27. See You Soon

Hey guys its been long I guess! I hope you all are doing great! Thank you so much for waiting for the updates. I really appreciate your support and patience.

But it's not my fault the voting target was not completed and the update got delayed. It hurts to look that due to some votes the readers who vote and comment has to wait this long. I apologize for that.

I might have asked too much and because of that I decided to reduce the voting target.

Mahi's POV:

"We are already late guys, come on hurry up!" Karan as usual was yelling because we were actually late for studio. Yesterday night was fun but thanks to Sameer, we went to sleep early because of his "devdas" drama.

This morning we all woke up and had breakfast together. Nandini didi, Samarth bhai and Kirti left after breakfast. We all decided to get ready here and then directly leave for the studio.

The four of us are going together, while Ahan said he will drop Nitya and Priya. Kabir had some work at the agency so he already left.

"Stop yelling, Karan, we are not deaf yet!" Rishi came out with Priya.

"But I am sure you're blind. Look at the time, you can continue your romance once we finish the recording." Karan showed him his watch and Rishi completely ignored his last sentence.

"Best of Luck guys!" Ahan also came with Nitya alongside him.

"Thanks Ahan, drop my bestie home safely okay." He nodded and gave me a small smile.

"My girlfriend too, she is very precious!" Rishi gave a small peck on Priya's lips and she wished us good luck. I gave a quick side hug to Ahan, Priya and Nitya. We all settled in the car and waved them bye.

Sameer was at the driving seat but he didn't start the car. "Come on dude start the car we are getting late!" I looked in his direction and his eyes were set on Nitya and Ahan.

"We could have dropped her, what was the need of sending them with him." He didn't remove his gaze from them and at this point we all know what is going on.

"Sameer start the goddamn car, we are getting late. This is not the time to discuss all this." Karan said in a curt voice. Sameer looked at them for one more minute and started the car anyway but not before banging his hand on the steering wheel.

Soon we reached the studio. We met the music composer and other team members. Whole setup was already prepared for us. The recording started and we all became busy.

"Oh god I am tired to death." Rishi flopped on the couch in the waiting room.

"We came at 10 and it's 3 in the afternoon already. I am hungry guys, let's have lunch first." I placed my guitar beside the table and moved toward the door but it suddenly opened and there he was.

"What are you doing here?" He said he will be busy the whole day then why is he here?

"I bet you liked my unannounced visit dolphin, didn't you?" He whispered in my ear, and moved past me. Two people came with the trays of food in their hands behind him.

"You all must be hungry after all the practice, here is your lunch." He sat on one of the chairs beside the coffee table.

"Thank you so much Mr Mehra for the lunch." Rishi stuffed his mouth with the white sauce pasta. I was too hungry to think about anything else so I just attacked the food in front of me.

Sameer and Karan went out to have a chat with the composer regarding the recording, Rishi also went out to give Priya a call after they finished eating.

I was busy enjoying the meal, he even brought my favorite subway wrap. I lifted my eyes up and saw him staring at me. I raised my eyebrows in question and he just shook his head.

"You want some?" I took another wrap and forwarded it to him but instead of taking it he stood up and sat beside me.

He grabbed my hand, my eyes widened as he took a bite from my wrap. "I wanted to taste this one." He wiped the sauce from my lower lip. I choked and started to cough.

"Hey take it easy." he started to rub my back and brought the glass of water to my lips. I took a few sips and somehow gulped down the food in my mouth.

My breathing stabilized after a few seconds. He handed me a tissue and I wiped my month with it. "If you are done eating Mahi then let's get back to work." Sameer came inside and picked his stuff.

"I should also leave now, good luck you guys." He looked at me last time and left the room. We all got back to recording and just like that it was 9 in the night.

"Good work guys, by tomorrow we will be done with recording, also the place of shooting will be disclosed to you all tomorrow as it is a surprise." Our producer said. I wondered what this place could be.

"Good night you all." We left after wishing everyone good night.

"Bye guys see you all tomorrow." Sameer dropped me first. After working for the whole day I just want to die in my bed. I entered the house and aunty was there. She ran to give me a tight hug as soon as she saw me coming.

"Welcome home aunty!" I also hugged her back. She took me to the dining table and made me sit beside her.

"My child must be hungry. Here I made your favorite dosa." She passed me the plate with masala dosa and green chutney in it.

"Ahh thank you so much aunty, you are the best!." I took a morsel in my mouth and as always it was the best dosa I ever had. "By the way, when did you come back?" She didn't tell me she was coming back.

"In the evening, Kabir came to pick me up from the airport. I thought you would also come but he told me you are busy recording for your upcoming music video." Kabir didn't even ask me once if I wanted to come.

"Yea we are almost done, tomorrow we will finish everything." I picked up the dish and went to the kitchen. Aunty also came and took something out from the fridge.

"This is for you." I opened the box and it was chocolate pastry. We both talked for a while and then I told her to rest, she must be tired. I went upstairs, a loud voice came from Kabir's room so I went to look.

The door was already open and the vase was shattered on the floor. "Are you okay?" I went inside but what I saw was, he was just in his towel.

"Aa-aa I am sor-sorry. Emm I just heard a voice so-so I came." Immediately covered my eyes and turned to the opposite side. I heard his steps approaching and my heart started to sing its LUB-DUB LUB-DUB LUB-DUB song. (lub-dub is the sound of heart beating)

"Is this the sound of your heart, dolphin?" Even he can hear my heart beat. My heart is going to blast anytime if he stays this close to me even for one more second.

"Ka-Kabir..." My words got stuck in my throat. He turned me around but I didn't remove my hands from my eyes.

"What are you afraid of? I am sure, I am not that scary. You can open your eyes." What the hell is wrong with this person!!

"First you wear your clothes." I said and heard him chuckle. I removed my hands from my eyes and the towel was on the ground.

"Why the hell are you naked?" I was so out of my mind that I only noticed the towel on the ground and not the shorts he was already wearing. He started laughing loudly, heat crept my whole body due to embarrassment.

This person ughh. I really want to hit his head on the wall!!!! "MR JERK MEHRA YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE FOR REAL!!!" I said through gritted teeth and he stopped laughing.

I turned to leave but he grabbed my hand and again turned me toward him. "Acha na baba I am sorry aage se pakka asa nahi karuga." He said with a small smile while his eyes looked into mine.

(Okay I am sorry, I promise I won't do that from now on.)

I folded my hands in front of my chest and narrowed my eyes at him. He thinks he can save himself by making these cute faces? NEVER!

"Acha lo kaan pakad ke sorry kehta hoon baas." He tugged both of his ears to say sorry. I couldn't help but smile at his innocent face.

(Look I am saying sorry by holding my ears too)

"You better not do it next time." He gave me a salute and we both laughed.

"What happened to that vase?" I asked looking at the broken vase on the floor.

"Nothing I just accidently broke it." My eyes went on the open suitcase which was on his bed.

"Are you going somewhere?" I asked, pointing at the suitcase.

"Yes I am leaving for Kerala tomorrow." Oh yea his film shooting is starting tomorrow while ours will be in 1 or 2 days.

"At what time you are leaving tomorrow and when will you come back?" We both will be gone for our work, out of Mumbai. He might take a long time to come back.

"Our flight is at 10 in the morning and it might take us 8-15 days." He wore his t-shirt and started to sort the things in his suitcase. I don't know why but there is this sad kind of feeling in my heart.

"Okay you carry on I will leave now." he didn't say anything and I left. Why didn't he say anything, he could have at least asked to see him off. I quickly freshen up and set the alarm for 6 am. I was too tired and drowsed immediately.

The sound of the alarm made me open my eyes forcefully. I snooze it and get out of the bed.

"Mahi." Aunty's voice was heard and I opened the door.

"Good morning aunty." I rubbed my eyes to have a clear view. She came inside with a big bag in her hand.

"I am so sorry beta. I forgot to tell you that Kabir is leaving for Kerala today. You know right I always keep a pooja whenever he starts something new." She did the same for us when we were going to have our first show.

"I remember aunty." She smiled and gave me the bag.

"Your clothes for the pooja are in this along with the jewelry. Get ready fast okay." She left and I went to take a bath. I quickly changed and got ready. I went downstairs and everyone was already there.

Mahi's outfit:

"You look absolutely gorgeous Mahi." Aunty's compliment made me blush. I looked at Kabir and his eyes were stuck at me. He didn't even blink once.

"Thank you aunty." She moved toward the exit.

"The car is that way Mr Mehra." I pointed toward the car and went forward leaving him behind. He said something but I could not hear him properly. We all settled in the car and left for the temple.

Ahan was already present in the temple. "Aunty, you are looking like Madhubala today." Ahan said and in return got a smack on his arm by Aparna aunty.

"Kuch bhi bolta hai." we all laughed along with him. Aunty handed the thali to panditji. We all did Aarti one by one. The pooja was soon over and panditji gave us prasad.

(You speak nonsense.)

"Chalo ab ghar chale nashta karke airport ke liye nikalna hai." Aunty came back after distributing the prasad among the needy.

(Let's go home, we have to leave for the airport after having breakfast.)

We all reached home, Ahan also came with us because how can he miss aunty's hand breakfast.

She prepared Kabir's favorite breakfast and it was Paneer paratha and waffles along with his masala chai.

We all finished our breakfast and left for the airport. We reached there and his team members were there including Shreya. As soon as she saw us, she came running toward Kabir and grabbed his hand.

"Where were you? Everyone is waiting." She said in an overly sweet voice and I almost cringed. I barely controlled my laugh when Ahan mimicked her actions.

"Hey Kabir, you are here." A person maybe in his early 50s called Kabir with a broad smile. He left Shreya's hand and her expression changed. Kabir hugged that person and Ahan did the same.

"Uncle you are early today." Ahan pulled back and stood beside that person.

"I have to come to see off my sons right?" He smiled and both boys returned the smile with same brightness.

"How are you Aparna it's been a long time." They hugged each other with smiles. Looks like everyone knows him.

"Mahi, Meet Amit Kumar, he is the producer of our film and Ahan's uncle." We exchanged greetings. He is such a kind and cool person to be around. Soon the announcement was made. Everyone wished them good luck.

"Take care beta don't overwork yourself okay!" Aunty said and Kabir assured her that he will take care of himself. Amit uncle wished him the best and gave him his blessing. He came to me while Ahan and Shreya were talking to Aparna aunty and Amit uncle.

"Best of luck Mr Mehra. I am sure you will do the best." I showed him thumbs up and he smiled.

"Take care of yourself, okay! Don't do stupid things when I am not around and drinking is strictly prohibited." He sounds like my mom right now.

"I never do stupid things okay!"

"Don't miss me much, I will call." He said with a small smirk on his lips but this time it didn't made me angry.

"There is no chance I am going to miss you. I am a busy person." Yes I am not going to miss him right?

"Wait for me, I have something to tell you once I come back." He said all in a serious tone. He brushed his index finger on my nose and gave me a smile. Why is he being like this? It just makes me want to stop him.

"Bye dolphin." He said in a low voice. His eyes were little dull. "I will see you soon." with that he left. I looked at him until he vanished.

"Come back soon Kabir." I whispered to myself.
