Extra 9 The Teleported Djinn and His Followers â Part 3

Six men and women arrived at the entrance of the city of Tantoga.
Each riding on camels and accompanied by spare camels.
âOoh, quite an impressive city, isnât it?â
Djinn Garwin complimented the city.
The area surrounding Tantoga was no longer desert but had turned into grassland.
âThis is the capital of the desert kingdom of Julban, Tantoga.â
The human man explained.
His expression was not so much polite as it was timid, almost fearful.
âHey, Bosun, letâs eat first. Lead us to a good restaurant.â
âYes, sir, Garwin-sama.â
Djinn Garwin ordered, and the man replied, nodding repeatedly.
Bosun was one of the ruffians from the Devilâs Guild, but now he was guiding Garwinâs group.
Along the way, he had come to understand that Garwin and the others were not ordinary humans but something far more terrifying.
âGarwin-sama, we donât really need to eatâ¦â
âShut up, Oranj! I want to eat good food. Of course, itâs not a problem if you donât want to, but since weâre in town, I might as well.â
Garwin shouted angrily at Oranj, as usual.
The other three followers remained silent.
Vim Lowe was naturally quiet.
Jukeâs voice could only be heard by Garwin.
And Isolde preferred to leave the role of being scolded to Oranj.
That was Oranjâs role.
After finishing their meal, the six of them left the restaurant.
âWell, that was certainly delicious. Bosun, I commend you.â
âHaha. Thank you very much.â
Bosun, the only human among them, bowed so deeply that his head almost touched the ground.
Howeverâ¦
âHuh? By the way, Bosun, did you pay at the restaurant?â
âUh? N-Noâ¦â
âWhy didnât you pay?â
âThis is⦠a shop that pays tribute to the Devilâs Guild, so eating and drinking are freeâ¦â
At Garwinâs question, Bosun answered somewhat proudly.
âThatâs not good.â
âEhâ¦â
Denied by Garwin, Bosunâs face turned pale.
âPeople should pay when they eat at someone elseâs shop. Thatâs only natural. Go pay up immediately.â
âYes sir!â
Bosun immediately ran off to the cashier at the shop.
Watching this with a puzzled expression.
Oranj decided to ask Garwin.
âGarwin-sama, itâs quite unusual for you to ask him to pay, isnât it?â
âWhat are you talking about, Oranj? Itâs only natural for people to pay when they eat at someone elseâs shop.â
Garwin replied to Oranj with a puzzled expression.
And he continued.
âEven if the Devilâs Guild held a high position in collecting tribute. Rather, precisely because they hold such a high positionâ¦. Juke, what do you think?â
ââ¦â
âExactly, isnât it? Even the young duke that Juke possessed⦠he held a very high position among humans, but he still paid for his meals when dining in town, didnât he? Naturally.â
ââ¦â
âIndeed, the higher oneâs position, the more they must set an example for the people. Absolutely right. So, I really donât understand what Oranj is on about.â
With that, Garwin shook his head slightly.
Beside him, Juke, who appeared as a young boy, also shook his head slightly.
âAm I the strange one?â
Oranj muttered, grimacing.
He continued speaking.
âBut Garwin-sama, youâve never paid humans for anything before.â
âHmm? Of course not. Whatâs your point?â
âEh? Wait, didnât you just ask him to payâ¦?â
âIâm a Djinn and you all are my followers. We are superior beings compared to humans. Why should we pay humans anything?ân/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
By now, Garwin was looking at Oranj as if he were a pitiable fool.
âA-Am I wrong?â
âOranj, think about it. For example, if some humans went to a restaurant run by chickens and ate there, would they pay the chickens before leaving? Of course not. Why would they pay those they consider their prey? Oranj, you really need to train your mind a bit more.â
âDoes that analogy even make senseâ¦?â
Garwin explained confidently, and Oranjâs response was so quiet that no one heard itâ¦.
âS-sorry for the wait.â
Bosun said as he returned after paying.
âBosun, who is the strongest person in this city?â
Garwin asked abruptly but with a cheerful demeanor.
âI-In the public eye, it would be Captain Zocklak of the Kingâs Guard.â
Bosun replied. His answer came smoothly, indicating that Zocklak was a well-known figure.
However, Garwinâs curiosity lay elsewhere.
âYou said in the public eye. Is there someone in the shadows?â
âYes. If we include the underworld, then it would be our Devilâs Guild president, Bazaar-sama.â
This answer also came smoothly.
âAlright then, take us to this Bazaar of the Devilâs Guild.â
âHuh?â
âIt sounds interesting.â
With that, Garwin commanded, and Bosun nodded once before leading the way.
Bosun smirked inwardly.
(Finally, Iâll be rid of these guys. I was wondering how to get help, but now theyâre asking to go to the headquarters themselvesâ¦seems my luck isnât completely gone yet.)
ââ¦So, Bosun, who are these people youâve brought with you?â
This was in the grand hall of the Devilâs Guild headquarters.
Bosun led the six, including Garwinâs group, into the hall, where they were met with suspicious looks.
âYes, Vice President. These people wanted to meet the President.â
âSo you just bring anyone who says they want to meet the President?â
The Vice President asked further, frowning even more at Bosunâs answer.
âN-no, umâ¦â
Bosun stammered, unable to answer.
âAh, Bosun was caught by us, so he brought us here to ask for help.â
âWhat did you say?â
Garwin said with a laugh, and the Vice President, not understanding the meaning of the words, asked again.
âIsnât your President, Bazaar or something, supposed to be strong? He thought if he beat me, heâd be released, so he brought us here.â
Garwin explained politely, and Bosun looked surprised.
He didnât expect his plan to be so easily seen through.
âIn other words, this is an attack. If we kill all of you, will this President guy show up?â
âTalk about ridiculous! You will kill us all?â
âYeah. Shall we show you?â
âInteresting! Letâs see you try. Hey, you guysâ¦â
âDo it!â
Before the Vice President could finish speaking, Garwin gave the order.
Four streams of wind blew through the hall.
Oranj, Vim Lowe, Juke, and Isolde.
Three heads flew, blood spurted from three necks, three turned to stone, and three had their hearts pierced.
The only one left alive was the Vice President.
âWhat theâ¦â
The Vice President couldnât understand what had happened.
âSeems like everyone except you is dead.â
Garwin stated the fact.
Then he continued.
âSo, will this President or whoever come out now? Or do I need to kill you too?â
âW-wait!â
A side door opened, and a person came out.
âWhat is all this noise?â
âPresident!â
A young man in his mid-twenties appeared with a frown, and the Vice President called out happily.
âOh, so he did come out after killing everyone. When in doubt, kill everyone.â
Garwin said happily.
ââ¦Is that so?â
âDonât ask me.â
Oranj whispered, questioning Isolde next to her.
Isolde answered, looking annoyed.
âI heard the President or whatever is the strongest in this city.â
âYeah, Iâm strong.â
President Bazaar answered confidently to Garwinâs question.
âThatâs right. Those who do bad things need to be strong. But, no matter how I look at you, youâ¦â
Garwin laughed mockingly and continued.
âYou look weak.â
âYou fucker!â
As soon as he spoke, Bazaar drew his sword and quickly closed in on Garwinâs space.
Garwin dodged the sharp horizontal slash by leaning back.
Diagonal slash, thrust, continuous thrusts, upward cut, downward strikeâ¦
But all of them missed.
Unarmed and without even a sword, Garwin avoided every strike, not blocking, not even grazing⦠he dodged them all.
âThis fuckerâ¦â
âIs fucker the only thing that comes out of your mouth? Oh, thatâs right, I havenât introduced myself. My name is Garwin. Iâm a Djinn.â
âA Djinn? Nonsense!â
Garwin was honest about his identity, but Bazaar refused to accept it.
The sword fight⦠or rather, Bazaarâs one-sided sword swinging continued for a while.
Howeverâ¦
âHuff, huff, huffâ¦â
Bazaar was breathing heavily.
It was understandable.
Every full-force sword strike was dodged.
Not only could he not inflict damage, but Garwin didnât even take a hitâ¦.
More than his physical stamina, his mental strength was being eroded.
âYouâ¦what are youâ¦?â
âI told you before, didnât I? Iâm the Djinn Garwin.â
Garwin answered Bazaarâs question again, properly this time.
âIâm quite kind, arenât I?â
Garwin basked in his own sense of kindness.
âIs Garwin-sama really kind?â
Oranjâs question was completely ignored by Isolde.
âHey, Bazaar or whatever, youâre running out of stamina, arenât you? Come at me with your best technique for the last move. Iâll take it without dodging.â
âYou fuckerâ¦â
âI even told you my name, but fucker is all you can say it seemsâ¦â
Garwin shook his head slightly.
Such sarcasm no longer reached Bazaarâs ears.
Bazaarâs face was filled with determination.
His ultimate strike.
If it hit, the fight would be decided.
Then he had no choice but to unleash it!
He readied his sword.
And then he struck.
âSword Art: Five Claw Rapid Thrust.â
It was an ultra-fast series of five thrusts.
Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang.
All five were deflected.
âImpossible!â
Bazaar shouted.
If it were dodged, that would be one thing, but for his supposedly unstoppable five thrusts to be deflected!?
âWeak.â
With that word, Garwinâs fist slammed into Bazaarâs abdomen.
âGuhâ¦â
Bazaar collapsed.
âDo you know? When bad guys lose, they become the slaves of the ones who beat them.â
A sinister smile spread across Garwinâs face.
âYouâre my slave now.â
Saying this, Garwin laughed heartily.
Thus, the Devilâs Guild of the desert kingdom of Julban came under Garwinâs control.
