi who was eating elegantly. âItâs too bad, Sisi, you could have enjoyed a warm dinner at home.â
Zhou Sisi raised her long eyelashes. âItâs not bad. It was nice to have dinner with you guys.â
âI love to hear that,â Qi Minhui raised her hand and shook Zhou Sisiâs shoulder. âSisi sweetie.â
Yi Ting knocked her chopsticks on the bowl as she proclaimed, âEh eh, donât move your hands on my Sisi.â
âAxi, lend me your cell phone â who are you chatting with?â Panda probed while leaning forward.
Lu Xi quickly pressed the screen off, and pushed the Panda head away with his palm. âWhat does it have to do with you?â
âIsnât this a question,â Pan De said. âLend me your phone for a round of king pesticides?â
Lu Xi: âHave you finished your homework?â
Pan De: âIâm done. Mobile phone, hehe-â
Lu Xi: âNo borrowing, there is not much charge left.â
Pan De: âAlright. Iâll go to class (4) to borrow from Mr. Huang.â
Leaning back in the chair, Lu Xi tilted his head lazily. âAre you sure he will come to study at night?â
Pan De, who walked a few steps, said, âI see you every day for self-study at night, and I subconsciously think that everyone is attending. Alas, itâs hard.â
âPlay less games.â Lu Xi said, âLife should be a little ideal.â
Pan De sullenly said, âMy short-term ideal is to be a king, and my long-term ideal is to be seen by a beautiful noblewoman who is looking for a son.â
âOh. There is a certain difference between ideals and delusions.â Lu Xi flipped the thin phone between his fingers.
âWell, can I ask you a question?â A petite girl with flat bangs stood at Lu Xiâs desk. âTodayâs physics homework.â
Lu Xi lifted his eyelids. âAsking me?â
âWell, can you teach me?â Flat bangs seemed to be apprehensive, wanted to look at Lu Xi and not dare to look, and her clear face was slightly red.
Lu Xi tilted his chin and gestured to Pan De next to him. âHeâs in the top three of the physics grade, are you sure you didnât ask him?â
âAlso â¦â¦ can be.â The flat bangs held back this sentence.
Pan De put on a serious face. âDonât be like this, Axi. Zhang Xiaoyan wanted to ask you.â
âOkay, which question?âLu Xi, who hadnât been asked for advice in years, found it interesting.
The flat bangs shyly put down the exercise book. âThe third course of ability enhancement â¦â¦â
âBrother Xi! Someone is looking for you!â
The male students chatting and blowing near the back door shouted.
âItâs a girl!â
âLu Xi, a beautiful senior is looking for you!â
Pretty sister? Lu Xi got up from his seat and left a sentence: âIâm going out, you ask Pan De.â
Stepping out of the back room door, he saw the person coming, and the corners of his lips couldnât hold back.
And his eyes twinkled like a brilliant star in the sky.
