Mahi's POV:

"Finally it's finished!" I sighed and dropped myself on the blue bean bag. We just finished recording and it went great. After dropping Kabir at the airport I came to the studio.

"It's almost lunch time so.. you guys have lunch first then we all will meet in the meeting room for further details and discussion." Our director informed us and we all made our way to the cafeteria.

Our director Mr. Ishaan Saxena came to the studio today to let us know the destination where the music video will be shot.

"I am super excited to know the place. What if it's Shimla or Assam or we might shoot in foreign countries." Yes as expected this is Rishi.

"You seem over excited?" Karan and Rishi's banter is about to start.

"Of course I am. I am allowed to take Priya with me so we can have our mini vacation there." Rishi's eyes glowed as he talked about this trip.

"Hold your horses Romeo, what if we are going to be in Mumbai only or we might just shoot in Maharashtra?" Karan bumped his shoulder with Rishi's to get him out from his fantasy world.

"Karan, it's a romantic music video so I am okay as long as the place gives romantic vibes. What do you think Nitya, where this shoot could be?" Rishi asked Nitya who was walking beside me.

Our director called Nitya as well because she is going to be the main actor in the video. She didn't say anything so Sameer spoke instead "You will know after lunch break so stop asking." he went ahead leaving us all behind.

"Lagta hai neend puri nahi hui iski is liye katne daud raha hai." We all laughed at Rishi's remark.

(Looks like he didn't have enough sleep, that's why he is running to bite us.)

All five of us settled on the empty table and ordered our food. They all were talking when my phone buzzed with notification. I checked and it was a text message from Mr Jerk.

"Should I change his contact name on my phone?" I asked myself. "No No this name suits him." My mind replied.

Chat:

Kabir: "We just landed."

Mahi: "Oh great!"

Kabir: "Had lunch?"

Mahi: "Lunch in process" "Already missing me Mr Mehra?" I asked to tease him.

Kabir: "Am I supposed to?" Such an insensitive person but yea why he will miss me. That Shreya is there beside him.

Mahi: "Oh yea why would you, when your RUMORED GIRLFRIEND is there with you my bad!"

Kabir: "Jealous are we?"

Mahi: "Why the hell will I be jealous? Don't think so highly of you!" What does he think of himself? Humph!

Kabir: "We will see. Call me when you get home okay. Take care."

Mahi: "BYE!🙄🥱"

I put my phone aside and started eating. I am not going to call him. If he wants, he can call me himself. After finishing our lunch we went to the meeting room.

Our director came with the composer after a few minutes. "So let's discuss the place where we are going to shoot." We all nodded.

"The thing is that first we decided to shoot in Jaipur Rajasthan but the story of the video didn't set well with that place. I wanted a place where nature is reflected everywhere. And the story fits well with this place." He explained his reasons.

"So at last I selected Alappuzha, Kerala. The coincidence is that Kabir also went to Alappuzha and as you are the artists of his agency I booked the same resort they are staying in." Wait, does it mean we are also going Kerala?

"That place is beautiful and it screams nature. The romantic scenes will look absolutely perfect there. You all know that the story is of two people who meet on a group tour and how they fell in love with each other." We all knew the story and the leads would be Sameer and Nitya.

The place was not disclosed to us but I never expected Kerala to be. It's good to give him a surprise. "Ishaan sir, does Mr Mehra know that we all are also going to shoot there?" I asked.

"Not yet but I will inform him in the evening." Great, he still doesn't know.

"How about you don't tell him?" He narrowed his eyes on me in question.

"I mean you are his friend he would be surprised to see you there." I just tried to convince him. They are good friends so he might agree.

"Yes sir, it's a great idea. Let's not tell him, I am sure he will be surprised to see all of us there." Rishi really helps sometimes.

"Okay we won't tell him but he might know about it at last." He is right there are a lot of people he knows so he might get the news of our arrival.

"Don't worry sir, only the people present in this room know about this so we can try, this news is not known by many and only to important people." He agreed on Rishi's statement and we all decided to not tell him.

"We are leaving tomorrow morning so go and prepare for it. We will be gone for 4-5 days max so bring luggage accordingly." He informed us and left.

We also decide to leave and start packing for tomorrow. I and Nitya went with Sameer as always. "Bye guys see you tomorrow!" I waved at them and they left after dropping me.

"You are home!" Aunty welcomed me with her bright smile.

"How was your day?" I asked and sat beside her on the sofa. She passed me the plate filled with fruits in it which I took.

"How was your recording?" She asked and made me eat a slice of orange.

"It went great and you know what, we are going to Kerala for the shoot." She smiled looking at me.

"Wow Kabir also went there right?" I placed the plate on the table and nodded.

"Yes I need to start packing. We are leaving tomorrow morning. I also have to call grandpa to give him this news." I stood up with my guitar bag.

"Let me help you in packing." She offered to help and I agreed.

"Also aunty, Don't tell him that we are also coming to Kerala. Our Director wants to surprise him." It's never bad to hide little details like this was my idea right?

"Okay I won't. Come on, let's go. Should we go shopping?" She seems more excited than me.

"No No aunty! We already shopped a lot last time. No more shopping." She somehow agreed. She really loves shopping and it's hard to convince her to not.

"I will call grandpa now." We both entered in my room and I dialed grandpa number.

"Hello Grandpa!" He picked after three rings.

"How is my princess?" I can sense his broad smile.

"I am good and how are you?" I flopped on my bed while aunty took out my suitcase from the cupboard.

"I am fit and fine like always." He answered.

"You know what grandpa I am leaving for Kerala tomorrow. The shoot will be there." I told him.

"Really? I am so proud of you. Enjoy and best of luck from this old man." He has always been supportive while my parents don't even care.

"Thanks to the old handsome man. By the way, where is Rohan?" It's been more than a week since I last talked to him.

"He went outside to shoot a video for his youtube channel." As expected he must be shooting a vlog or something.

"Okay tell him to call me. Here, talk to Aparna aunty." I handed the phone to her. I went to my wardrobe and picked the clothes I thought were suitable for the trip.

Kabir's POV:

It's almost 6 in the evening and she still hasn't given me a call. I was about to call her when I heard a knock. I went and opened the door, it was Shreya.

"Hey, why are you here in your room while everyone's out having fun. Come on, join us." She grabbed my hand.

"I am tired, you go enjoy." I withdrew my hand from her grip.

"Kabir come on look, the weather is too good to stay in your room. We can drink together if you want." She came closer to me and kept her hand on my chest.

"I said, I am tired so don't bother me." I removed her hand and shut the door in her face. She is really irritating. I picked up my phone from the bed and dialed Mahi's number.

"Hello who's this?" A smile formed on my lips as I heard her voice. It's been more than 10 hours since I haven't heard her voice.

"Itni jaldi bhul bhi gayi muje? Abhi toh ek din bhi nehi hua muje gaye hue."

(You forgot about me this soon? It's not even been a day since I left.)

"Oh acha aap hai... mujhe laga pata nahi kon hai. Kyon ki apne to kaha tha na ke meri yaad nahi ayegi." She really thinks I won't miss her. How can I not miss her? If I could, I would not have left her side for even a minute.

(Oh it's you I thought it was someone else because you told me you won't even miss me.)

"I never said I won't" She is really cute when she is angry.

"Whatever why you called?" She asked in a not-so-bothered voice.

"I told you to call me when you get back home but you didn't"

"About that, I became busy so I didn't. And I don't need to report to you okay. You enjoy yourself, no one is bothering you." There she goes again.

"You can never bother me. Your presence only brings me comfort." My words made her silent and she didn't say anything.

"Why were you busy?" I changed the topic so it doesn't become awkward for her.

"We are leaving tomorrow for shooting so I need to pack the stuff." She is leaving tomorrow?

"Where are you all going?"

"Aa.. Rajasthan." She answered. Ishaan told me about it but he was not sure. Maybe he decided.

"Okay take care of yourself there. When you will be back to Mumbai?" I asked and a knock was again heard. "Wait a minute." I kept a hand on my phone and told the person on the door to wait.

"I will call you later bye." I hung up the phone and went to open the door. It was Akash on the door.

"Sir, the costume designer of the movie is here. You were supposed to meet them today." He informed me and I nodded.

"I will be there in a minute." He moved aside to leave and Ahan came as he got the chance.

"What's up bro why are you in your room? Your rumored girlfriend is waiting for you outside." This was the reason I was not letting him enter my room. Why is everyone talking about Shreya today?

"Stop with your nonsense Ahan and leave." But he completely ignored me and dropped himself on my bed.

"Don't be so harsh on me Kabir. Oh yea the costume designer is coming to meet us right? Uncle specially selected her even though she was not ready for this but he still somehow convinced her. She is a fashion designer but on uncle's special request she was ready to design the costumes for us. I don't remember her name but let's meet her."

"She is very talented and well known in her field. Her brand is also famous in Paris. Uncle really did a lot to get her on board." he kept on saying and I just want to throw him out right now.

"Are you done then let's go. We are meeting her. You can praise her as much as you want when we meet her. Come on now, get up and stop messing my bed. It was perfectly organized." I grabbed him by the arm and made him stand.

He lazily stood up and went toward the door. We both left my room and went to the garden area where everyone was present. Shreya, Akash, Kunal (assistant director) were there with a woman. Her back was facing me so I couldn't see her properly.

"Hello everyone." Ahan made all of them aware of our presence and they turned toward us, including her. The moment our eyes met, every single memory rushed back to my mind. She is back after all these years? Why now?

"Ta-Tanya?" It's been ages since I saw her or called her name out loud.
