Kabir's POV:

"Have a seat Shreya." I pulled a chair for her and she confusingly looked at me but sat on the chair at last.

I went and took my seat opposite to her. We were in my office room and Ahan was seated on the side couch playing with the paper weight in his hand.

"What discussion are we having here? Is it related to our movie?" Shreya looked at me and then at Ahan.

"It is about the movie but let's talk about the article first." I passed the I-pad in which the article was open. She looked at it with a straight face. Indeed she is a good actress.

"What do we have to discuss? Wasn't the whole press conference about it?" She smiled and the blood rush in my veins increased.

"Of course it was. But you know these photos were deliberately clicked by someone. There was someone who was keeping an eye on all of us and then they sent these photos to the media." Her face turned a little pale but she kept her expressions composed

"I knew it, someone did this deliberately to tarnish our images. But who could that be?" Drama and more drama well let's play it then.

"Exactly who could do this. An insider?" Ahan stood up and moved close to Shreya. "Do you suspect anyone Shreya?" He whispered near her ear and I could feel her getting nervous at this point.

"Why would an insider do something like that? Our team is trustworthy and we can't suspect anyone." She wiped her sweat and calmly replied.

"You are right our team is trustworthy but luckily we found someone who knows that person who did all this." I picked my office phone and instructed Akash to bring the man inside.

"You- found a person? But he can be lying too, right?" She leaned in and spoke in a hurry.

"Yes but again we are fortunate, he has proof." She stopped moving her hands and looked at me.

"Sir." Akash entered with the man. Shreya was still rooted at her place. Ahan smirked looking at her state. I nodded and the man came closer and stood beside her.

"Do you think you know him, Miss Mishra?" I stood up from my place and leaned in, keeping my hands on the desk.

"How can I know him? He has nothing to do with me." She exclaimed without even looking at the man.

"Okay. Let me ask you. You know her?" I turned my gaze to the man and he already looked afraid from the whole situation.

"Yes sir. She was the one who hired me to click your photos in Kerala." I straightened myself and folded my arms below my chest.

"Do you have anything to explain, Shreya?" I still was trying to be calm but looking at her face my anger only raised a level high.

"What the fuck you are saying? Trust me Kabir I don't know him. I have nothing to do with him. He is trying to frame me." She immediately came closer and held my hand.

My hand fisted and I yanked her away from me. "We have proof, let's hear this. Things will be clear." Ahan said and turned the footage on.

"Click our photos and try to take intimate ones. Capture every single moment. I want the best photos to be posted. Media loves spice and anything related to Kabir makes headlines." Shreya handed a bundle of money to the man.

"Don't worry about the money. You will be paid fairly just to make sure that no one catches you or you are as good as dead. Also not only mine but make sure you capture Tanya and Kabir as well." The footage ended and we all looked at Shreya.

Her eyes turned red and her body trembled. "You bastard! You dared to betray me. I was the one who paid you and this is what you did." She grabbed the man's neck, making him choke for air.

"Leave him Shreya!" I pulled her hands back and the man started to cough.

"I will kill this piece of shit!" She shouted trying to get out of my grip.

"Shreya behave yourself or else I will have to call the cops!" Ahan shouted and she stopped struggling.

"Kabir, trust me, I did all of this for you. For us! We should be together. I am the one you should be with. Even our fans love us. We are destined to be together. I love you, you know that right! That Mahi came out of nowhere. She doesn't deserve you at all. I am the one for you. I am sure you will forget that bitch and come to me right?" She again grabbed my hand.

Her words boiled my blood and I again yanked her away. "Dare to say anything about her and you will lose everything you have, Shreya!" I warned her but she lost it.

"Why? Why the fuck you care about her so much huh? I knew you even before she came into your life. That bitch stole you from me! She will be ruined. I will make sure that happens!" She spat in anger.

"Shut the fuck up Shreya!" I banged my hand on the desk and she flinched in fear.

"At first I thought you would at least regret what you did but it doesn't look like that will happen. What do you think about how the media doesn't know about me and Mahi till now because I made sure that no one knows. I made sure to protect her privacy but you ruined it!"

"Call the cops Ahan. I want her gone from my sight. Now my lawyer will deal with you." I picked my phone up.

"You dared to hurt my girl, be ready to pay the price and I will make sure to make this worse for you. Now get the fucking out of my office before I lose every ounce of control." Ahan grabbed her hand but she pulled it back.

"You can't do this to me Kabir! Please don't do this to me. I can't live without you. I worked so hard just to get close to you. Don't do this to me." Her voice was irritating and I was controlling the urge to not throw her out myself.

"Don't worry I already called the cops, they will be here any minute." Ahan informed, looking at Shreya. She sat on the floor and sobbed, hiding her face in her palms.

My phone rang continuously and the screen showed Dolphin. I was not in a state to talk to her right now. I will tell her everything but now is not the right time.

"Sir the cops are here." Akash informed and the officers entered. The female constable made Shreya stand. Her tears dried by now and head hung low.

"You also need to come to the police station for the procedure and FIR." The head officer informed me and I agreed.

Mahi's POV:

It's almost 7 pm and he is still not here. I called him countless times but he is not even picking up. I once again dialed his number but the line says it's switched off.

"Where are you Kabir?" I have been walking back and forth for the past 1 hour. "For god sake at least reply to my messages!" I yelled at my phone screen.

"What happened Mahi?" I turned upon hearing grandpa's voice.

"Grandpa, he is not picking up my calls nor replying to my messages. He said he will come in the evening to meet you." I said in frustration and sat on the near couch.

"He must have been busy. Don't worry if he said he will come then I am sure he will" Grandpa sat beside me and Rohan also came into the living room along with mom and dad.

"It's dinner time. Let's have dinner." Dad ordered.

"I am not hungry." I replied without looking at them. I again refreshed to check if he had dropped any messages but nothing.

"Mahi he will come. After I saw the press conference video I am sure he is a man of his words. And if he is busy then you can go and meet him in the morning." Dad's words made me turn my head and look up at him.

He seemed impressed by him and the most shocking thing from the morning is that he didn't receive a single call from his work. He has been spending time with us since I got back in the afternoon.

This change is surprising but I still can't bring myself to believe all this. He can again go back to his usual self anytime.

"Come on, let's have dinner okay." He held my hand and we made our way to the dining table. Looking at my whole family together at the dinner table felt surreal. It's been years since I saw everyone like this.

Rohan kept on blabbering about his youtube channel. The dinner was a different kind of event today. Mom and dad tried to engage in the conversation but I didn't feel like talking much.

"I am going out for fresh air." I said as I was done with my food. I picked up my phone and dialed his number but again no response.

"You really have the audacity to not pick my calls just wait I will show you what I can do." I shouted, looking at my phone screen.

"Then show me what you can do, dolphin." I heard his deep voice near my temples and immediately turned but bumped my head in his chest. His chest rumbled as he laughed.

"Mr Mehra you really have a death wish!" I rubbed my forehead and this felt like a dejavu.

"Nah I have a whole life to spend with you. I still want to live." He caressed my head lightly but I removed his hand.

"Do you even know I have been trying to call you since afternoon? Do you even care? I was so worried when you were not picking up your calls." I was ranting but he just kept smiling.

"I am serious! Kabir don't do this, you have the phone right? then make use of it and pick up when someone calls you." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"My phone broke." he showed his broken phone in his hands.

"How did this happen?" I asked as it was badly crushed.

"A car ran over it." My eyes widened listening to his words.

"What? Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere are-" He cut me of.

"Shhh" He kept his index finger on my lips "I am okay nothing happened. A car crashed into it when I went to the police station." I was not able to comprehend what he meant.

"Police station, why? What is going on?" I asked, grabbing his arm and he said what happened after I left the agency.

"Shreya? I knew she is not a kind person but this is just too much." I was too shocked to digest whatever he told me.

"I know but don't worry. Everything is good now." He kept his hand on mine.

"She will be in jail?" I was not sure what would happen to her.

"The investigation will take place and the court might ask for a fine." Thank god. I mean whatever she did but jail would be too much.

"Now don't worry about anything else. Everything is fine now. Let's go inside, it's getting chilly here. I have to meet your grandpa as well." I nodded and we made our way inside.

I hope everything will be good now. I wish we all can be at peace and happy.
