Chapter 582
Daddy, Mommy had been in Prison
Meanwhile in Svero, Wilson and Elsie had rested for half a day, since there were about eight hours between the time zones.
Getting off the plane, theyâd stopped right in the kingâs palace airport.
After that, Wilson and Elsie had passed through layer after layer of security, clearly showing that they werenât carrying any weapons.
The process took almost an hour. After all the procedures were done, the royal guard allowed them a brief respite inside the palace lounge.
Wilson couldnât rest easy with Elsie in another room, so Wilson decided to live out of the same room with her.
Of course, each of them had a bed of their own. The space was luxurious, with a lavish living room, an enormous bathroom, and several gigantic beds. A family of four could have lived out of here and had enough space to themselves.
It was still midnight when they bedded down and the king couldnât have come to see them at this time. Besides, the flight had been too tiring, and it was just right for a good nightâs sleep.
The people there treated them with every courtesy. After making sure they didnât present any danger, the servants and the staff inside the palace grew as polite towards them as possible.
Wilson and Elsie slept for six whole hours, and at eight in the morning in Svero, Wilson woke, showered, and put on Sveran clothes.
He spoke Sveran himself, and after getting up, he called for room service. The Sveran staff came in, and Wilson spoke.
âCan you prepare an Eastern-style breakfast?â
âOf course. What would you like?â
Wilson knew that Elsie liked to have buns in the morning. He didnât know if they could make it inside the palace, but with how rich the king of Svero was, he probably had chefs from every culture there was.
After he ordered breakfast, the staff grinned.
âWe have several five-star Eastern chefs in the kitchen preparing. His Majesty regularly invites people from your country as business guests for negotiation. Donât worry, your tastes will be satisfied.â
The person speaking was a middle-aged woman in her thirties. She looked polite and treated them courteously. Luckily, Wilson knew Sveran himself, so they spoke fluently enough with each other without the need of a translator.
After having the staff prepare breakfast, Wilson went to two other rooms. He hadnât come alone with Elsie. Heâd brought several negotiators and trusted personnel. There were eight of them all together. The other six were living in two other rooms, three in each. All men. Elsie was the only woman.
âBoss, is the missus still sleeping?â
When Wilson went to ask about the situation for those ones, a built man asked the question. Everyone in the team knew that Elsie was the missus now.
Wilson chuckled at his underling.
âSheâs still sleeping. Iâve left instructions for the people over here to ready breakfast. They have Eastern chefs here. Iâm guessing that after breakfast, the kingâs people will come see us. Wise up and observe whatâs going on in this palace. It might be safe for the king himself, but be careful. Donât shrink, but donât start trouble.â
âDonât worry, boss. Weâll be cautious.â
After commanding his own men, Wilson went back to his room and saw Elsie, having gotten dressed.
âWhere have you been? Scared me half to death. I didnât see anyone in your room and was about to go out and look for you.â
The moment Wilson walked in, Elsie grabbed his hand worriedly.
Sheâd been awake for barely a few minutes and hadnât even gotten dressed when she started calling around for Wilson. Nobody batted an eye at her and she didnât know the native language. She couldnât get the staff in the palace to come in either. So she just had to get dressed and go looking for Wilson. Not finding him, she was getting frantic.
She was about to leave when luckily, Wilson walked in at that moment.
âI just went to the two other rooms. We brought men with us and theyâve woken up. Theyâre washing now. Iâve instructed the people in the palace to get breakfast ready. Wash up and see if thereâs anything else you need to prepare. If not, weâll go to the dining hall to wait for breakfast.â
âWait for me, Iâll be ready soon.â
Elsie said, then went straight to the bathroom to freshen up. She hadnât cleaned herself up at all.
Ever since becoming official with Wilson, sheâd become stuck more and more to this man. Sheâd known that it wasnât so suitable for her to come to such a place, but sheâd just gotten together with Wilson. If they parted now, she couldnât bear it.
And for some reason, she felt like she had to be here just to settle herself. Even though Georgia had told her not too, even though sheâd seemed unwilling to see her here, sheâd still went with her own will and come with Wilson to Svero.
She might have been afraid, but so long as she was with Wilson, no matter where she was, she was happy for it.
It took about fifteen minutes for her to wash and put on some mild makeup. Elsie came out hand in hand with Wilson.
âLetâs go eat.â
Wilson nodded, took Elsieâs hand, and led her out of the room. He knocked on the other two doors and had the other six follow them to the dining hall.
âYou look beautiful today, missus. Sveran clothes suit your face really well.â
Someone complimented from behind. Elsie smiled a little shyly and couldnât help but look at Wilson.
âDo you think Sveran clothes look good on me? Howâs my makeup?â
Maybe because she was in love, but she now devoted particular care to her appearance and daily getup. Sheâd just picked random clothes before and didnât much go for makeup. Now that she was with Wilson, she understood what the saying meant, about how women prettied themselves for those they cared for.
Wilson smiled.
âYou look great in bright colors. Sveran clothes are full of complex patterns. If you like it, we can buy a few outfits before we go back, and you could gift some to Georgia and Vanessa, after we save her.â
That had Elsie overjoyed. Thatâs right, she was in this country now. Sheâd been busy looking for Vanessa last time and hadnât concerned herself with the culture of this country. She had to get some souvenirs for her friends after this.
Of course, that was all provided she could keep safe and find Vanessa. Otherwise, she wouldnât be able to be so casual.
After heading to the dining hall, the workers took them to a giant compartment and had them sit. Servers came straight away and set breakfast on the table.
Elsie looked at the buns she liked. Sheâd been with Wilson for a while now. Thinking of it today, she suddenly felt like a fool.
She was a bit klutzy and never had the best memory. She never looked at forecasts and never thought about what to do when it rained. She had nose allergies had needed tissues with her, but she never remembered that, either.
Daddy, Mommy had been in Prison ï¤Chapter 581 The King of Svero The Unexpected Marriage ï¤Chapter 251 What's The Use Of You Have I Told You Lately ï¤Chapter 147 It must Feel Good to Have Him Drive Me to Work Ever since getting together with Wilson, sheâd never had to worry about all that again. If she went out with Wilson, or walked off alone when it was raining, there was always an umbrella in her bag, and a packet of tissues.
There were charging ports out there that let people charge their phones at any time, but her bag always had a fully charged portable charger that Wilson set there for her, along with a prepared data line. She felt like a baby being with Wilson.
Eating out, before she even ordered anything or just decided to let Wilson order, it would always be dishes that she liked. Before sheâd even established a relationship with Wilson, it seemed theyâd already started this sort of life, taking care of each other. Well, really, it was Wilson taking care of her unilaterally. She bent her head and smiled sweetly, suddenly feeling very blessed.
After breakfast, a somewhat high-rank looking officer spoke to Wilson and Elsie.
