Epilogue
His To Adore
Three years later~
Mahi's POV:
"Where are you taking me Kabir?" His grip was gentle but firm around my wrist.
"I have waited enough dolphin." He replied without looking back at me. Of course he waited for the whole 48 hours. He dragged me down to one of the hallways of the huge palace.
"Kabir, there are a lot of people. They will get suspicious if we leave like that." I tried to reason but he won't listen.
His pace increased with every step we took. We turned and he started walking away from the courtyard of the palace. Suddenly he stopped and pushed the door open of the first room that came in view.
"Kabi-" He gently pushed me inside and closed the door behind him. His hazel eyes were fixed on me. The heavy lehenga I wore was already making it hard for me to move.
"Kabir we can't-"
"Hushh.." He placed his index finger on my lips. "Do you expect me to control, when you look this ravishing? Not happening." His voice was slow but deep enough to escalate the burning desire.
"I waited for 49 hours and 38 minutes just to look at you." he took a step forward. "Just to touch you." His fingers traced my bare waist. My lashes flutter shut, his warm touch melted my skin.
A gasp left my lips when he pulled me with a jerk. "Just to smell you. The time I spent away from you felt like hell." He sharply inhaled near the crook of my neck.
My body shuddered under the touch of his soft lips. A low moan escaped my lips when he sharply sucked my skin. No he can't leave any marks behind, not today!
"Fuck! I missed you. I missed you like I have never before. "He whispered in my skin. His hot breath hit like a warm touch I craved.
"We have been apart even for more than a month before but these 2 days felt like an eternity." He looked up at me. His eyes filled with so much love and happiness.
"And the only reason I waited was because this wait was going to make you mine, only mine for everyone to know, Mrs Mahi Kabir Mehra." I imagined him calling me this numerous times but now it feels so different and good.
All the music and worries faded away. All I remember is him and I. I would be lying if I say this doesn't affect me because I felt thousands of butterflies erupting in my stomach when he said that, Mrs Mahi Kabir Mehra.
"I love that red hue on your cheeks, you know that right?" He lifted my face a little when I turned my gaze away. It's been three years but he still knows how to turn me into a blushing mess just with his words.
He dipped his head, his lips almost touching mine. When it stricken, my palm flew to his mouth. His expressions were worth every penny we spent for today.
He looked baffled like I took away his favorite candy. He raised his brows with the lines of confusion and frustration on his forehead.
"My lipstick. You can't ruin it today." His face clearly said are you serious? He removed my palm and locked it behind my back.
"Didn't you put it just to get it ruined by me, wifey? It's my right." The glint of mischief was bright in his eyes.
"Don't deprive me of my rights." He whispered closer to my lips and there I lost it.
His lips gently touched mine. The kiss was soft, like a touch of silk to my skin. His finger lingered on my bare waist, every touch was known to my body but still felt different, beautiful.
We have been together for three years and it's not like we haven't shared intimate time together.
We shared every beautiful moment that two people in love will have. But today, this feels more special and something that I will treasure all of my life.
The time only deepened our love for each other. Our bond grew stronger and I feel at peace when I am with him. He feels like a home you want to return to after a tiring day.
A knock followed by a few more loud ones broke the magical moment. We pulled back and he helped me fix my messy state, all thanks to him.
"Come in." I tried to look as normal as I could. I don't want the people out to call us desperate.
Rishi entered with a face that looked like he was so done with everything. "Guys please spare us. It's been just half an hour you got married and you will have the whole night no, the whole life for your romance. Aunty won't let us have dinner. She wants the brides and the grooms to eat first. Please finish your business. People here are hungry." He was pissed.
"At least they decided to get a room for themselves but the other couple didn't even bother." Priya barged in, fisting her lehenga.
"This double wedding. Whose idea it was!" Rishi looked at us with frowned brows.
"You were the most excited one out of all." Priya mocked him and I tried my best to suppress my laughter.
"Come on guys, the people are waiting for the celebrity couple." Priya helped me walk while Kabir and Rishi followed.
"Thank god there is no media here." Rishi looked around as we approached the courtyard.
They both are engaged and planning to get married next year. Never thought I will be the one getting married before them.
We reached the courtyard where every important person in our life was present. Mom and dad looked beyond happy. The cracks in our bond healed with time. They changed and now the family does feel complete.
Grandpa warned everyone to not stop him from eating sweets today. Rohan finally has a girlfriend and I think she handles him well.
I looked at the other side where Karan was helping Kirti to click her picture. They are enjoying their dating era and he is less grumpy now but he and Rishi will never change.
"Kabir, you really lack patience, my boy." Ahan whispered loud enough for all of us to hear. My cheek heated up. I told him they will know. God this is more embarrassing when it happens on the day of your wedding.
"Stop teasing him Ahan!" Tanya scolded and like a good boyfriend he is, he obliged. Yes they are together. This was the most unexpected thing that happened in the last 3 years.
The reckless Ahan was successful making the sensible Tanya fall for him but it was not an easy nut to crack though. He pursued her for almost a year and half but finally the boy got the girl.
They are also getting married next month. "Wait for your turn Ahan." Priya chuckled. "You are not very different from your best friend."
"We have been waiting for you. Let's have dinner." Aparna mom came and took my hand. I hope she doesn't know.
"Nitya! Sammer! Bas karo yar honeymoon abhi baki hai." Kirti called them and everyone started laughing. Nitya almost pushed Sameer to the ground.
(Nitya! Sameer! Stop for now the honeymoon is yet to start.)
"Stop teasing them Kirti." Nandini di smacked her arm and Samarth bhai came from behind with the little chipmunk in his hands. It's been almost 3 years they got married and now they are parents to this little baby boy, Sahaj.
"What? She is my wife now. You guys are just jealous of us." Sameer glared at Kirti and in return Karan showed him the side eye.
"Ignore them, come sit here." Mom made four of us sit together. "This is your first meal together as married couples so feed each other." Rohan brought the plates for us.
"Nitya I am waiting." Sameer opened his mouth and Nitya shyly forwarded the morsel.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh" all playfully cheered for them.
"Your turn Mahi." I tore a small bite and forwarded it. He bit my fingers lightly and smirked. Just wait Mr Mehra.
"Boys it's your turn to feed your wife." They cheered.
He tore a bite and fed me. I deliberately bit hard on his fingers but he didn't budge. My eyes widened and I let go of his hand. Everyone went to have their dinner and the four of us were left alone.
Nitya and Sameer got busy on their own. Kabir kept feeding me until I was full. "That's it. I can't eat anymore." I stopped him.
"You will need the energy to finish what we started, dolphin." He winked shamelessly.
"You-" He cut me off "Bite a little hard next time." He whispered and I was a blushing mess again.
"Everything aside. Mahi, you mean everything to me and today I really feel blessed. I had everything before you but having you completes me. You are an inseparable part of me. I have said it many times but I know no matter how many times I say it, it still doesn't feel enough." He held my hand and placed it on his heart.
"But I hope this says it loud and clear." How I got this lucky.
"I love you Mr Kabir Mahi Deshmukh." He let out a chuckle and placed a soft kiss on my head. "I love you too Mrs Mahi Kabir Mehra."
